Ruchi Chandra Verma, is working in IT industry. She is a painter, an artist, and an avid healthy baker, who’s passion is to write poetry, articles and stories and reads anything fiction, she can get her hands on. She currently lives in Bangalore with her husband and child.
She wrote her first story at the age of 9 years, but never got around to finishing it. The focus those days being on studies and sports much more than story writing. She re-discovered her love for writing during her engineering college days and has been writing ever since. It all started with writing a few couplets, poems, mainly to channelize her thoughts or feelings but soon, became a better way of expression and imagination started seeping in.
Writing took a backseat for a while, as life took over, with a full-time working career, family, and young child to manage, but soon the restlessness brought back the thrill she felt in writing. Once a friend casually told her, that she had a way with words and she never looked back.
In 2019, she started with publishing her poetry on Amazon Kindle and soon moved onto writing short stories and novels.
This is a beautiful story of a fearful, ill-treated girl, Chhavi, who gets married and goes to her in-laws house where we witness her metamorphosis from a timid girl to the confident woman who wows everyone with her talent and resilience.
Rudra is grieving for his lost love when his parents get him forcefully married to honour a promise, hoping she would bring light to his life. Chhavi, having no expectations of anyone, lest it hurts her further, goes into this union with a blank slate, ready to live a life on the sidelines. Warning her to stay away from him, he ignores and neglects her, until one incident changes his life and his outlook towards his wife. From hereon is a heartwarming ride through trust building, forgiveness, intimacy, confidence, self-realization, and a lot more.
I loved the lead couple. Rudra, though an asshole at first, later becomes a total sweetheart who is obsessed with his wife. The way he holds her hand, building her self-worth to teasing and supporting her is so endearing. Chhavi blooms under his family's care, learning how to love and trust someone. The way they come closer is sheer slow burn, their proximity invoking ooh and aah moments which will definitely make you smile.
A special mention to Rudra's darling parents who bind these two together, and his mom, who understands n supports Chhavi more than a mother would. The vibe and the equation between him and his parents was amazing to read. We need such parents with whom we can share every thought and feeling openly and get teased in return. A love story that will surely make you shed a tear n swoon, this is a must read.
A kind of story that would fill your heart with warmth. It drives you through a journey that could make you laugh, cry and blush. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Rudra and chavvi carve a place in hearts effortlessly. What I admired the most is the way he made her realise her worth, corrected his mistakes and moved on from his past to start afresh with her. He healed her with utmost care. The way she held him, cherished him and made him feel loved is heartwarming. The pain they went through stands a forgotten chapter when they find their home in each other. I loved their tale!
A perfect partner is the greatest example of a support system. The love and care your partner offers makes you shine in a world full of haters and troublemakers.
Rudra never wanted to get married after the heartbreaking incident he experienced in his college days. But his parents made him marry Chhavi who is just a 12th pass for a CEO. She is coming with her baggage of fear, torture, mistrust, anxiety, and whatnot. She is a caged bird of Khanna's house who is coming out to the world with her weak demeanor. It's an arranged marriage but the way they bonded after a few incidents is commendable. Rudra is a person everyone needs in their life. He is full of positivity, his aura defines his self-being, a great example of a perfect husband and a businessman who can trick the world in no seconds. This story is an example of love after marriage if the utmost care and love have the face then this book is the answer.
It was a light breezy read & Ruchi has weaved it beautifully with strings of happy & sad moments, evil twists, romantic turns explaining the fact that life is unpredictable and God always reserves the veto power to fill your life with the unexpected happy moments in life. Overall a good plot & strong narration. Loved it throughly. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The author expertly crafts a narrative that not only highlights the characters' individual pain and trauma but also explores the possibility of finding solace and redemption in unexpected places. The raw emotions, heart-wrenching moments, and the slow-burning chemistry between Rudra and Chhavi are skillfully woven together, keeping readers captivated until the last page.
Oh ! This is such a heart warming tale of Chavi and Rudra. Its the journey of an innocent, scared , malniurished girl to an artist and later a business women is a ride through emotions.
Transformation of Chavi from " I hope to I LOVE " is a beautifully crafted story y RUCHI. Its so excellently penned that we'll experienc every feeling /emotion right here in our heart, which the characters in the story feel.
Brilliant. 5 star rating for the plot , 5 stars for the brain of the author.
Ruchi's books are cozy snugglers on winter days. "Finding My Home" is yet another easy yet entertaining piece of art she delivered.
I truly enjoyed the book to the fullest. The sweetness and simplicity blended perfectly with Chhavi's character. Rudra, again a hero loaded with charm and steam laced with his character.
This book has all the masala I usually look for in the book. It made me feel fuzzy and warm and fed my appetite with my kind of fun. Ruchi also expertly narrated some really hot scenes in the second half of the book which left me flustered. 🤭
Now I can say, she does steam as naturally as she does cute soft romantics. Tremendous job Ruch. An easy five star book that every romance fanatic should read.
Mixed feelings. The story had potential, and I did notice some character development — especially in how the leads began to grow and understand each other. But unfortunately, the writing style really pulled me out of the experience. It felt too casual and unpolished, almost like Wattpad fanfiction. The emotional moments lacked depth, and the dialogues didn’t feel natural. I appreciate the author’s effort and message, but the storytelling just wasn’t strong enough for me to finish it. I ended up dropping the book halfway through. Not for readers who prefer mature, polished writing.
Awesome story❤️Chavvi brought tears in my eyes at times.🩷Rudra is amazing 😻 I love the way Rudra gradually discovers her fear and overcome them.💕truly heart warming ❣️Ruchi big time fan 💗keep writing stories for us to read and relate 💖
Rudra and Chhavi had an arranged marriage. Rudra didn't want it, and Chhavi didn't have high expectations due to their difficult pasts. He is a ruthless billionaire while she is skittish. Would they understand each other's pain? Could they make their marriage work? You must read to find out.
This is my favorite book by Ruchi. It's beautifully written. I couldn't stop reading it when I initially planned to read only two chapters.
Rudra is my Book Husband. He's very charming. What he does for Chhavi is truly amazing. My heart was hurting for Chhavi, she went through so much. They understand each other's pain and find a home in each other. I also loved the strong family bond and can't forget Cosmo and Comet.
If you love the arranged marriage trope, then grab this one fast with both hands.
