Despite the fact that she is a romance writer, Samantha Christy's favorite television show of all time is The Walking Dead.

And contrary to the fact that her heroines drink things like wine and Cosmos, she prefers Bud Light.

She also loves fan mail and answers all of it.

She went to college and all that, getting a degree in something she never uses. She's also got a gaggle of kids (4) and a pretty decent husband.

Loud Unspoken Memories is book two in The Brothers of Calloway Creek: The Montana Brothers series by Samantha Christy. I fell in love with the Montana family when I read the first book in this series, Quiet Beautiful Things where I met Blake Montana. We heard a little about the reclusive older brother, Dallas, who lived alone up in the mountains. This is his story and what a beautiful story it was!

Dallas Montana is twenty eight years old. He is the CFO for Montana Winery. But, he no longer lives in Calloway Creek where the rest of his family lives. He lives about four hours away in a small, remote mountain cabin, performing all his duties via the internet. Two and a half years earlier, Dallas lost both his wife and infant son. He immediately left his home town to escape the memories and rarely returns to visit his family. He spends his time alone, in his small cabin. That’s the way he wants it. When he discovers a woman alone, just before Thanksgiving, her car crashed as a snowstorm is just beginning, he can’t leave her to freeze which she definitely would. He brings her home to wait out the blizzard. In his small cabin that only has one bed.

Martina “Marti” Carver is twenty four years old and lives in Orlando, Florida. She is a single mom to her adorable three year old son, Charlie. Marti is a graphic designer. Her son was visiting his dad in New York when something happened and Marti had to get there as soon as possible. But mountain roads, lack of GPS and no phone signal gets her hopelessly lost which leads to her crash. If the cold didn’t get her, the wildlife surely would. But luckily, a stranger finds her in time and takes her back to his cabin to wait out the coming storm.

This may contain: a collage of photos with people and animals in the snow

As the blizzard rages on, Marti and Dallas are forced to find a way to cohabitate. Details of their lives slowly slip free. Both are fighting demons of their own but somehow together, they find some peace. There time together on that mountain was not all peaceful, though. There were plenty of hair raising moments that had me on the edge of my seat. I was so proud of Marti and how brave she was!

What a beautiful story this was. It’s only my second book by Samantha but I am so in love with her writing. The timeline of the story travels through both Thanksgiving and Christmas so it made the story all the more enjoyable for me. It truly was a wonderful book. Now I can’t wait for the next book, Crazy Imperfect Hearts, which is Lucas’s book. He’s the brother who just can’t seem to make it down the aisle. The runaway husband. I’m so excited to meet the woman who finally captures his heart for good!

My heart is so lost in this book. I can't take my eyes off of it or seem to be able to put this book down. It draws me in. It pulls me under. I can't let go.

So many of us have lost someone and not sure how to deal with the loss. There is no time frame, no right or wrong way to grieve. It just is.
This book will tell us how two people managed to survive and tell us their story.

Spoiler...

Spoiler..

Dallas and Marti.
They have been through so much and relive the pain of it every day.
Until one snow-covered day.
That their two worlds collide.

Dallas is angry, still grieving, hurt, and blames himself for the loss of his son and wife.
He lives in a cabin in the mountains... alone. Lost. unable to cope.
The only way he knows how is by running as fast and as far as he can to rid himself of his dreams.

This is no different.
Until he hears it.
The vehicle's horn.

Marti Carver age 24 years. Just lost her ex-husband. Her best friend.
Now she is lost in the woods. Snowing.
She has wrecked and can't move. Thank God he wasn't with her. Her son Charlie..

This day is the day Dallas and Marti meet.
This is the day their worlds collide.

One small cabin
One-bedroom
A snowstorm awaits
Two people grieving in so many ways!!
Their families want them back.

I devoured this book. It was beautifully written and very informative.. it's a page-turner that had me reading until the wee hours in the morning. I was hooked.
Thanks, Samantha Christy for writing the book and many others. I can't wait to get my very own copy.
Loud Unspoken Memories will be one I never forget. ❤️

Oh my god the Heroine, Marti, annoyed me so much. She was an ahole.
Also, this book is said to be a “single mother”. Her son is NOT in the book. Like really, her son doesn’t appear at all. Maybe only 20%. I was excited to read a single mother book but this was not a sing mother in any form. I feel like it’s mentioned as a trope to attract people to read the book and then BAM She is stranded in a blizzard without her son with Dallas, who saves her ass on multiple occasions for 10 days.

Also this man saves you when you crashed your car into a tree and offers to let you stay in his house. What does Marti do? She starts demanding things from him. Like can’t you call someone to get me? Then she gets mad when she sees he has a truck and haven’t told her about it. Then she demands he drive her to town. He refuses to put himself in danger by driving in a blizzard. Like how freaking annoying is she? Just stay in your damn busted car if you’re “afraid” of him. Don’t go demanding things from a complete stranger who was kind enough to help you and offer you a place to stay.

Not only that, but Marti wants to force somw “traditions” that she did with her family on Dallas. Like celebrating thanksgiving which he didn’t want to do because its a day after his infant baby died. She forcefully made a feast to celebrate and told him about a “tradition” she has where everyone MUST say something they’re thankful for even if its simple. She pushes him into participating even he didn’t want to.

He tells her that he has a hobby room and she asks more about the room but he is tight lipped. What does Marti do when Dallas is outside chopping wood? Yep, she enters the hobby room. What a nosy bitch. She is a stranger and he gave her a place to sleep so she won’t freeze to death and she goes snooping.

Marti then learns what the hobby room was for and how Dallas lost his wife and baby son. They end up sleeping together and Dallas immediately feels guilty because he still can’t forget his wife and he leaves to go chop more wood.
Marti then tried to initiate sex and he told her that he isn’t sure if it will be Marti he is sleeping with in his mind. Later, Marti is like “I don’t care if he THINKS he won’t be sleeping with me. His eyes say that he wants me” so she sleeps with him again. She asks him for a tissue after they’re done, and he opens the drawer to give her one and he freezes. In the drawer is a picture of him with his wife and son and he feels bad again and tries to leave. Marti knows what is inside the drawer because she is a nosy bitch and she is afraid that he will run again. So she forcibly hugs his waist and asks him not to run away and to stay. Which he does.

Also about the tradition things. She makes a birthday cake on his dead son’s birthday and put on it three candles (they were unlit, but still) Dallas was like did you fucking bake a cake for my dead son? And she is like yes in my family we have a TRADITION where we make cakes for the dead on their birthdays to celebrate them.
Poor Dallas goes along with it and even lights up the candles when she tells him to.
Dallas is so uncomfortable with all this and she forces him to do her “traditions” with her not caring if he is uncomfortable.
Mind you, she still is a stranger to him who knows nothing of hard it has been on him to lose his wife and baby.

After like 6 days, Marti answers Dallas’ phone when he is outside because its his sister and she rang twice so what if it is an emergency 🙃 I will tell what this bitch should’ve done. She should’ve gone outside and told Dallas that his sister is calling. Not. Fucking. Answer. His. Phone. Where the fuck is the privacy.
This bitch invaded his life and forced him to do traditions with her and answers his phone. Zero privacy.

Dallas’ sister is shocked because a woman is answering her brother’s phone.
Marti: Dallas Montana’s phone. How can i help you?
Sister: are you sure this is Dallas’ phone?
Marti: yes can i take a message.
Sister: who are you?

This bitch answers the phone like she is his secretary and is like “can i take a message”
Oh and the cherry on top. Marti asks Allie (Dallas’ Sister) how his wife (Phoebe) and son died!!!!!????
And the sister fucking TELLS HER!!!!!

WHAT. THE. FUCK. IS. THIS. SHIT!!!!?? Im so mad right now! SO MAD!

After her phone call with the sister, Marti goes back in the hobby room (whixh is Phoebe’s art room)
Dallas finds her and asks what is she doing there. She tells him oh sorry but Allie called. Dallas is rightfully confused and tells her Allie and his family don’t even know about Marti so how can they call her.
Marti is like oh no she called on your phone and I answered cuz what if it is an emergency.
Dallas is angry at her for invading his life and forcing everything her way.
This bitch then explodes on him and starts telling him that he can’t do this and that the hobby room is like a shrine for his dead wife and this way he can never move on. Bitch. Read the fucking room.
He tells her to get out. (Finally)

When she tries to apologize later they encounter a bear and all the adrenaline makes them forget the problem and they have sex immediately after being safe.

This is were I finally DNFed cuz I couldn’t anymore.

And there were a lot of coincidences here that just made the whole book unbelievable.

Marti lost her son’s father (they are not together)
Dallas lost his wife and baby.

Marti’s baby is 3. Dallas’ son would’ve been 3.

Spoilers here

Dallas lost his son. Marti had Alex (daughter) but she died when she was 8 days. (She celebrates Alex’s birthday with cake) she also had a lot of miscarriages

She falls in an ice pond and he rescues her. She is fine immediately after.
Dallas always climbs the cell tower and never falls. He falls when Marti is watching and she rescues him.

They encounter a bear and are okay.
Her wrist was injured when she first crashed her car into a tree, but is fine afterwards.

Ugh. This book truly annoyed me with how bitchy and forceful Marti was.

Dallas Montana and Martina Carver

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

Loud Unspoken Memories by Samantha Christy. Montana Family series, book 2. Dual POV. KU borrow. I don't understand what this even was. Samantha Christy really made this couple suffer, and there was a major cringe moment with a dog (quote below). There is a bonus epilogue available through a link at the end of the book.

Content warnings: lots of death in both main characters' past including both of h's parents, her 8 day old baby, his wife, and his 6 month old son; side character's ex-wife had multiple miscarriages in the past; h is in a car accident with injuries but don't worry her rescuer is a hot recluse so she's able to hike to safety without issue and her injuries are barely mentioned after; h falls through ice into a 4 foot deep pond and she's under so long she loses consciousness but don't worry H eventually saves her and she's completely fine; H slips and ends up hung upside down almost 50' in the air on a cell phone tower but don't worry the h is able to save him even though she has a head wound and wounded wrist; there's a bear encounter but don't worry they are able to get in the H's truck; the H's neighbor died on his porch but don't worry H dragged him inside his cabin and rescued his dog; the h's son almost died from anaphylaxis after ingesting some form of peanuts but don't worry the EMTs make it to him in time; and the H's cabin burned to the ground but don't worry H's safe and a millionaire with billionaire parents who can let him stay with them.

Why did I rate it 2 stars? This story was all over the place, but this quote from the book about Bex (the dog) is what tanked it and almost made it a DNF:

"Bex jumps up on the bed and worms his way between us. He licks my hand over and over. I can hardly blame him. Based on where my hand has spent most of the last day, it must taste damn good."

Where was the editor? How did that make it to the published copy? Where is the real Samantha Christy? Samantha Christy has written some of my favorite books, but the last few books she's published haven't been good. My fingers are crossed that the next two books in this series will be better. They have to be, right? JP

1.5 out of 5 on my spice scale (on page sex but there's no chemistry between the characters).

When two broken people meet as a consequence of a snow storm. One is running from the world, and one is running to the one she loves.

I knew Dallas would have a deep story, but Marti’s took me by surprise. Her strength to get through and be the person she is today made me love her even more.

Grief has no timetable, and everyone handles it differently. However, Marti shows Dallas that he is more than his grief; there is a world from which he is hiding. It is not an easy journey, and fighting their attraction adds to the turmoil swirling within Dallas.

I loved and highly recommend this amazing journey between these two characters. I cannot wait for what comes next.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Loud Unspoken Memories is the second book in the Montana Brothers series and this one was quite darker than the first. Not dark romance, just dark content. Dallas Montana lost his wife and infant son in a freak incident and decided to run away to a secluded cabin in the middle of nowhere - for 2 years. One day, while out jogging, he discovers a young woman who wrecked her car and notices her car seat in the back - and proceeds to freak out.

Marti Carver, the woman who crashed her car, needs Dallas's help. She's not physically hurt from the accident, but there is no cell service and she's going to get to her son, who was in New York for the holidays with her 3-year old son, Charlie. You can only imagine how tough it was for Marti to not be able to reach her son - for 10 days! That's how long Dallas and Marti were trapped together.

They had quite the adventure over those ten days. I won't ruin it, but this book was good. It was about learning how to move on from your past to see your future when it's right in front of you. Dallas was incredibly guarded and standoffish with Marti, especially in the beginning. Marti was a force to be reckoned with. I really loved her tenacity and her ability to know exactly what Dallas needed when he needed it. She was so tuned into him.

The hard part, the dark parts, was the loss they both suffered. It was a lot for people who were so young. Marti handled it much better then Dallas, that's for sure. I also really love the Montana family. So warm and welcoming and loving. I can't wait to read the next two books in this series for sure!

I knew Dallas' story was gonna break my heart, but I didn't expect Marti to have an even more heartbreaking story.

Dallas meets Marti by chance when he car goes off the road, stranding her near his home. She essentially becomes his unexpected house guest during the monumental blizzard hitting the mountain. Marti is desperate to get to her son, who has just experienced an unexpected tragedy. What brings these two together is a shared grief few can understand.

Dallas is a beautifully broken man who has self exiled to the mountains. He works alone, and he likes it that way. Marti bursts into his life, exploding his calm and serene cabin. He finds himself saving her on multiple occasions, but she just might save him, too.

An absolutely beautiful tribute to love and healing and moving forward without forgetting the past.

“I've never thought of men as beautiful. But he is. Through all his burliness, protectiveness, and standoffishness, he's beautiful, inside and out.”

"Look at me. Sweetheart, you can do this. We can do this. Together."

“Still, every time he looks at me, I can see it in his eyes. He feels something. Maybe he even feels more than something.”

"You've got this, sweetheart. I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I promise."

“Because the feel of her lips on me is heaven on earth. Ecstasy in its purest.”

"Love is the only thing that can be divided endlessly and still not diminish."

The ANGST!!!

🌟 4.5/5

‼️ While this book can be read as a standalone, this is book 2 of the Montana Brothers series

ℙ𝕆𝕍: first person, dual perspectives

𝕄𝕪 𝕋𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥𝕤:
Samantha's books always have a way of gripping your heart and tearing it to pieces. Luckily, she's also the one to repair it in the best way possible!❤️

Our poor Dallas finally gets his second chance of love after losing both his wife and infant son. I still remember thinking that he needed someone to come heal him when Samantha hinted at it in prior books. Thank goodness, our Marti is the one to help with that!🫶

In true angsty fashion, I bawled my eyes out in certain parts. While some of you may not enjoy books that do that to you, I find myself always gravitating to a book that can bring that much emotion out of me!🥺😍

Thank you, Samantha, for the ARC! Lucas is going to need someone who can push him.🤣

Oh. My. Goodness. I've read all of Samantha Christy's books set in the Calloway Creek world, so I was quite familiar with the tragedy that took the lives of Dallas Montana's wife and infant son. And I was so excited when SC announced that the Montana siblings would be a series because I was *really* looking forward to seeing Dallas fall in love again.

I knew it was going to be a rough story. I knew it was going to be emotional. I knew that this sad, mourning, recluse of a man was going to have to make some major strides to overcome the fear and grief that had him paralyzed in place and living as a recluse in a secluded mountain cabin. And Loud Unspoken Memories was PERFECT in every way! Marti complemented Dallas so well!

The tears I cried while reading this book were worth it! I was a sobbing mess, but seeing Dallas come out on the other side of his grief and creating a new life with Marti -- who has lost almost as much as he had -- was worth the wet pillow!

*Chef's Kiss* In this beautiful story, SC explores the nuanced layers of grief, hope, resilience, healing, and so much more!

Next up is Lucas, Calloway Creek's own runaway groom. And I really hope that there is a book coming for Allie and Marti's brother, Asher!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Loud Unspoken Memories is a heart wrenching tale of loss and finding a second chance at love when living, let alone loving again feels impossible. Loud Unspoken Memories is the second book featuring the Montana siblings and is Dallas and Marti's addictive yet heartbreaking story.
Dallas Montana has lost everything, the life he knew and the future he thought he'd live. Losing his wife and his six month old son has changed Dallas in ways he never could have imagined, he's a shell of the man he used to be and he is not living, he is barely coasting by, waiting for the day he gets to reunite with Phoebe and DJ. After losing his family Dallas left Calloway Creek, his family and friends and the future he thought he'd live behind and fled to a secluded cabin in the woods to live an isolated life away from the memories that haunt him in Calloway Creek. But no matter what he tries, how much he drinks and the amount of wood he cuts, he cannot outrun his grief, especially when he blames himself for their deaths. He's lost his baby and his first and only true love how can he ever recover from that?
"Life no longer matters. I no longer matter. Because who am I if I'm not her husband. His father."
As soon as Martina Carver finds out that her ex husband and child's father Charles has passed away, all she can think about is getting to her son. Except a wrong turn and a blizzard sends Marti's car into a tree in the middle of nowhere. Luckily someone stumbles upon Marti and helps her get out of her mangled car but he isn't very welcoming and is acting like her crashing her car is inconveniencing him! Knowing she has no other choice, Marti has to put her faith in the grumpy mountain man and follow him back to his cabin to call for help. Unfortunately it soon becomes clear that Marti isn't going anywhere for a while because of the blizzard all the roads are covered and because of how remote the cabin is, there is no priority for the roads to be plowed.
Dallas doesn't want Marti here, the whole reason he moved to the cabin is to be alone but she has no where else to go and he may not be the man he used to be but he isn't that much of a jerk to kick a woman out in the middle of a blizzard.
"She shouldn't be here.
Guilt crawls along my spine, stopping at every vertebra, curling it's long fingers around them and squeezing until it hurts. Phoebe is the one who should be lying next to me."
Spending days locked away in the cabin just the two of them and sharing a bed is making sparks appear but Dallas is determined to keep Marti at arms length, he had his one and only love and crossing the line with Marti would flood him with guilt. However despite keeping his distance Marti is making Dallas feel again, making him feel things he hasn't felt in years, things that he's not willing to feel and things he never imagined he'd feel again. But Dallas isn't truly living and whenever he gives way to these feelings, guilt consumes him and makes him retreat into his reclusive ways.
"that's exactly what Dallas Montana does best. He closes doors and runs and hides. I stare at the bathroom and wonder just what he's running and hiding from. His memories. Or me."
For the first time in two and a half years Dallas isn't counting down the hours until another day passes, Marti is slowly bringing him back to life and because she has also lost a lot, she can relate to him like no one else can and an instant connection is formed but Marti represents everything Dallas has lost and being secluded in a cabin together makes the real world disappear, at least for a little bit. But how can Dallas be around Marti and her son when all he sees when he looks at them together is everything he's lost and the life he was supposed to live, which got ripped away from him so cruelly. Dallas is so scared of having his world turned upside down and losing the ones he loves again that he's willing to lose his second chance at living and finding love again.
"one thing I know to be true is that I'm not capable of love. I can't give her what she needs. What she deserves. She deserves everything. She deserves so much more than I could ever offer her. But I can offer her this, here, now."
Can Marti show Dallas that he can love her and Charlie as well as Phoebe and DJ, that he has enough love to go around and loving her and her son doesn't mean he loves Phoebe or DJ any less? Or will Dallas's grief and his need to be alone be too much to overcome?
"he's broken in a way I am too. But what if...
What if it takes one broken person to fix another? Like maybe two broken people can make each other whole somehow. Fill in each other's cracks."
Read Loud Unspoken Memories now to find out if there is a second chance in Dallas's future!
I absolutely LOVED Loud Unspoken Memories, it broke me in all the best ways and I couldn't get enough of these characters and their story. If you've read Samantha's previous books set in her Calloway Creek world you'd have heard about Dallas before and even though I knew my heart was going to be ripped to shreds with Dallas's story, it was so incredible and so much more than I ever could have imagined, it was definitely worth the wait! Loud Unspoken Memories has become my all time favourite Samantha Christy book and I am now going to buy the paperback as I need Dallas and Marti on my shelf and of course in pride of place! I am so pleased that Allie will be getting her own book from what we've seen of Allie, Asher and Bug you just know their story will be incredible too! I cannot wait for what Samantha has in store for us next, I'll be counting down the days!
I received an ARC of Loud Unspoken Memories and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

Samantha Christy sure knows how to grab ahold of those heart strings & tug, tug, tug! Dallas Montana has a tragic history that I knew was going to absolutely destroy me. And boy did Samantha deliver a doozie.
Secluded from the world, Dallas is living a life off the grid & essentially devoid of humanity. He’s still maintaining his roll as CFO in the family business, but beyond an occasional communication for work, he lives a very solitary life. At least until a blizzard blows in with one heck of a passenger.
Martina/Marti Carver is dealing with a tragedy all her own when she finds her car wrapped around a tree with a blizzard on the horizon. As luck would have it, a tortured soul trying to outrun his demons stumbles upon her blaring car horn & rescues her from a devastating fate.
What starts as a simple rescue quickly turns to Dallas struggling with another being invading his very personal space. He’s not exactly the ideal host, but Mother Nature is not finding herself to be very forgiving. As these two find themselves snowed in together with no means of escape, they both have to learn to cope with their pasts while trying to survive the present.
Watching these two navigate their grievous pasts and overcome present setbacks was an emotional journey. And to see them evolve to even consider a future was heartwarming. I love the support the Montana family has in spades. They are strong, encouraging, & and constant presence of love and support. Dallas was the one I was most anxious for, and now that he’s overcome his inner demons, I can’t wait for more from the Montana siblings.

Dallas and Marti

This was a beautiful story of two broken people finding their way through their grief. Both Marti and Dallas had suffered losses, but they dealt with their grief in vastly different ways. Marti celebrated those she had lost and shared her memories of them. Dallas shut the world out and refused to move on.

When they are stranded in Dallas’ remote cabin for 10 days, Marti shows Dallas what he could have if he would take the time to grieve instead of holding onto his pain and guilt. Despite everything the storm threw at them, Marti never lost hope. She wanted to help Dallas and although she fall fast for him, she knew Dallas wasn’t ready to admit to any feelings he had.

Since most of this book took place at the cabin, it was focused on the relationship between Marti and Dallas and their grief. When they finally were able to get back to civilization, their lives were forever changed. But it took time for them both to recover from the events in the cabin and for Dallas to wrap his head around the fact that he could love another woman and child without losing the love he had for his wife and son.

The last few chapters were so beautiful. I loved the time Marti and Dallas took outside the cabin to ease into their relationship that was born out of 10 days spent together in a one room cabin. I loved Dallas’ budding relationship with Charlie, which was probably the most poignant. It was a great story of healing and love and loss.

“There are two people behind that door. One represents everything I lost. The other gave me a taste of hope… of a future I thought wasn’t in the cards… of simply living again. The one hurdle—the one thing I can’t get past—is that the two people behind this door come as a package deal. But I fear that package could never give me what I crave. What I need. What I now know I want. Inner peace.”

Samantha!! How do I even put into words how BEAUTIFUL this book was! How does one explain the feeling of your heart simultaneous being shredded into a million pieces while being put back together again?? That’s exactly what you did with this story!! Dallas’ story was not an easy one but I fell more in love with him every single page. Marti was an absolutely beautiful addition to the Montana family. As a mom of loss myself, I connected so much with her and her story. She was truly one strong woman!

I would recommend every single person read this beautiful, tragic, yet inspiring story of love, strength and finding oneself again!!

“Love is the only thing that can be divided endlessly and still not diminish… It means you can still love them, but you can love others too. You could even love… us. You don’t have to choose. Both can exist, and that doesn’t mean either will be any less.”

Alright y’all - I gave it the ol’ college try but I can’t do it.
This one is being chucked to the back of my #DNF pile.

Marti 👏 is 👏 insufferable.

If you are enough of a bonehead to:

✅ Drive w/o GPS in an unknown area/state
✅ Hit a tree and total your car in the woods
✅ In snow storm no less

And a a hot mountain man comes to your rescue and offers:

✔️ To let you stay with him
✔️ Use his house, water, food, etc.

I think it’s only reasonable to NOT act like an entitled twat demanding:

☑️ That he take you to town in said snowstorm ASAP
☑️ That you get the bed
☑️ That you get to use all his water doing laundry
☑️ That you use up all his food cooking big meals
☑️ That you invade his privacy going into private rooms
☑️ That you force your traditions & beliefs on him about moving on from grief/losing his wife and son
☑️ That you bake a cake for his dead son w/o asking
☑️ That you pick up his phone and talk to his family. About him!!! And how he needs to move on
☑️ That you force yourself on him, even when he says he’s still mourning his wife, because you’re horny and he’s hot

And don’t even get me started on how little it comes up that she has her own son to get back to

Ahhhh! This woman, this book infuriated me and I can’t do it anymore. Too many other books to be read… next!

(End rant 🤯)

This book is freaking phenomenal! The emotions are powerful, the writing excellent, and the HEA is absolutely perfect. I will definitely be thinking about these characters for a long, long time!

I as so impressed with this story! There are some very heavy topics of grief and they were written in a way that will make you feel and cry. At the same time, the healing makes it so worth it. And all the little moments of happiness and peace and bonding are perfectly mixed in. Martina's little boy really brings the story full circle too.

My heart broke so many times for both Dallas and Marti. These two have suffered so much loss. I love that Marti makes Dallas feel again and helps to heal his heart. He saves her life a couple times and when he realizes that he is capable of loving someone again? It's beautiful. It's heart wrenching. It's everything! These two understand each other in a way no one else can. I loved everything about this book. There is not one bad thing about it. Definitely one of my top reads of this year!

If you like your romance with all the feels, healing, and steam make sure to pick this one up. I promise you won't regret it.

Loud Unspoken Memories is an emotional story that broke my heart at times, but also showed how love can help us to move forward in life even after extremely difficult moments.

Dallas is mourning the loss of his wife and son and still struggling a lot. He is someone who can understand what Marti is going through. Her ex has just died and she is trying to get to her son who had been staying with him.

With the heartbreak they both experienced, I wondered how they might move forward individually but also together. It was so well paced, and I appreciated that it wasn't rushed because that would not have felt true to the characters. Instead there is healing and the joy of finding someone who you truly connect with. I was hooked from the very beginning and didn't want to put it down.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.

I just read this book cover to cover today and can barely see through my tear-filled, swollen eyes. This book takes you on a journey of love, loss, desperation, sadness and elation.

Dallas is a recluse living in a hidden cabin in the mountains unable to forgive himself for the death of his wife and baby son. Marti is a single mom finding a way to cope with the deaths of her son’s father, her parents and more. As fate would have it, Marti’s car gets wrapped around a tree as she spins out on ice after losing her way. Dallas finds her, pulls her from the wreckage and they end up snowed in at his cabin with no power for 10 days.

Together, they heal one another’s hearts and find a way out of the wreckage of their lives. This book is so emotional and beautiful and heartbreaking and warming. Read this book and thank me later!!

Well, what can I say........ this book was well worth the wait, and it keeps you emotionally invested from the 1st page.

Dallas Montana is an emotional man who is hiding away from the world.  After loosing his wife and son that he blames himself for,  he became a recluse in his cabin in the mountains, he makes sure he has everything he needs to be able to work remotely and not have to see anyone.
Marti is a single mom who is on the way to pick up her son, to tell him about his father. On her way, she crashes her car, and Dallas rescues her. Because the weather is bad, she lets her stay with him till it passes.
There is a strong chemistry between the two of them, and Dallas tries to ignore it, and when things start to happen, he makes excuses to get away.
Marti helps Dallas move forward and remember his family instead of forgetting. She also has losses in her life.
Will they both move forward and help each other to have a future together ? ❤️
If you love a fantastic read, then this is one for you.
Ready for book three 😍

Loud Unspoken Memories is book 2 in the Montana series by Samantha Christy. Although it is book number 2 you can definitely read this as a standalone. This book is the one I’ve wanted for a while… we finally get Dallas Montanas story. This is Dallas and Martina’s book.

The Fmc, Martina, is a single mom to her son Charlie. Charles , her ex, and her are how exes should be.. coparenting, and friends and doing what is best for their child. Buttttt when Charles dies suddenly, she has to drive to go pick up her son at his dad’s house. What she wasn’t prepared for was weather and being stranded for almost 2 weeks with Dallas Montana.

The MMC, Dallas, man has this guy been through the wringer. When it all went down, he closed himself off, and became this recluse of a mountain man. He is able to work remotely for his job at Montana Winery. He is grumpy, gruff, and suffers a lot of blame that has closed him off and hardened his heart.

When Dallas and Martina finally come together it is sparks and tension and all that fire. They both have dealt with so much loss, but Martina rose out from under that grief. She finally gets Dallas to come back to the land of the living and to thaw his heart to love again but

What will happen when the roads are clear? Will Dallas go back to Calloway Creek or stay at his cabin.? Will he allow himself to love again after the loss he was dealt?

This book deals with a lot of tough things, so please regard that as reading. It also deals with grief and how we all choose to deal with grief differently. There’s no time table for that.

I absolutely loved this and can’t wait for Lucas and Allies two books. Thank you Samantha for letting me be a part of your team.

I knew going into this book I would shed some tears... Samantha set Dallas up for an amazing story with so much healing. I fell in love with this man, and I just knew he would be everything and more. I don't think there is a man that Samantha can write that I wouldn't love.

Dallas is living his life out in the woods away from the world, and he lives in his grief. My heart broke for all he went through. There will always be a special place in my heart for him.

Marti is a fierce woman who has some sass, and I loved her fire. She had a comeback for everything, and I laughed out loud at times with them.

If anyone deserves a HEA, it is these two characters!
This book will make you see a very different side of the grief process. There is so much healing in this book, and you can feel it from the pages.

What a roller coaster of a book. I teared up or cried at so many parts in this book. It's not just a sad book though....It's also a healing book. Dallas finding Marti couldn't have come at a better time for the both of them. 2 broken souls who healed each other in the best, most loveable way. This was a story about inner turmoil, heartbreak and second chances.

*If you don't read the extended epilogues on KU, you are missing out. They are always the last little bit in the book that you never knew you needed, but secretly always crave!!!!

What an exciting, intense story. A single mom, has an unfortunate accident in a snowstorm, but sadly strands her with a grumpy, disgruntled widowed man. As they both struggle to get along, both find out they are dealing with horrible loss, death, so much heartbreak. Beautiful story ❤️ about dealing with grief, learning to move on an hope to cope with the memories and loss. Absolutely amazing story.

Samantha Christy never fails to bring ALL the feels out in her books. This one absolutely gutted me. I think several of us have been waiting for Dallas’ story & it was everything I could have hoped for & more. It was heart wrenching, captivating, steamy, passionate; literally everything you could hope for in a book. Marti was the perfect leading lady for this broken, beautiful man, being broken herself. They were the pieces each other needed to put themselves back together!
