This was a new adult contemporary romance story, featuring a girl and her bodyguard.

Lexi was an okay character although she did make some decisions that weren’t in her best interests, and didn’t seem to consider that she might be in real danger.

The storyline in this was Lexi going to college, and having to take her new bodyguard Kevin with her because Axel (from book 1) was worried about her. We then got quite a slow attraction happening, which then built up to a very fast progression in the hea

This is the second book in the Chadwell Heart's series. While it is not necessary to read book one, it certainly helps. There is some overlap in the series and things will make more sense if you start from the beginning.

Lexi is a young woman who may be small, but she is full of fire. She is set to testify against a very bad man, and that puts her in danger. Lexi has been working on the ranch tending horses but she is off the get a degree and college is her opportunity to start a new life for

No One’s Hero is the sequel to No One’s Angel, but the focus this time is on Lexi Feron and Kevin Morrison. I really liked No One’s Angel so when I was given the chance to read No One’s Hero early, I took it and I’m glad I did. I loved No One’s Hero! From the first page I was hooked and pretty much read it all in one day.

We first meet Lexi and Kevin in No One’s Angel, and honestly, it had been such a long time since I read that book that I couldn’t remember who they were (plus my bad

No One's Hero is the second book in the Chadwell Hearts Series. This was a quick read, but an enjoyable one. I will say that I think I liked No One's Angel a little better, but this was still a great book. This wasn't the typical NA college story that are out there. I loved that the hero wasn't a player and the girl wasn't a young naive girl. Don't get m

☆☆☆☆ 4 Lexi Stars☆☆☆☆

No One’s Hero is the second book of the Chadwell series and focuses on Lexi and Kevin after the fallout of Angel’s ex in No One’s Angel. This book can be read as standalone but I highly suggest that you read No One’s Angel in order to get a better understanding why Kevin is needed to protect Lexi.

College is a place where one begins to find oneself and explore their independence. For Lexi Feron, she ha

Okay, I took longer than I should to get back to this and why? Why did I do that? I'm kicking myself for putting it on the back burner. Out of
both books so far in the series, this is by far my favorite. I loved it.

Why not a 5 star? It would have been but something in the twist didn't pan out for me in a believable way. Otherwise, it was exactly what I wanted in a story.

Before reading this book, it's imperative, that y

Loved this book and loved Kevin. There was a huge twist that came out of nowhere and blindsided me but I think I've recovered. I'm ready for a book three!

P.S. Kelly, I'm thinking book three centers around Warren? And a girl who shall remain nameless to avoid giving any spoilers away. This is just a hunch of course. Awesome job by the way.

I loved No One's Hero so much that I hope Kelly didn't grow tired of me fangirling on her over the internet. But seriously, she's one of the most awesome authors ever!

Moving on...

No One's Hero covers the story of Kevin and Lexi. Based on what I still remember (Well, it's been a long time since I read No One's Angel so forgive me LOL) Lexi is one of the witnesses against Angel's ex-boyfriend, Nick. Nick's men are in search for Lexi while he's in jail so Lexi really
I began reading No One's Hero with some trepidation, I requested No One's Hero without knowing it was the second book in a series. After looking at the synopsis for both books it looked like this could be read as a stand alone as No One's Hero follows different characters to the previous book.

Lexi is escaping the pressure from home and going to college hours away, but her plan doesn't go like she wanted it to and she finds herself accompanied by Kevin, her bodyguard hired by Axel to keep her saf

I need to start this with a couple of confessions. First, I didn’t realize when I started this book is that it’s the second one in a series. It’s not necessary to read them in order but, in truth, I would have been slightly less confused if I had read the first book. I would have better understood the situation that these characters were facing and spent less time wanting more details. However, my second confession is that, even with my periods of confusion at the beginning, I still enjoyed this ...more

Disclaimer, I received this book as ARC in return for my review.

OMG I loved it, favorite line of the whole book "lexi-confetti" sorry had to put that in my review somewhere and really couldn't find a place.

No One's Hero is the 2nd book in the Chadwell Hearts series and if you haven't read No One's Angel you could probably still read this book, but it wouldn't be the same. My favorite characters from No One's Angel appear in this book but there is a enough back story (without completely retelling
A solid 3.5 Stars

I have to say that while I did enjoy this story I had absolutely no connection with the heroine. We are introduced to her in a unique way. In the previous story, Axel and Angel, Angel had been stalked and her friend had been beaten so Axel hires Kevin to protect Lexi while she goes to college until the stalker case goes to court.
Lexi, of course, throws a tantrum about not needing a bodyguard, etc. then comes around. I do have to say she was intelligent but she had her TSTL mo

Lexi is off to school and is looking forward to be on her own and no longer living in the shadow of her twin sister who died when she was three days old.
Axel, a very wealthy man and her surrogate big brother decides she needs a bodyguard since she will be testifying in court against a drug cartel. Lexi is not amused and Kevin has his work cut out for him. Lexi goes out of her way not to cooperate. She soon discovers that being accepted into school is different from being accepted at school and i

Book 2 in the Chadwell Hearts series lived up to my expectations from reading book 1. It was a fantastic story! I normally do not like the name Kevin for a hero - I just know a couple of Kevins, and while I love each of them for various reasons, they don't scream "book boyfriend" to me. However, Kevin & Lexi meshed so well together (like oil & water at first, but you know how pretty that looks!). I loved that their life experiences prior to meeting made them the perfect other half for each other ...more

Although I haven't read book one (yet) I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Each book can be read as a standalone however I recommend reading book one first to get a better background of the story. Book 1 is free on Amazon as I write this review.

Lexi is off to college to hopefully find the freedom she has been craving. She hasn't taken into consideration the ex military oh so hot bodyguard, Kevin, who has been assigned to protect her. I'm not gonna give any of the storyline away as you really shoul

3-3.5 Stars!

I was somewhat torn between giving it either 3 or 4 stars, but felt that the "I liked it" rating suited more to my feelings of the novel. I enjoyed reading this story in the series, but not as much as the first one. That being said, let's dive deep into the review.
*Side note: If you just want to know whether or not you should read this book, skip to the 2nd to last paragraph.

4 This book wont squeeze into a category stars!!!

We all, as readers, have a genre of book we are drawn to, for the specific qualities we know to expect in that book. However, either because of or maybe in spite of the things that endear us, an essence of predictability starts to happen. Let me just say, that "No One's Hero" is in no way predictable. It may be classified as New Adult, and has some of that a

Wow, I knew that Kevin was going to be a tortured soul and be a great character, I just didn't know how much I would actually love him until this book! Kevin is every woman's dream! Strong, sexy and very protective. Great instincts and tactical skills make him to perfect protector and his kind, caring and strong need to protect what is his makes him just about the perfect guy!

I have read the other Chadwell Hearts and I have got to say this is the only one I don't like. When I first started reading it I was pulled in and thought it was going to be great but, then as I further read I found myself to be in a world of annoyance. The plot was good and the story was surprising and sexy. I still only gave it two stars because Lexi ruined the whole thing for me. I love Kevin. I think he is awesome and what made me kept reading the story. I just don't get what he saw in Lexi! ...more

This is the second Kelly Walker book I’ve read and she writes such interesting male characters! Good lord, I wish she could personally create me one and then make him real and then I’d marry the fuck out of him.

But not only does she write great dudes, she writes pretty great women. They’re not always considered the strongest women, but they strive for something better. I shouldn’t compare Angel to Lexi because they’re 2 very different people. While Angel was more of a guarded soul, Lexi is less

I fell in love with the characters last year when I discovered No One's Angel. Absolutely love Kelly Walker's writing style and story line for this series.

Now don't fret, Axel and Angel still make an appearance in No One's Hero. The story however, is Lexi and Kevin's. We did meet both characters in No One's Angel, but now we really get to know them.

After the mess with Angel's ex everyone is one edge. The trial is looming in the furture and Axel is fearing for the safety of Lexi. She is off for h

This book is obviously 2nd in a series but was the first from this author for me. This read can be read as a stand alone however I probably would recommend reading the first one. My reasoning is because in the beginning it was a challenge figuring out what was going on between the new storyline with Lexi and how she plays into her friends world and past drama of Axel/Angel. Book 1 is carrying over with its problems/drama which catapults Lexi into meeting Kevin. The characters are so very enjoyab ...more

Lexi is finally getting her chance to get out from her sister's shadow and live a little. Until she goes to say goodbye to Axel and Angel. They seem to think she needs a bodyguard while at college. Lexi doesn't think so. Especially not the hottest guy she's ever seen.

Kevin agrees with Axel about the threat the endangers Tess and Lexi's lives. Now if Lexi would just agree to Axel's agreement. With what he offers,

This is the second book in a series, and while it is said that it can be read as a standalone, I would not recommend it. If you choose to read this, make sure to read the first book No One's Angel. There is a lot of information that is not provided in the second book that related to the first, and when it does allude to it, it's brief and doesn't explain the situation clearly enough without further background.

I thought that the author did a pretty good job with the novel. Was it a book I would

I really enjoyed No One's Angel when I read it last year so I was very intrigued when I saw that there will be an additional book to the series. Axel and Tess's story ended in book 1 so this book focused on their friend Lexi (who was also in the first) and Axel's friend Kevin.

Lexi is headed off to college and because of some dangers that can arise (see No One's Angel), Axel hires his friend Kevin to watch out for her and keep her safe. There is an attraction there when they first meet but they

I loved the first book which was the story of Angel and Axel who meet over playing online gaming.

This book is about Axel's best friend Kevin Morrison, a retired military and also a private bodyguard and also Lexi Feron, the girl who grew up on next door on Axel's family farm.

"Lexi's kiss tastes like sunshine: pure, beautiful, and utterly necessary for survival."

Lexi is all grown up and wanting to go to a 2 year college to major in Equestrian so she can more experience on helping out on the farm.
