This books marketing is a bit deceiving. I would not call it a "crash course" The books presumes a level of basic electronics and battery knowledge that could easily frustrate a true beginner. If this were a course the syllabus would seem to have been shuffled and sprinkled with repetition. One final warning: the author has a connection to the Cadex company which sells battery accessories so there is some sneaky advertising here, but it really wasn't aggressive and was mostly relegated to one small portion of the book. All that said I would definitely say I stepped away from reading the book with a much better knowledge of batteries. There doesn't seem to be too many options here so if you do pick this one up just be prepared to google terms and ideas you may not be familiar with and brace yourself for some disjointedness and repetition.

An encyclopedia of information about battery and related technologies. Being a technical book, it's a bit difficult to read. However, if you need knowledge about batteries you need to persist with your reading. Lot of information in the book but may not be organised in the best logical flow.
Overall, a good book with lot of information but a difficult read.

This has to be the driest technical book I have ever read!!!! The book contains good information and I know it is a technical manual, but my goodness!!!! Perhaps I am not the right audience for this book as it has technical terms I wasn't even aware of.
