Pretty good standard field guide to the animals and plants of Florida. I gave it four stars because there were a few minor errors and they were so selective about which species they featured and I'm not sure they shouldn't have included a few more species though it would be nearly impossible to include all so I understand the selection process for which to include is likely not an easy one. Also I wouldn't say it was the most entertainingly written. Still very educational and useful. I will be keeping this on me to look for and check off various wildlife using the checklist included on the back.

Good content but the many spelling and grammatical errors diminished its credibility. Poisonous snakes? Really?

Great reference book - Field guide for Florida wildlife and plants with the good idea of having a checklist in the back to keep track of which species you come across. Attractive illustrations accompany each species. Many entries include information on how animals might vary in appearance - male/female, seasonal.

A fantastic summary of the flora and fauna of Florida. Great colorful drawings, and fantastically organized. It doesn't cover everything, but enough so I can satisfy my curiosity with one book on the trail.
