I have never highlighted and bookmarked a book so much
This book is revolutionary! The examples, the insights. It's the key that leads to how to walk out the Christian life in all aspects, not just healing. It has given me a brand new perspective and lease on life and I'll always be thankful to Chad and to the two online Christian groups, Reign Life and Fully Healed who told me about this book. God bless Him and if you are reading this review, please buy this book. You will not regret it.
An excellent read on sickness and sin in the body. I am only giving it 4 stars where I do find the author a bit repetitive in his writing, but definitely worth a read.
There were plenty of times I aligned with the teaching in this book, but there were also times I did not align. I’m open to being wrong, and I can certainly benefit from the stretching of faith. But I was cautious while reading because it didn’t always feel right.
Some of his interpretations of scripture stretch the imagination for sure. For example, he teaches that it is demonic to believe that typical signs of aging should be accepted. Like memory not being as sharp or being physically weaker or slower than when we were young. He believes we should be in perfect strength and walk into death the same way Moses did— by simply breathing our last breath and walking into heaven seamlessly without any physical decline.
Another example is his interpretation on why bad things happened to Job, which he says is Job’s own fault because one line in Psalms mentions that Job’s fears came true, so it was his fears that caused havoc in his life.
He denounces “awareness months” as demonic. Breast cancer awareness, Parkinson’s month, Heart disease month, etc. No one wants or celebrates diseases, but he’s definitely not in favor of funding research for cures. He has a pretty strong resistance to doctors.
He also describes a time he was at the airport in the height of Covid, and he saw people with hazmat suits as well as a mother who freaked out when her child touched a doorknob so she lathered the kid in antibacterial gel. His comments about their state of fear were quite condemning and lacked compassion. He mentions he tried to take videos on his phone but he was laughing too hysterically. I get that fear is destructive, but I was pretty turned off by his description of these events.
Again, the main principle is good. We are redeemed by Christ and carry the authority of Christ. This was reaffirmed throughout the book. I just didn’t jive with some viewpoints and communication style.

I agree with this book. I feel like I have to read it a few times. A lot of the things he said are things I have heard before, but I need to keep hearing. There are two things that I want to comment on:
1. 1 Peter 5:6-9 - Chad explains that Satan goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He cannot trespass without your permission and do whatever he wants. He points out that if he could do whatever, then why wouldn’t he simply kill the believer instead? This really spoke to me.
And, who are the ones that Satan can devour? The ones who have cares. This is why believers are told to resist….cares. Cares in Greek is merinma, which means “anxieties or fears” (Strong’s #G3308). When we care and don’t let God care, that is the moment that believers kick God off the throne of our lives. Chad says if we don’t “kill” our cares, our cares will kill us.
2. 1 Peter 2:24 - Chad says most believers who quote this verse only quote the last part: “by whose stripes you were healed”. To take that phrase out of context is to remove the meaning. The verse is not about healing but about identity. Jesus bore our sins and we died to sin, making us righteous. This is also said in 2 Cor 5:21.
Because we are dead to sin and now righteous, look at what this has done for us: righteousness produces healing. But God’s version of healing is healing believers from the source of disease. “By His stripes” means Jesus died to sin, which was the source of sickness. We are now dead to sin and are righteous, which makes us completely removed from sin and sickness. Healing is not a possession, it is our condition. Healing is who a believer is, not what we are trying to get.
There’s much more, including why believers are sick: i) we think it’s possible to be sick ii) we don’t control our imaginations iii) we don’t take care of the body God gave us
I will read this again and take notes.
I think it’s worthwhile for believers to read this book. I recommend it!
"When you died to sin-That is when God healed you." Chad helps us to rethink what it is to be well and sick. Destroying the lies, fear and tricks of Satan, this book helps you to walk in the authority of who you are under God's protection. Through an inspirational and biblically explained look at how ailments still attack us, we can take away the hope that we can rid ourselves of them through pursuing righteousness and God's will for us. No matter where you are in your health journey, or your faith in medicine and worldly "healers", you can learn from this book and begin to walk in faith as part of the perfect body of Christ!
I've been reading and listening to Chad's messages almost nonstop for the past few weeks. He's incredibly bold, but he also backs everything up scripturally, and helps me to see verses I've read many times and just skipped right over before in a whole new light. I'm now journaling through Ephesians and Colossians with new eyes...
Best book I ever read to open my eyes on the truth of God’s Word. Now I’m so excited to practice my imagination and thoughts towards having a real relationship with Christ and conforming my pattern to the heavenly realm rather than on Earthly. Praise God. Amen.
Definitely worth the read! Chad explains scriptures that really helped me. The books focuses on healing, our thoughts and our imaginations. It also answers a lot of our questions regarding healing and the scriptures.
I love how Dr. Gonzales shows how scripture is so everyday, practical. Wow! We serve a great God! He really is our good Shepherd, leading us and providing for us.
