This volume suffers a little from middle book syndrome. It is cleaning up the chaos of one volume and setting up for the future at other points. While things are happening they don't have build up nor a full resolution arc. It does have some new things to say about bullying, especially in academic settings. However, the humorous banter is mostly repetition of things that have come before. I can see how some fans have lukewarm reactions.
