Sequel (?) to "Eddy and the Habs" but easily stands alone. Jessica and her parents live in an isolated fishing village in Newfoundland. Jessica and her mom are LDS. Her best friend Ian is not.

Jessica's dad is killed while fishing in Ballycater Cove - known for its killer fogs and numerous shipwrecks. Jess is devastated and doesn't accept it at first. She coerces Ian into helping her search for proof of the wreck. They are helped (without their consent) by two missionaries - one is Eddy Shackelford - a promising pro-hocky player.

They find the proof and Jessica becomes more active and ends up in the temple a year later doing baptisms where Eddy sees her just before going home.

Well written and interesting.

It was interesting to read of a different place that has a culture all it's own, right under our noses. It is a nice YA book.

Good for just a quick, simple story.
