A deal with a cold billionaire. A desperate college coed who has run out of options.
Ruthless Lethal Handsome as sin The devil has always been wrapped in a tempting package.
And that’s Mason Kincaid. King of Vegas and of sinners. He owns half this town and runs the other half with an iron fist.
He’s pretty much everything I’ve learned to avoid. I dated his brother a few years back when I thought a bad boy would be fun. It did not take long for me to learn the Kincaids are not fun. They are the snakes in the garden…
Now, I’m on the straight and narrow. Work. Class. Repeat. Head down… no bad boys in sight. I’m just trying to get my degree so I can escape Vegas and the Kincaids.
Until one night when I take a short cut home after a late shift. Now, I’m a witness to a crime with a price on my head.
There is only man I can turn to for protection and that’s Mason Kincaid. King of Vegas…
I was going back and forth on ratings but I think it’s a good solid 4 stars!
So usually I NEVER read books where one of the MCs dates the other’s brother or sister. But this was different. Our FMC Charlotte went on three dates with Mason’s brother, Leo. They never had sex so I felt it was safe for me to read it.
Charlotte meets Mason on her second date with Leo and the minute she see him she’s no longer interested in Leo. She uses the third date to try and break it off with him but things happen and she’s not able to.
Mason and Leo are a part of a “gangster” family. Their words, not mine. I had no idea what category they fall under because they never said they were mafia. They call the other families, the Russians and the Italians so I was super confused as to what Mason and his family were supposed to be. They are just the Kincaids I guess.
Anyway some things go down the night of their last date in the club that the Kincaids own and Charlotte doesn’t see or speak to Leo again after that night. But Mason has been watching over her for two years because Mason has also wanted Charlotte from the moment he met her. In the present Charlotte sees something she isn’t supposed to see and she is taken to Mason for protection. I got a little confused here because his thoughts about getting rid of her and protecting her were very conflicting. One minute he felt like she was his and the next he wanted her to go away. Idk super wishy washy. She has to stay with him at his home and this makes Leo very angry. Not because he still wants Charlotte but because his brother got one up on him once again. In fact he didn’t even really want Charlotte. Apparently his thing is to go on three dates, the second being to meet the family and then after he sleeps with them he doesn’t talk to them again. Which is what he was planning on doing with Charlotte.
I was confused as to why she needed to change her appearance and act like masons girlfriend in order to keep her safe. I mean she could have stayed the same and still acted like masons girlfriend so he could say she was under his protection. I don’t get why she needed to change the way she looked, made no sense to me.
I did end up liking Mason. He cared deeply for Charlotte and eventually put her before his family. He was so sweet and protective over her. I liked her as well. She annoyed me at times, especially when she threw herself at him at one point. I mean it paid off but her thought process was sometimes eye roll inducing. But she grew on me.
One thing I appreciated was we never heard about masons sexual past. He never thought about it or brought it up and neither did any of his family so I don’t get manwhore vibes at all. But I would have really liked to know how old he was?!
So Leo was the villain in this book in my opinion. He was such an asshole and caused a lot of harm so I’m nervous that his book is next. I wish we would have had Roman’s book first because I really liked him and also because I feel like Leo needs a little redemption before he’s given his own book. He was truly awful in this one. I’m hoping he’s redeemed really well in the next one. I have a feeling I won’t like him for the first half of the book but I do plan on reading it.
NO CHEATING NO OW DRAMA OM DRAMA (because Leo is out of his mind) NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP VIOLENCE HEA IM THINKING AGE GAP BECAUSE SHES 22 HES THE OLDEST BROTHER AT LEAST IN HIS THIRTIES BUT ITS NOT MENTIONED
I’m so glad Tammy has turned her hand to this genre, Dark romance is a great favourite of mine, and she has done a wonderful job with this first story. Charlotte and Mason are dynamite, the sparks flying from these two are so hot, my kindle was steaming. Fantastic characters and a brilliant story. I can’t wait for more from the Lords of Las Vegas. Don’t miss this epic first book .
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
I was not a fan of this book. For me, the way the story started out and then progressed in the first quarter of the book left me a little confused. It eventually made sense but I think the writing style/story progress decisions didn't lend to the story running smoothly. More so, if Mason was such a big bad player, the King as the title says, the way he dealt with Charlotte's predicament didn't make sense to me. Over all the story did not flow well and had a lot of back and forth with the same issues. The chemistry between them was amazing but fizzled for a bit before coming back strong. What absolutely ruined the book for me was the entire Leo track. He feels like he's been wronged by his brother taking his ex so he attacks her, dislocates her shoulder in the process, but after one conversation all is basically forgiven. I wanted to throw my tablet at the wall at that point. The part of the book I did enjoy was the rest of the brothers and their own bonds that grew with Charlotte. How they grew to respect her and point out to Mason that she's the queen their empire needs.
This is a fast-paced book—first one in Lords of Las Vegas. If you’ve read stories with mafia themes before, you haven’t read anything like this. Conflict and discord are a main issue within the family here.
Mason Kincaid keeps his attraction to Charlotte under wraps for a few years until she’s in danger. He goes into full-on protection mode as they both navigate their issues and feelings. Family and business concerns serve as the action and climax. My favorite part of the plot was how Charlotte used her photographs to show her feelings. Her taking photos of Mason’s hands seemed to be a microcosm of his strength and power.
Loved this book and can’t wait for the next!
received a free copy of the book in advance and am leaving this review voluntarily.
4⭐ for what it is. I needed the relationship to be fleshed out a bit more, they went 0-100 pretty quick. I didn't love the pet names and the editing needed a little work, but I can ignore those things. Mason is one of those characters that could never be real because how are you hot and wealthy and anticipating her needs all the time?? I loved getting his POV occasionally.
King of Sinners(Lord's of Las Vegas #1) by Tammy Andersen. I am so glad I decided to read this book. Tammy is a new author to me, and this was my first time hearing about her no less reading her book. The premise for the story is what attracted me to want to read this book. Charlotte had initially been dating Leo, who is the younger brother of Mason Kincaid. The Kincaid family is a very powerful family in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, on a date out with Leo, something happened that scared Charlotte away from the family. After some time, when leaving work, she comes across an execution, and now she finds herself at the mercy of Mason Kincaid. She needs his protection. He will give it to her but it will cost her. The only thing she has is her virginity. Initially, he can't believe she is a virgin regardless. That fact doesn't change the fact that he has had an attraction to Charlotte ever since Leo had brought her to a family dinner years ago. This is their story. Charlotte has felt the same attraction since that dinner. Now Leo feels some kind of way with the plan Mason has come up with to keep her safe. I couldn't get enough of this story. I truly enjoyed it and am extremely excited that there will be other books in the series surrounding the Kincaid family. 4.5 stars for me.
Mason is obsessed with Charlotte but doesn’t act on it for two years. He just has her followed the entire time before she’s kidnapped and forced to stay with him.
It’s a classic mafia romance with power struggle and Mason falls first, hard, clearly as he’s been obsessing over her.
Charlotte had instant attraction to Mason.
There’s some drama but nothing over the top, light weight drama for a mafia read.
Overall I thought the story was well written and enjoyable.

👑King of sinners, Tammy Andresen 228 pagini (Lords of Las Vegas, #1)
👑Posibile spoilere!
I was not prepared for this book to eat me alive the way it did.
This was my first Tammy Andresen read and holy toxic Vegas billionaire vibes, it did not disappoint. I picked up King of Sinners expecting a casual dip into mafia romance, and instead I blacked out, woke up at 1AM emotionally wrecked and in love with Mason freakin’ Kincaid.
First off, the writing? Clean, snappy, and addictive. Tammy doesn’t waste time—she just throws you straight into the glitzy chaos of Vegas, mafia wars, and forbidden love, and you’re just there like, “okay bet.” No filler, just fire.
Now let’s talk Mason. Sir. Your emotional damage is showing, and I’d like to inspect it further. He’s that man. The overprotective, dangerously powerful alpha who sees one woman and decides yep, that’s mine. And somehow it doesn’t come off as cringe? He’s possessive in a way that feels like he’d burn the world down for Charlotte and smile doing it. Am I okay? No. Do I want a Mason? Also no. But like… yes???
Charlotte isn’t just a side piece either she’s smart, stubborn, and doesn’t let Mason bulldoze her (even if she secretly loves it). Their dynamic is this chaotic blend of tension, banter, soft moments, and “holy hell are they actually doing that right now” energy. It’s giving ride or die with a splash of “we might kill someone together and then make out about it.”
The mafia world-building? Surprisingly detailed. It’s not just vibes, there’s legit structure, danger, politics. Plus the whole side character lineup has me invested. Leo, you emotionally constipated king, I see your arc coming and I am READY.
Also, the Colorado scenes??? Chef’s kiss. Somehow the switch from neon lights to mountain air made their relationship realer like there’s life beyond the chaos. I love when authors give their characters space to breathe and feel and not just chase danger 24/7.
Final verdict: If you’re into morally gray men who love way too hard, strong heroines who don’t back down, and a plot that makes you forget real life exists… King of Sinners is your next obsession. 5 stars. No skips.
Charlotte Fairfield has a couple of dates with Leo Kincaid but when she meets his older brother Mason she has eyes for no one else but an incident at a club breaks all connections with them. Now two years later walking home from her part time waitressing job she witnesses a crime & flees only to saved by Roman Kincaid who takes her to Mason. The course of their two lives is irrevocably changed. This is the first contemporary romance the author has written & boy was it good! Fast paced, wonderful characters, electric chemistry, steamy & yet tender. I loved it & can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I loved both Mason & Charlotte, they fall hard & fast for each other, he’s SO protective & caring, she’s not sure whether to stay or as is her wont to run. I loved their journey to a HEA & devoured this lovely romance in a sitting I voluntarily read and reviewed a advanced copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own
I really enjoyed this first book in the new series by Tammy Andresen. I am a huge fan of her historical romance genre, and I wasn’t certain about a contemporary setting. However, as is typical, Ms. Andresen far exceeded my expectations with this book! I loved the details and characters who seemed so true to life. I can see many subsequent stories which need to be told. And I love Mason and Charlotte, setting the bar for all those after them! I’m so excited to read the next one in the series!!
I received a free copy of this book from the author. The thoughts and opinions are my own.
I didn't think I would like this type of book, but because it was by Ms Andresen, I gave it a try. This is completely different from the genres that I usually read, especially from MS Andresen. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Am eager to read the next one in the series.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the plot, the story, and the characters. My only reason for the 4 star and not 5 is because the word used to describe a vagina gave me the ick. Never have I heard it described as a mound or a s*x 🤢🤮 other than that. I really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series
The Lords of Las Vegas is different than other stories I have read by Tammy Andresen but I am looking forward to reading more in this series. Mason Kincaid considered the King of Vegas meets Charlotte Fairfield, a student at UNLV by day and bartender by night. There story is engaging it has a very good storyline that kept me turning pages. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I ate this book up !! I absolutely devoured it !! I always enjoy Tammy Andresens writing and books ! They always keep me hooked from page one !! I am definitely reading the next book in this Lords of Las Vegas series !!
The grammatical errors almost made me quit reading. Every time they happened it took me out of the story.
I don't care for the instant love that happened between the characters. They met twice and barely even talked a couple of years ago, yet Mason couldn't get her out of his head. That didn't make sense for me.
Charlotte was a weird character I think. What woman would take a shortcut through alleys late at night in Las Vegas? She's lucky all that happened was witnessing a murder. I didn't understand all the talk about Charlotte's senses and how everything has to be a certain way for her, I felt like she was neurodivergent or something. And the whole thing about men being weak being the reason she was a virgin was nonsense.
I'm not big into submissive female characters so Charlotte was very cringey to me. When she got on her knees and told Mason she was ready for her punishment made me want to throw up. Every time she said Mason knew best and didn't question anything was annoying.

For a book that has a description that makes the forfeiture of a virginity, that is very much NOT the focus. The relationship was nice but as dark romance/mafia goes, it wasn’t my favorite. It was a nice, average, easy read.
✨✨✨✨✨✨ This one was seriously such an amazing read! I loved it so much and I did not want to have to put it down! This book captures you and pulls you in from page one. I’m so invested in this series now and already ready for the next book!
Mason Kincaid is truly a king! What a top tier book boyfriend with a mouth that will have you melting for him. He had me falling hard for him. The way Mason was so protective over Charlotte and just cared for her safety could have been borderline too much for some but for me it was perfect! Charlotte is just always finding herself in the wrong place and needing some saving but this time it’s for the last time. In the end I really feel Mason and Charlotte healed each other and were everything the other needed.
📚📚📚 If you like to read: ~ Mafia ~ Possessive MMC ~ Protective MMC ~ Virgin FMC ~ Many nicknames ~ Billionaire … You should definitely check this out
📚📚📚
Thank you so much for sending me a copy for an honest review in my own words.
The beginning felt a little odd. It’s not the first time I’ve read about an ex who ends up staying in the family 😂 though usually it’s with the boyfriend’s father.
Charlotte (22) Mason (?) They mention he’s got some gray at his temples, so I’d place him somewhere between 35 and 40.
The chemistry was good, though there’s no real 🌶️ moment until about 73% into the book. There are small things here and there before that, which doesn’t bother me, but it is unusual for this kind of story. I’m not sure if I’d label it as dark romance, but it definitely has some shades of it.
Charlotte is likeable and acts according to her circumstances. Still, she has a best friend and barely thinks of her—she doesn’t even call her until the very end of the book. There’s even a scene where her phone rings insistently at night, and she says it’s Kim (the best friend) but decides to answer the next day. If I thought for a second that my best friend was calling me in the middle of the night, I’d run to help her. In the end it wasn’t Kim, but it still made me think what a bad friend Charlotte is. Honestly, this is a recurring issue in books: authors don’t know how to build healthy, supportive female friendships. Later, Kim mentions that Charlotte is wearing designer pajamas while she’s stuck with a torn T-shirt. Maybe it’s just me, but even if I didn’t have money, I’d still give little gifts to my best friend. And if I had millions, I’d even buy her a house 😂 (and I know she’d do the same for me).
Another problem is Leo, Mason’s brother. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by this author, so I already met him in King of Depravity, where he’s portrayed as a defender of abused women and runs a successful club. But here? He hits Charlotte and dislocates her shoulder, and nobody really acknowledges how serious that is. I didn’t even see an apology—just “forgive and forget.” That didn’t sit right with me. I’ve never read about a secondary character—soon to be a main one—being portrayed as an abuser, because that’s what he is. Honestly, I’ll only read the next book for Kim. I don’t know how Leo’s supposed to redeem himself after that, but I think it was a terrible choice to write it this way. Sure, he has issues with his father and brothers, but that crossed every line.
Roman—I love him. I hope he gets his own book, he’s my favorite so far. Luke and Jake don’t really show up, they’re just kind of there, so I don’t know what to think of them, though at least they respect Charlotte. Jackson is the best—I picture him as Liam Neeson in his prime 😂
And that’s pretty much it for characters. That part felt a little lacking—no extra drama with other women at least—but the world itself felt small, just the building and the office as the main setting. I don’t mean it needed to be an epic fantasy with cities and quests, but I would’ve liked at least one date. I know it wasn’t possible for them, but come on, it’s Mason—he has the means to make it happen.
It wasn’t bad enough to put me off the author forever, but it did leave me a little disappointed.
WOW! I was totally blown away by this mafia contemporary romance story by Tammy Andresen. I love this author’s historical romances and normally do not read billionaire or contemporary romances but this one is having me reconsider and broadening my book selections.
This was a dark romance set in Las Vegas. Mason Kincaid, is the head of his family, (Leo, Roman, Luke and Jake) and together they have their eyes and ears on the important players and everything going on in Vegas.
Enter quiet, Charlotte Fairfield, working as a bartender after finishing her studies at UNLV. She went on a few dates with Leo Kincaid, but when she met his brother Morgan, she was instantly attracted and felt a sexual attraction, which was unusual as she was still a virgin. Before she gets a chance to break up with Leo trouble breaks out in the club. Mason tells Charlotte to keep her eyes closed and her mouth shut. She steps away from the Kincaid family knowing to keep her mouth shut and doesn’t look back.
Two years after this encounter, she is walking home from work and observes someone being killed. She is rescued by Roman who takes her to Mason who gives her his protection. Unaware that Mason has been having her followed and that he has an attraction to her that he is unable to shake.
I loved Charlotte and Mason together. He was danger, power, sexiness, and trouble all wrapped up into a flawed man but had a softer side too. I adored his sweetness and caring nature towards Charlotte. Charlotte was innocent both in life experiences and sexually, neat, smart, and also flawed but she makes Mason a better man.
The romance that develops between Charlotte and Mason is hot, steamy, spicy, and sizzling but more importantly was the feelings they have for each other. Mason is struggling with running his businesses, dealing with his quick-tempered brother Leo, and the danger they are facing from their adversaries, while keeping Charlotte safe. He finally faces that she is worth more to him than his power and money.
I highly recommend this action paced story, with family drama, sizzling chemistry, passion, wonderful characters and an unexpected sweet romance. I can’t wait for the rest of the Kincaid brother stories!
I received an ARC (advanced review copy) for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
It was okay. There’s too much missing from it for me. Their sister isn’t even mentioned in the whole book till the end, and only in passing. I want to know about the family, not just them.
This is the second book of the authors that I’ve read and I still don’t know anything about the family. Apart from Leo who Charlotte briefly dates. The author focuses on one couple and hardly anyone else is mentioned. Mason has got a younger sister Arabella and NO ONE speaks about her, NO ONE talks to her on the phone. It’s weird! It’s like everyone else just fades into background and it’s really annoying. The author writes about the family like they’re gangsters but they’re not. I’m not really sure what they are, or what they do for a living. Nothing is explained. Apart from endless examinations about their feelings.
The book starts with Charlotte dating Leo Mason’s brother. Charlotte is going to finish with Leo as she’s not interested then she meets his eldest brother Mason and she’s instantly attracted to him. I don’t understand how as Mason is cold and clinical at first. Even when they’re together he’s cold with Charlotte at first. Two years pass and Charlotte is somehow still a virgin, really? Does she never date? When she witnesses a man being murdered Mason agrees to keep her safe, for her virginity. I didn’t like that deal. Straight away Charlotte and Mason start to have feelings for each other, but Mason and his family have this weird idea that they shouldn’t ever have a woman in their lives. As their dad was killed because of a woman. So Mason starts being really cold with Charlotte again.
There’s no danger or threat to Charlotte. She witnessed a murder but nothing ever happens about it. The murderers never demand that she’s turned over to them and they would have done! It’s pretty obvious that Charlotte is the witness. Mason didn’t have a girlfriend and isn’t one to ever have one, then all of a sudden he’s supposedly dating and in a serious relationship with Charlotte. 😂😂😂
I did enjoy parts of it but the author really needs to flesh everyone out. I want to know about his family, and her friend. It spoils it that it’s only about them.
Charlotte needed to blow off steam after her long night waitressing. Since she had turned down her professor's suggestion on how to guarantee she passes her photography course he has been giving her an F on all her assignments and she is determined that her last assignment be accepted.
So despite not living in the best area she takes off on foot winding through the back alleys of Vegas. She is taking her final turn when she hears a sound that has her head jerking up. Two men holding another on his knees and then the sound of a gunshot. Hearing her gasp they take off after her.
As she feels them gaining on her a car stops in front of her and a man exits the driver's door with a gun commanding her to stop. Except he is looking over her shoulder at her pursuers and tells her to get in the car. When he dials and number and mentions her name, she looks at him in shock and then realizes that he is the younger brother of Mason Kincaid.
The man who had threatened her life two years ago if she mentioned who they were.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Two years ago Charlotte had been on her third date trying to find a way to let Leo know that she was not interested in seeing him again. Things were moving too fast with their second date being a family dinner, but as soon as she saw his older brother she knew that Leo was not what she wanted.
That was the night that her life changed forever. When she found out how dangerous the Kincaid family was.
This book is action-packed from page one, full of danger and steamy hot. Charlotte is in her last semester of college and can't wait to leave Vegas behind. Mason is the head of his family. Their real estate empire is legit but they straddle the line legally. But his family owns Vegas and no one threatens him or the ones he loves. Even his own family.
King of Sinners Lords of Las Vegas #1 By Tammy Andresen
Author Tammy Andresen has completely changed lanes and has given readers a contemporary romance that takes place in Las Vegas. The home of the mafia, high end hotels, bright lights and nights where those that like darkness come out to play nightly.
With dark romance, the mafia, the bratva, as well as a knew group moving into the Kings territory, Author Tammy Andresen’s new series has been added to my list of mafia writers.
The Kincaid men run Vegas, they work as a family and have their eyes on everyone. Mason Kincaid is considered the King of Vegas and along with his family (Roman, Leo, Luke and Jake) they know their enemies and they know who to keep their eyes on.
Charlotte Fairfield, a student at UNLV by day and bartender by night. Charlotte is very aware of the Kincaid’s, a few years ago she was dating Leo Kincaid but, she broke up with him on the third date. That was the night Charlotte met Mason. She knew Mason was the type of man she wanted…but was sure that was never going to happen. What she didn’t know was after she walked away Mason had her followed. Two years go by and then it happens again, someone was there at the right time…whisked her away from an incident right into Mason Kincaid’s home.
The flames that have been ignored are now starting the burn and smolder while the nights get hotter and spicy between Mason and Charlotte. It’s time that Mason sets some ground rules for Charlotte. He’s obsessed with her and he is determined to keep her safe…but at what cost?
I truly enjoyed reading King of Sinners! The author did an amazing job moving into this darker mafia, contemporary romance genre and I can’t wait to read book two.
Mason and Charlotte’s story is one of my favorite “tropes”! The pining for YEARS, the “touch her and die” vibes and first times!
Charlotte meets Mason through his brother Leo, and it is instant attraction! The only problem is that Charlotte doesn’t know how to end things with Leo. One night, while at a club, Charlotte finally strikes up the courage to and think with Leo, but it is cut short when there is a shooting. Mason steps in to save Charlotte, threatens her to stay away from them in order to protect her from evidence, and they both pine away for each other for two years. Charlotte finds herself back with Mason because her safety is jeopardized, and little does she know that Mason has had eyes on her for the past two years protecting her. Mason is obsessed with Charlotte! He’s having a hard time though because he has promised his family that a woman will never get in the way of them because his father was murdered over a woman. For Charlotte’s protection, she has to move in with Mason, and things take off! I loved the growth of both characters. Charlotte starts out timid, but then grows into a woman.
Their were a few things that I was a little frustrated with, one being that Mason kept denying his feelings, and he clearly didn’t feel the way he was talking about. I was disappointed in the ending of this book… I just felt like they deserved a better setting for their confessions. It will make sense when you read the book.
The spice is fantastic! There is a slow buildup, but we get to the thick of the spice about 50% of the way through. And it is so good!
