Nice little revenge/second chance story. The H/h have been separated for 8 years. They married when poor little rich girl heroine was 19 and the other-side-of-the-tracks hero was building his construction empire. They broke up after a year when the heroine thought he was cheating with an OW.
The story opens in Bali, scene of the H/h's perfect honeymoon, where the heroine has gone to lick her wounds. For the past 8 years the heroine has helped her father with his business. When he died, heroine had to deal with everything herself. Now she's poised to go bankrupt.
Hero has followed her to Bali, sensing this is time for revenge. He will take over the business if she lives with him as his wife for three months. Heroine is horrified that she is still attracted to her husband, but she agrees.
From there we have a travelogue of Bali. Several treacherous body moments and lots of heavy hints that the hero never cheated on the heroine that first year, the heroine never cheated on the hero, and that the evil father was behind all of the misunderstandings.
But before the H/h can have their HEA, an OW-in-training shows up. Her lies are so clumsily told (and easily disproved) that it's hard to believe the heroine would fall for them. Eventually the OW is found out and she is fired. I'm sure this OW will do better next time - she's young and she has to learn to avoid the comeuppance as the most skillful of OWs of HPlandia.
H/h both wanted the other to think they had had affairs. But the heroine never had sex with anyone but the hero. Hero did have sexual affairs about three years into their separation, but eventually tapered off to celibacy. He was still hung up in the heroine.
The hero is cruel at first, but there are plenty of scenes where the H/h get along beautifully and/or the hero shows his affection/tenderness for the heroine. So the HEA feels right.

This was first time I read anything by this author. It was great read and at the end you knew their love for each other was true.

This one was ok but that kind of makes it unmemorable to me, the H had some mean moments and the h was a bit wishy washy despite being a CEO.

Just okay. Second chance for a separated married couple.
Too much hate and bickering by the couple. The author did manage to show that they got along and were cute with each other some of the time, I guess she wanted to show that they had a volatile tempestuous relationship even from the start. Its also a revenge trope because the husband only gets back with the wife for revenge.
The wife left the husband because she found out he was cheating on her, but she never confronts him with this until the end. She just thinks in her head, that he is a hypocrite every time he accuses her of infidelity as well!
What didn't work for me:
The couple reunite after 8 years, which is normally too long for me. They were separated after the first year of marriage due to the manipulations of the heroine's evil father. This villain has been dead for the past several years!! He died soon after their separation! And in all that time, the Hero never tries to contact the heroine? The oh so loyal secretary never reveals that the evil father kept the heroine from her mother? The mother who she has been seeing these past years never reveals to the heroine that the dead father kept them apart and she never abandoned her daughter?
The timeline of this story is a major fail.

Spoiled heroine. Uncommunicative Hero.
What could go wrong?
Hero disappears for five days after a fight with apparently no explanation.
Heroine's father sets hero up so she believes Hero cheated.
Heroine sort of dates other guy...
Chaos ensues.
I liked this one. Good angst. Hero was dickish throughout.

Emma's father had lived for his company—it had meant everything to him. How could she let Richard destroy it and all her father stood for? She had no choice—she had to pay Richard's price. But, even though Richard had reclaimed his place in her bed, it was clear that was the only place he wanted her!

Did not like this book. The H was awful and the h became a total psycho when she was jealous. The story was also disappointing. Too much OTT drama.
