A couple of hours this took me to read! I couldn’t put it down!

This is such a different kind of book to what Lesley normally writes, but boy, she did it well!

I loved the plot!!
I loved Frankie, Sam and Mila!
I just loved everything!

The plot itself kept me gripped. I was constantly shouting to myself

‘noooo way did THAT just happen!’
‘WHAT?!’
WHATS GOING ON?!

So if you love a good plot , and shocking moments, this book definitely has it!

I wish there was more …. 😫

Definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

While I was reading this story, I went through many different emotions. If Carnage is where you are gaging from (as I was), it is a very different type of story from this author. And I love this type of story generally. At first, I found most of the characters very unlikable and really had the toughest time getting into the story because of that (despite the heat level). Some characters eventually redeemed themselves, and others did not. I found that I loved Frankie and Sam, but Mila, in my opinion, was tough to swallow through most of the story. A few nice twists helped the story gain my interest. If you are looking for a great one-handed read, this will do it for you. 3.5 stars but rounded up because I loved the ending.

Oops

This is Lesley Jones foray into MMF and I loved the concept but unfortunately the execution is just not there. From a one night stand with two men to a week later all being in love? Nah that was too unbelievable. Throw in a few plot holes and some storylines not quite matching up made this feel too rushed and unrealistic.

And the constant playlists and artists literally did my head in. I've never read a story where so many songs were mentioned.

Check your triggers as cheating may be a trigger but it wasn't for me. Domestic violence is also present.

Yeah nah unfortunately not a great read.

A change for Mila

What a way to make a statement and create something new and different from her sensational Carnage series.

This book is everything! These characters are so strong and vibrant they literally transform on the page.

The connection that Frankie and Sam has is so special and amazing, and then you add Mila to that mix, well that is just next level. Mila is such a strong character, written with great depth and courage and determination that makes her a kick ass FMC.

This novel is raw, emotional, confronting and exciting, with this author not afraid to tackle some compelling situations and ideologies.

I really loved this standalone novel by Lesley. Kudos to you.

10/5 stars! WOW! Lesley has done it again! Her books are captivating, her characters charismatic and relatable, and her stories flow in a way that keeps you up until 1am to finish!
I have never been disappointed by her books- starting with Carnage up until now with Repulse. I will ALWAYS pick up a book if her name is attached to it.

It sucks you in and gives you an emotional ride. The plot, the characters and the heat are all things that you're sure to love. Though I am partial to Mila it doesn't take away from the story. This is the kind of story you just need to dive into.

I LOVE being back in Lesley's worlds!! Whilst this is not her normal write, she absolutely smashed it with this one! (When hubby reaps the reward ya know it's a good read 🤪).
Take what you think this book is about... And explode it. It is soo much more once you start reading!!
You'll fall in love with the characters, relate to them in so many ways & want to throttle them too with the brilliant plot twists, hand over mouth gasps in disbelief and 'awww' moments.
Dive right into this one - you won't be disappointed!!

I wanted to like it

I love Lesley jones book… usually but this one was like a draft of several ideas, no believable story line because the repetitive sex scenes, probably to make the book longer. There was no character building, it was all over the place and rushed. It seems like she just threw ideas together to get a book out. So sad because I loved her first few books.

I always like it when an author steps a bit out of their usual to give us their unique take on a new-to-them genre. With Repulse, Lesley Jones doesn't hold back as she steps into the world of polyamory and one woman's desire to have more both in and out of the bedroom. What Mila Chase, however, doesn't count on in her quest to have two men service her is falling hard and fast for both Frankie Walsh and his business partner, Sam Olsson and both of them falling for her, too.

And I'm here to say what follows was nothing I could have ever expected. Jones adds much more to the very reason for Mila's request of her dastardly husband's cousin to be fully satiated and treated like a goddess for one weekend. We find out little by little just how ruthless the Walsh family can be and all the wild and I do mean wild secrets both Logan Walsh and his disgusting father Scott were hiding.

I was floored as Mila, with the help of Frankie and Sam and their 'connections', can't quite fathom all the lies she has been told as the dutiful and mousy wife of such a powerful man. I couldn't wait for the ultimate showdown, which did not disappoint and Mila can finally be free of the chains she was trapped in merely by being Logan's wife.

There are plenty of twists and turns in this book which provide the perfect counter to all the passion served up in the bedroom and beyond. It was wicked hot as Mila realizes that both Frankie and Sam want to satisfy her in every way she needed and for her to be able to watch these two delicious men satisfy each other as well. I loved how Mila decided to take what she craved for a change and I couldn't wait until she was able to show this new side of herself to the despicable Logan and Scott. Which, btw, she did beautifully.

In the end, Repulse became much more than I could have asked for as Lesley Jones dipped her toes into the world of M/M/F. The combination of mystery, together with the 'coming out' so to speak for Mila along with the want from both Frankie and Sam to forge a new life with their woman by their side was carried out quite well. Sure, there were a few instances where moments with the Walsh family seemed kind of over the top for me but overall this was an enjoyable and easy-to-read book.

I hope Jones dives back into this kind of world again and gives it her special touch of never just presenting a book of sex only but always backing it up with plenty of heart and many surprises along the way. Repulse is exactly that and worthy of a solid 4 stars.

This was one of the most sloppily written books i’ve ever read.

The amount of typos throughout was absolutely insane.
For being a less than 300 page book, you would think that SOMEONE in the author’s life could have read & triple checked for spelling errors.

Again with the whole “being less than 300 pages” thing; I think there were AT LEAST 50 different references to songs playing throughout the book.
Honestly, there were probably more than 50.
Some scenes had mentions to 3 different songs alone.
The characters would get in the car & name the song that was playing, then immediately mention the next song & do it again once more before they even got out of the car.
It was comical & lame.
Bringing up Jelly Roll was my final straw.

I decided to read this because my all time favorite types of romance books are MMF.

The first clue that this was going to be a trash book should have been when Lesley Jones herself posted a “what you can expect” photo about this book on her instagram where she lists insta-lust & cheating as selling factors to get people to read it.

I thought it was very well known that insta-lust is one of the most hated tropes in the book community.
I’ve never heard of someone stating “Wow, I loved how the characters were already obsessed with each other on page 4”.

And anyone who picks up a book because they can’t wait to read about people being cheated on is just weird.

The sex club scenes towards the end of the book were disgusting & repulsive instead of sexy.
The mention of the old man wheeling around an IV connected to his balls for his “scrotal infusion” was one of the grossest things i’ve ever read.

I loved the Carnage Duet by this same author, but if you asked me what my main complaint with it was, i’d say it was how absolutely annoying the FMC was when talking about her emotions.
The constant “i’m not usually a crier”…
*proceeds to bawl her eyes out on every. single. page.*
Or her eyes burn from holding back tears.
Or a sob escapes her throat.

Well, the FMC in this book was the EXACT same.
Lesley Jones can only write one type of FMC.

There are many, many better options if you’re looking for an MMC romance, skip this one.

****4.5 What a delectable manwich Stars****

You know what I didn't have on my 2024 bingo card? Lesley Jones writing some of the best queer, poly romance I've read in what feels like forever! I say this with all the respect to this woman: THANK YOU! I'm sure writing something so outside your typical genre must have been mildly terrifying but oh what a loss it would have been.

Where do I even begin with this one. An absolute roller coaster of a story. I'm not even going to lie, the prologue had me going "Excuse you ma'am what?" But all it took was a chapter and a half and then it was all "sonofabish I'm in." LOL

These three were FIRE. Like look over your shoulder, make sure you're alone or someone will report you off-the-charts fire. There were moments that felt like I shouldn't be reading this because it felt private. But, you know...then I remember these are fictional characters and it was fine.

There was drama. There was passion. There were more twists and turns than a middle of nowhere road up a mountain. I think I finally figured out why I love Lesley's work so much. I grew up on a steady diet of 90s celeb gossip and Mexican telenovelas. She gives me all the draaaaaaaama and I live for this chaos man. The pay-off is always worth it. Sure you end up with HEA, but holy cheeseballs, the journey to get there is wild.

If anything less-than straight isn't your thing then this is isn't for you. But, if you're even remotely curious? This one is a fantastic place to start. So much genuine affection between these three. The epilogue was perfection! Perfect read for Pride 2024.

P.S. I feel like this would have made a helluva scene in Carnage. IYKYK. :D

Emotional Passionate ... Brilliant

For ten years I have devoured every book the amazingly talented Lesley Jones has published. Her words are phenomenal, emotional, sexy, sensual, exceptionally spicy, and REPULSE is no different. Well, it is different, this time Lesley has written an MMF romance, and she absolutely slayed it!! I devoured REPULSE, everything about it was flawless, I didn't want it to end. Then came the Epilogue, it was the icing on the cake!!

Mila Walsh's life was boring, she needed spark, excitement, and knew exactly where and who to go to. Frankie Walsh was a successful businessman, in partnership with his best friend Sam Olssen. These men have a secret and sharing it with Mila will alter everything for all of them.

The spice, passion, emotions, twists and turns, Lesley effortlessly brings them all. I laughed, cried, raged, squirmed, sighed, and fell in love with all three incredible characters. They were explosive together, supportive and perfectly matched. While every good book has a villain, Lesley has excelled with hers in this one, they are deplorable, some of the vilest villains I have come across. But what goes around comes around and revenge is sweet, Lesley certainly doesn't skimp on that either.

REPULSE is a book that cannot be missed. It is BLOODY BRILLIANT!! As with all books by Lesley, you don't just read it, you experience it. A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READ.

Well Ms Jones, you've certainly unleashed your inner naughty minx and let her indulge in scrumptiously, super hot threesome that sets the pages on fire!!!
Holy guacamole woman, where were you hiding your secret sexy personality.
Fans of carnage, this one is different. Don't go expecting the same tone or trope. It's matured writing, with more adult content handled with lascivious intent.
It's full of dripping lust, fiery sentiments, intense emotions and oh so juicy-sexy times, I was fanning myself to cool down.
Mila is a bored housewife, married to a total narcissist. Her last hurrah before she commits to motherhood is her deep buried desire to have a threesome.
Enter Sam & Frankie. Now you must think that's cheating. But it's just the tip of the convoluted plot the size of iceberg hidden beneath. She's being played to the point where her life comes under danger.
Intricate writing brings this web of lies and deceit to the light and ms Jones should get ready for accolades and praises for a well crafted book.

She is bored. Bored of the party. Bored of those attending. Bored of her life. And then he walks through the door.

She had no one to blame but herself. This is the life she sought since she was a child and teased and tempted until she got the life she wanted. A life out of the poor neighborhood. A life away from a drunken father. A life away from a mother who walked away when she was a baby without looking back.

And her husband's gorgeous cousin is just the person to lift her boredom.

Although I usually stay away from any story that involves a cheating spouse I loved this story. When Mila saw Ella in her homeroom class she knew she was her ticket into the Walsh family fortunes. So she befriended her and set her snares for Ella's brother Logan. She used every tactic she had to tease him away from his girlfriend and held out until she got the ring on her finger. So she had no one to blame for her current circumstances.

This book is action-packed and full of intrigue and surprises. Mila wanted to live out her fantasy of being with two men before she had to fulfill her duties as a wife and have her husband's heir.

Frankie and Sam co-own a sex club and Mila gets more eye-opening visions than expected when she finds out that everything in her marriage has been a lie.

If you like MMF romance you will love this steamy, action-packed story. This is the first time I have read Lesley Jones and I loved the unexpected twists in this storyline.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This book was so good that I read it all in one sitting. This is a emotional roller coaster of a read too. You will be going through them all. It is the story of Mila, Frankie, Sam. Mila is on a mission, so to speak, to have it all. She wants it all in and out of the bedroom. Two are always better than one, and that is exactly what she wants. Frankie and Sam are business partners and when they meet Mila they both know that they have to have her. Mila is a girl who knew what she wanted in life and she did it pretty well because he is powerful and rich and she has a really great lifestyle. She makes sure to meet the expectations of that life as well as upholding the family name. Mila has a fantasy and she needs to make that happen before the expectation that has been presented to her happens. Enter the club, the business partners and one weekend. However, things do not always turn out the way they play out in your head and no one expects what is going to happen after their weekend together. This book has secrets, all the unexpected feelings, fantasies played out, drama, and things you won't see coming. This book starts out fast paced and it doesn't slow down till the very end. This was a great book that I really enjoyed reading.

Gotta say I really enjoyed this one, Lesley never disappoints, but don't be expecting Carnage as this is not that!

Set in small town Australia, Mila is a bored housewife, born in a very poor family with a bad background, she set about raising herself out of poverty the only way she could - by bagging the local hot rich kid.

Now married to said kid but bored to tears, no one really understands what married life is like for her in 'that' family, needing one last blow out before she ended up pregnant, she longs for some spice in her life, and sets about making it happen, with her husband's cousin Frankie and his best friend Sam.

Loved the plot twists and turns in this, the chemistry between Mila, Frankie and Sam - the story is not what you think it will be - yes the heat level is off the scales between these three, but the background story behind everything was great and well thought out.

I couldn't put this down once I had started, loving the story line and of course all the hot sexy scenes - be prepared for MF / MFM / MMF / MM in here! The story brought out a whole range of emotions as the plot unravels and the pieces fall in place about the type of family Mila married into, and why she does what she does. Highly recommended reading.

Wow! This story packs some heat, and there is no hanging around waiting for it to happen either!

Can I be the first to claim Sam for myself please? I fell in love with this guy within moments of meeting him. The sad part about this is that I know I’m going to be fighting every other reader for him once they meet him too. Don’t worry though, I have my boxing gloves at the ready 😉

Repulse is more than just a MMF romance story. Lesley Jones has penned a novel that brought out many different emotions in me. Mila not only brings something special to Sam and Frankie’s relationship, her storyline, as it unfolds, adds plenty of twists and turns. I loved that I was anticipating what could possibly happen next - much of it I found to be quite unexpected – which always gets a tick from me.

There is plenty going on in this storyline and whilst that kept me hooked and needing to know how the story develops, I may have felt that there was a little too much at times. This didn't hinder my enjoyment reading Repulse, and I would recommend this story to all MMF romance readers.

4 stars.

A Real Love

I was excited when Lesley Jones first mentioned her idea of an MFM story. This was new territory for her. Her romances always brought characters to life and made us want them to be our friends. Well, guess what? She did it again!!

We meet Mila first, at a party for her father in law. Bored at the party, as she is with her marriage, she winds up talking to Frankie. He’s a cousin on her husband’s side who seems to have a sympathetic ear. They devise a plan for a weekend of fun, along with his friend Sam joining them.

It seems everyone had their own motives for agreeing to this, but it was supposed to be only one weekend, NO emotions. But, they were all surprised by how intense their chemistry and emotions would get.

From here, there are several plot twists that I never saw coming!! Mila learns dark secrets about her husband and family, but Frankie has a secret too. His secret may ruin the relationship that was just starting to bloom.

This book was fast paced, exciting and kept my attention. I couldn’t wait to see how it ended, but also didn’t want it to end!

How far would you go to feel again?

Mila and her siblings grew up poor. Abandoned by their mother to be raised by their father who chose the bottle over them. They relied on the kindness of others for their basic needs. Mila made a promise to herself that she would never live like that again. Mila got to work on a plan that would get her out of poverty and into the richest family in town. But, you know what happens with best-laid plans.

Now, Mila is married into a rich family and she is anything but happy and beyond bored. So, what does a bored house wife do? She risks everything for one fun filled weekend with not one but two men. Can Frankie and Sam bring her body back to life? Short answer, YES!!!

What happens next Mila (nor I) never saw coming.

Lesley Jones stepped out of her comfort zone to write a MFM and as you can imagine it’s packed with enough steam to give you a facial. But also angst, shock, laughter, anger, and a few tears of joy for the perfect ending. A MUST read.

Why would Mila take an Uber to the facility where her mom is staying instead of driving her own car? What is she going to use for an excuse to visit the city so she can participate in her sexual shenanigans if her mother dies? I wonder if her husband doesn’t sense something’s amiss in their marriage since he apparently doesn’t trust her after eight years without any misbehavior on her part. Her husband’s actions become clear further along in the story and the reader discovers he has much more than meets the eye going on.

I liked almost everything about this except the instalove between Mila, Frankie and Sam. They spend a couple of nights together and bam, the men can’t get her out of their systems. She didn’t come across as all that special and if you look at her objectively, she really was a conniving little bitch to lure Logan into marrying her. She didn’t deserve how he treated her but she wasn’t an innocent either.

I think I would have liked the conclusion to have been drawn out a little more. Everything appears to be going to hell and then it’s all solved in a couple of pages.

Ok first of all I love all things Lesley Jones and this is no different however, be prepared it is totally different than anything else I have read from her. At first I didn't think I would like Mila, she seemed a little conniving in planning her life out and looking for a rich husband. But after her story started to unwind I loved her and felt for her and the loneliness and struggles she suffered in her life. More and more lies and deception about her husband come out along the way too. Sam and Frankie initially are there just to add some excitement to this board housewife's life but the three of them quickly develop a emotional connection in the MMF romance. I devoured every single page of this as fast as I could turn those pages. The twists and turns will keep you entranced in the story beginning to end. Definitely a must read and another great book from Lesley!

This gifted author has done a wonderful job in weaving this addictive tale, which has me totally captivated throughout.
Mila is a housewife, who after a recent discovery, takes a weekend away stripped of her, inhibitions, where she meets two strangers, and business partners, Frankie, and Sam. Having choices to make, will Mila return to her loveless marriage?
This is a well written easy to read story, which has family, friendships, emotions, instant lust, palpable chemistry, forbidden, different worlds, loyalty, lies, trust, secrets, suspense, unexpected twists and turns, retribution, and justice, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, haunting, twisted, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

ARC review

Rating: 4/5
Spice: 4/5

I received this book two days before it was due but I knew if it was anything like Lesley’s other books I would have no problem finishing it….and I didn’t. This is a definite cannot put down book.

Mila finds herself in a loveless marriage, amongst other things that unfold, and decides before her life is indefinitely terrible she wants to explore her sexuality. That sexuality includes Sam and Logan. The story line is great…super engaging and keeps you needing to know what is coming and spoiler you won’t know! I LOVE me a book full of smut and this book beyond delivers the smut. The smut is worked so beautifully into the story that it just flows which can be hard sometimes in books but Lesley blew it out of the water.

10/10 recommend this read!

Wow 👌

4.5 stars 🌟

This was so different for Lesley Jones. But it was so good.

Me and Lesley go way back from fictional nens room for book hos Facebook group and was honoured she asked me to review it for my new book group The plot thickens book club.

Who doesn't love a bit of MMF coz I do. My guilty pleasure.

The sex club details Mrs Jones has definitely been doing her research 🫣 sex scenes Mrs Jones definitely delivered on them aswell. Mils Sam and Frankie i absolutely loved there characters. And as Always the characters you learn to hate and Lesley proper made you hate both Logan and Scott from the beginning.

Beautifully done and can see this going somewhere else after a certain scene which I will be definitely reading and stalking Lesley till we get it.

Repulse by L. Jones is a stand alone mmf romance. A story, complex, complicated with lots of main and secondary characters. It took me some time to kkep up with them all.
Mila is married, but has a plan.
Her husband's cousin is her crush since forever and now she's determined to act on it. But with Frankie comes Sam. They're a package deal. So there you have it. What starts out as planned fling, or cunning on Mila's side soon turns into something else.
The storyline has some potholes and sometimes I was lost. But there are spicy scenes, hot ones, and the connection the three main characters build is just beautiful. 4 wonderful stars.

Oh…Lesley is back with a BIG, BANG, BOOM.
I really enjoyed this emotionally complex story set in a small town of Australia.
Our heroine Mila is not your typical heroine. She has a painful past that she struggles to overcome, except now she’s bored. Getting to know this character, how she developed and grew was just part of the overall enjoyment.
Mila has a predicament …
What to do?
Well she has some ideas and the result was this wonderfully entertaining twisted, suspenseful sultry story that kept me in the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next.
The result is another winning story by this wonderful author that is a must read!

Talk about a spicy summer read! Holy crapballs! Mrs. Jones, you have absolutely created a fantastic world that I'm not ready to leave just yet. This is the perfect summer read or winter read for those Down Under to keep you warm ;)

While this is a little different to what Lesley writes, she freaking rocked it! It still has that element of angst and plot twist she's known for, it's just a little different in the angst department but that plot twist...hell yeah! I love that she's stepped out of what she's known to write. I love that it's a completely different book from her back list. And that spice! Ma'am... my husband thanks you!
