West Peak: A litRPG Adventure

Rate this book
After narrowly escaping the sacrificial alter, Evelyn finds herself trapped in a labyrinth of tunnels deep underground. Lost, injured, and separated from her friends, she begins a new journey that will drag her into a conflict that she hadn't known existed, lead her to uncover the side of history that has been hidden from her, and finally begin to understand her new life and the world she has become a part of. None of this will come easy, however. Choosing a her way forward is clouded by the trauma and shame that haunt her every thought, the heartbreak over the death of her friend, and her desire for revenge. It does not help that her injuries in both body and soul force her to stay in her natural fox form while she heals. First things first. She will need help if she is going to escape the tunnels and find her way back home - but making allies becomes a new challenge while lacking the ability to speak.

A delightful romp of a book that served as an excellent break from the more serious stuff I generally read.

Great to see more of this world and of Evie and Amelie.

Can't wait for part three!

Outstanding

Love the smooth progression. Lot's of humor and heart moving moments. So many open questions. Where will Evelyn and Amelie go now. I must know!! I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat for the next book

Better than the first book and it was pretty good!

Wow, great series so far. Love how this one ended with lots of potential avenues for addition books but not on such a cliffhanger that you are left lambasting the author for doing such a mean thing to you, lol.

The middle of this one really dragged - as is often the way with web serials - but by the end I was very excited! The first fox only arc was an excellent change of pace, the middle was unfortunately tedious, and then the ending was imaginative and kept the pages turning. I'm going to keep reading.

The actions feel too artificial, and that no sane person would take them. I know that the author tagged the book as 14-18yo, but that can't be excuse!

Hard to put down

The combination of a bright and cheerful MC with a dark and terrible world continues to be great in this second book. Can’t wait for the next one

Excellent Story

Excellent. Can't wait for the next one. Please don't make her go to the other side. I will be very, very unhappy if you do.

This is basically the same deal with the first book. Except this time the protagonist has an actual goal to accomplish from the beginning, which, in my opinion, is exactly what the story needed. I think I liked this one a bit more than the first one. It goes a bit deeper and harder into the darker elements and body horror of the first book, while also introducing more characters, building the world up more, and explaining some of the questions that the first book left open. If you like anime or Japanese Light Novels, you'll probably enjoy this one.

I do see more negative than positive reviews on the first book, which is unfortunate. It was a fun book, despite its flaws.

I absolutely adore Evie and Amelie and I'm a very sad panda that the next book isn't out yet. I suppose I shall suffer and occasionally re-read this and the first book instead of the next.

Excellent writing and story and I enjoy the setting quite a lot. THAT PLOT TWIST! I jumped out of my seat when I read it. Very enjoyable and I can't wait for more.

Heroines got it harder then heroes

Really a lot of male characters who act like SA criminals just get off with a slap on the hand. I hope the sisters take more permanent punishments for those idiots.
