Read this book in preparation for a domestic violence panel discussion with the three authors sponsored by the MPC Peacemaking and Justice Committee.
Well-written, the book is an emotional account of the murder of Lynn's young children killed by their father and Nancy's daughter whose murder was arranged by the daughter's husband. The story continues with what happens through the media coverage and during the years after the murders as Lynn and Nancy journey through their pain. Both women emerge from their deep grief to become active in supporting victims and families affected by violent crime.
The gripping account of two mothers whose children were murdered. One mother lost two young children to murder by their own father, who then took his own life. The other mother lost an adult child whose murder was arranged by her husband. The story of the mothers' survival is inspiring, but at times very hard to read. I cannot imagine what it must have been like for them. Our Peacemaking and Justice Committee is reading this as part of their study of domestic violence.
I won this book in a Goodreds giveaway. This really show the grieving of lost ones and what happens to not just the family but everyone involved in murders.
