Fire on the Mountain
Moonshine is a way of life for Rose Bloom and nothing is going to change that—not even handcuffs.
When a fire is reported on the west side of Rich Mountain, Rose is thrown into a heated battle to save her still.
Johnny Gayheart, her lover and local fireman, races to her side to insure her safety but in his haste to get to her, Sheriff Bobby Shepherd nabs him for speeding. When the Sheriff hears why Johnny is in such a rush, he follows Johnny to Rose’s secluded cabin on the mountain.
Rose has always been a little wild and hard to control but when the Sheriff slaps the handcuffs on her, finding her with a few pints of ‘shine, the feel of the cold metal around her wrists incites a new sort of need inside her.
As the fire is controlled on the other side of the mountain, a new flaming desire begins in Rose’s cabin. Handcuffed and under their control, Bobby and Johnny do their best to extinguish Rose’s fire that burns deep inside.
The three explore the heated passion consuming them until an explosion rocks them all.
The still has blown up, the firemen are on their way, and Rose watches as her livelihood is destroyed. When Sheriff Bobby Shepherd give her one last look and leaves after the remains of her burning moonshine still is put out, Rose has another worry.
Will the Sheriff return to arrest her? Will Johnny continue to love her after what has transpired? Or will the three of them come together again in a flaming fire of passion on the mountain?

My characters come to life on the page while I'm typing and sometimes it surprises me how really life-like they are.
On a normal writing day, I sit at my computer with an old black and white TV show playing on my twelve-inch TV that sits on my desk. My dogs, Lucy and Wilder, share the office with me. Lucy has her own chair beside me and Wilder sometimes joins her in it. Add a cup of black coffee to the picture and I'm a happy camper.
