This was my first book of the Author and tbh, when I read the synopsis, I jumped to apply for the ARC since it looked promising, but unfortunately this was a hit and miss for me😕 but anyways the cover looks absolutely stunning tho😍

It wasn't that this book was slow, it was surprisingly fast-paced, but maybe I wasn't really in the mood and felt something fell short🙂

Sunny Johnson is an innocent showgirl who works at Benton Las Vegas Grand, she either ends up explaining so much or hides things to herself and doesn't say anything. She gets fake engaged to the ruthless CEO due to the circumstances she is put through by someone close to her.

Coleridge Benton III or Cole is the ruthless CEO of Benton Groups, is best known as the "Triple Ice" by everyone due to his extremely cold demeanour🥶, who would go to any extent to attain what he needs even if he has to lie or blackmail anyone. And also he is so obsessed with chess (aka making everyone his pawns) that he turned his house, his office into a chess board as well♟🖤🤍

Nora Benton is Cole's grandmother, Sunny's grandmother's best friend. She is the most sassiest grandmother in this generation, if I must say. She always gets what she wants, even if she has to threaten her grandson🤭

This was the first time I have read Theodora Taylor and I must admit I jumped on the book because the premise sounded so good... unfortunately it fell a little flat and ended up just missing the mark on being amazing.

Sunny is a showgirl in Vegas and completely broke. One morning she is called up to the CEO's office of the Hotel she works at with a proposition. You see, Sunny has a secret, there is a paper trail with her name all over it showing that she emptied a charity fund setup for her grandmother by none other than the CEO's grandmother (since they were best friends.) Mr CEO, Cole promises to cover for Sunny and pay back the funds she "stole" if she agrees to be his fiance. His grandmother has said if he does not marry Sunny she will hand over her shares and managing stake of the company to his brother - So the two agree to fake a relationship, at least until Cole can call a vote at the next board and vote his grandmother out.

I loved Sunny, she was the epitome of her name and a ray of positivity and light for everyone she met and interacted with, she has this way of instantly making you like her and want to be her friend and due to this, she is very self-sacrificing on her happiness, delimiting her own life - to make others happier in theirs.

Cole, I did not like. He gave me vibes of crossing Cristian Grey with Richard Gere's character from Pretty Woman (which felt very similar except Sunny is a showgirl and dances for money instead of being a prostitute). He has this need to be in utter control of every single part of his life and needs to feel alpha. As a result, I couldn't really piece his personality as it was almost a combination of so many men - it felt like nothing at all. He was controlling, overbearing, authoritarian and manipulative which did not make him charming at all.

The side characters of this steal the book if I have to be honest, she has the bestest best friend who I did think for a moment didn't deserve her. The grandmother is hilarious and I love the fact that she does what she pleases and acts how she wants - often not listening to those around her cause she is in it for a good time...and who can hate a gay boxer??? I mean they were hilarious and amazing!

Overall this was fast-paced, and a quick little read - and if you LOVE Pretty Woman then you will love this! I wish it was a little more spicy - because while there are a few scenes, they are pretty vanilla in context. There are elements hinted at regarding the criminal underworld I wish were explored more - and I am not sure if it is meant to be just accepted like this or if they are in the other books in the series (hence not going into the backstory).

I absolutely loved this book. Wonderful characters and amazing plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

Sunny is a showgirl at the Benton Las Vegas Grand and is juggling another three jobs. To make up for something that someone she loves done. Cole Benton lll is a CEO of the Benton Worldwide hotel empire. He calls her to his office and accuses her of theft. She doesn’t say anything. He pulls out a wedding ring from his drawer. He offers to help with her financial struggles in exchange for her to play his fiancée. And so the games begin. I loved their chemistry and passion. They were made for each other.

Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re a fan of fake relationship, billionaire romance then you’re going to love it.

I received this as an ARC from the author and Valentine PR! I enjoyed reading this. It was a perfect little rom com. Sunny is truly a ball of sunshine. I loved her personality and how she was with Cole. I loved that she stood her ground with him too. She loved him and did her best to help him. She was a baddie and had the most caring heart 💞💞! Cole was icy, hot, and had to be in control. He wasn’t expecting to want Sunny as much as he did. I loved seeing him change because of her. He became less robotic and more patient and caring. She brought out a better side in him! 🤍Nora was the BEST! I loved that woman, the way she talked, and her personality 😆💛! Getting to read about these characters and seeing them fall in love was amazing. They both had to make some changes and in the end love made it all worth it! I truly can’t wait to see Max’s, Cole’s brother, book! 💗

This was a good read. I enjoyed the story and loved Sunny's character and how she tore down Cole’s walls by the end. Cole is very grumpy and comes across as someone who holds a lot of anger. I enjoyed it to an extent but I did struggle with the controlling behaviour. Don't get me wrong, I loved it with the spice dynamic but every part of her life cutting her off from things she cared about was a bit much. I will mention I did get confused about what was happening in the first 10%. I wish we got more of the brothers maybe talking out everything by the end. Overall it was a good read

i'm so confused... these characters have been written about previously in vegas baby vegas and prudence was in loves gamble???

edit: ok wth theodora?? nowhere is this clearly labeled as an updated/revised vegas baby vegas to fit these characters into the 50 loving states series. that's very sneaky. and then to sell this book for 5 bucks when there wasn't a whole lot (or frankly better) changes made to the story. leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

I love a good fake fiancé trope and that's what got me wanting to read this as an ARC! Cole aka Triple Ice was just the right amount of cold to get my knickers in a twist. Opposites definitely attract in this one as Sunny is a little ray of sunshine to his all business attitude. Their dynamic was hot af and him worshipping her body like she deserved was *chef's kiss*

I enjoyed this. It was a bit less steamy than the other books I've read by her, but nothing wrong with that. It was definitely sexy, just not as descriptive. Sunny is very naive (kind of gives me a Marilyn Monroe in her movies vibe). She's not ditzy but just seems to take people at face value and expects way too much of others. I suppose in that sense, she's a good foil for Cole. I liked Sunny a lot. I appreciate her kind heart and her generous spirit. She is constantly out there putting good energy in the world. You want all the good things for her.

Cole came off as an a-hole for a big part of the book. He legitimately did not care about others. He was single-minded in his goal to achieve control of his family's company. Control is actually the single motivator in his life. He didn't even mind backstabbing his grandmother for that. I will say that his evolution was believable. Time spent with Sunny is healing to him. In her own words, she helps him develop empathy. I can understand his control issues. He read very emotionally immature in that he had either no impulse control, or went right into shutdown mode.

I have a pet peeve. Why do sexy romance novels always have to bring in some kind of BDSM angle? This one is very light, but they establish that Sunny has an unrealized submissive side that Cole helps her to feel free to explore under his dominance. But then he makes a comment about we don't have to put labels on it. Okay, but aren't you putting labels on it when she establish her as a submissive and him as her dom? It's a YMMV scenario. I'm just not a fan of BDSM, and I think it's thrown in there to make a book more sexy. It doesn't need to be there for a book to be sexy, so maybe don't feel like it's arbitrary. Otherwise, I though their sexy times were well written, and you could definitely see their growing emotional bond. I love when the author can convey sensuality and strong tension without sacrificing tenderness. For Cole to be such a closed off person, he was surprisingly gentle and responsive and caring in the bedroom. My favorite parts were when they would just hold each other. I'm a sucker for that, especially for a person who's generally not very touchy feely at all. I think this showed what Cole was like on the inside under all that ice, and boy did he fight letting his true self come out. But Sunny is not someone that's easy to resist.

I started out not liking Cole and not wanting him to get a chance with Sunny, but by the end of the book, I was all in. I love his gestures that showed his love. It's one thing so say empty words, but another thing for your actions to reveal how your heart really feels.

As a lifelong romance reader, I have been sadly detached from the genre for the past few years. But it's so good to pick up a book where I am deeply drawn into the love story. While this story is on the lighter side and isn't life changing (I feel like most contemporary romance novels like the soul-searing intensity of older romance novels), I did enjoy reading this book, and it made me want to read even more of Theodora Taylor's books. She does such a good job with a love story. I hope she writes more on this level with the sensuality, because I'm personally not drawn into the more erotic romances. But it's nice to know that she has books for every taste.

I enjoyed the secondary characters very much, such as Nora, Cole's grandmother. She was such a character. I also loved all Sunny's friends. I really appreciated Sunny's friends who are a gay couple deeply in love (one of the pair is a drag queen). They weren't one dimensional characters but very layered and authentic. I also love all the easter eggs, Theodora Taylor puts in her stories that connect to other books by her. They make me want to track those books down.

Yeah, this was a good one. Overall rating: 4.25./5.0 stars.

I like the way Theodora Taylor writes. Her books are fun, witty and easy to read. As evidenced by how quickly, I read through this one. Honestly it was train rides to and from work, some lunchtime reading and a couple of hours at home. The story was that good!

It’s an arranged marriage trope between Sunny and Cole. Both are grandchildren of best friends. While Sunny’s grandmother has passed, Cole’s is very much alive and meddling in his life. She decides that Cole should marry Sunny or lose his chance to be the CEO of the family business.

So Cole goes into the engagement for financial reasons tricking Sunny into believing his grandmother is dying. So she’s doing it to fulfill his grandmother’s dying wish. Y’all know how this is gonna end up!

Though through their fake engagement we learn a lot about the past hurts that have formed Cole and Sunny. They also get a HEA. And while the book takes place in Las Vegas there is not a lot of Vegas locations in the book.

A fun and engaging read!

I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I saw rom com billionaire Vegas and was like I’m In!

But seriously this was so good, not even one cheesy bad part. I started reading it at lunch at work so when I had to put it down to go back to work, I was very annoyed. I thought about it the entire time until I could pick it up after work. You know what I mean?!? It was just really good!!

Sunny is truly her namesake, and I honestly wished I could be like her. She’s so tough but everyone’s best friend, and she gives Cole the tough love he needs.

Cole was way more than I thought he would be. He was very complex and confusing but I understood him. Some people are wired differently, men are confusing haha

The story is great!! I loved the blackmail and the whole premise with Nora. I even liked the Max aspects, kinda made it a family dynamic situation. You kinda know where it’s going already, fake marriage is usually predictable, but I couldn’t freaking wait for the plot break! Cole’s a cold hot piece! I liked seeing him work through his trauma. That’s what a good woman can do for you! He was so sexy and dominant, even his contracts were not. Sunny says there must be something wrong with her when she gets turned on by his actions, his jealous…well there’s something wrong with me too!

As a huge Vegas Vacation fan, my dad took me and fam to Vegas as soon as I turned 21 for a family trip. My mom and him would go there a lot before I was of age. And now I’ve made it a tradition to go every year since (10 years). I’m not really a gambler, it’s just so exiting!
It’s transitioned to become a tradition for my husband and me, we got married there and just generally love it as our vacay destination! So basically why this book popped out for me (🧀) haha but really loved this story!! I just like the authors to know that their stories affect people in a personal positive way 😁

I love the ruthless men Ms Taylor writes. Cole is beautiful and domineering. Sunny is warm and patient with him. He loves having control and Sunny somehow chips away at his tough exterior. Nora is a fun side character who likes to meddle in her grandson's life.

Sunny Johnson is summoned into the office of Cole Benton III, CEO of Benton Worldwide hotel empire. His office overlooks the Vegas skyline and she knows exactly why he wants to see her.

It's about the money missing from his grandmother's charity funds. He wants to know why she stole it but she can't tell him.

I want to thank the author for allowing me to receive an arc because when I first read the book and the tropes I was hooked from the very beginning.

This book is like a Cinderella story, not a retelling but it has a Cinderella feeling. I love fake engagement, marriage of convenience or arranged marriage. Anything in that nature best believe I am reading it ! This book gave me so many feelings, had me kicking my feet, smiling, laughing & gasping I loved the characters so much. Cole needs to come home with me RIGHT NOW when they said ruthless Mrs. Theodora Taylor meant it ! I wanted to marry him from the start.

I love Sunny!!! She was an absolute breath of fresh air and my perfect mix of strong, independent but also fun. Just what I like on an FMC.

Cole is the epitome of closed off and icy cold, jeez that guy could freeze anything. I really enjoyed the fact he thawed over time in his relationship with Sunny and truly found his first love.

The writing was just what you want for a contemporary romance and it ticked all of the boxes it claimed to have in the tropes list. I would read more from this series in the future.

Who doesn't love a Vegas story?! Everyone has fun in Vegas and Sunny and Cole definitely had a good time! This is my first book from this author and I'm so excited for the rest of the series!

This book had so many different elements that just kept you hooked the whole time! I was addicted to it once I started and couldn't put it down until I was done.

I loved that their story took place in Vegas, with her basically being a show girl and him being a scary CEO. They just clicked as soon as they gave each other the chance. Loved this one!

When I saw the cover of ‘Sunny in Vegas’ I was immediately intrigued. I just love the bold blue cover and so I signed up for an ARC. Lucky for me, I got picked to read an ARC and started reading as soon as I could.

In ‘Sunny in Vegas’ we read the story of Sunny and Cole. Sunny is a showgirl in Vegas, who is currently working three jobs to make sure no one finds out her secret. But then Cole, the ruthless CEO of the Benton Worldwide hotel empire calls her to his office. The last thing Sunny expects is Cole making her an offer she can’t refuse. Sunny has to act like Cole’s fiancé for a few months and he will make all her problems disappear. This might not sound like a bad thing.. But Cole is called ruthless for a reason and being around him all the time might be a very dangerous thing.

‘Sunny in Vegas’ is a book that has no slow introduction. Bam.. we are right in the middle of things. It’s a fast paced read, and I was a bit apprehensive that there would be no depth at all in this read. But after the first few chapters, I found myself enjoying getting to know Sunny and Cole. And the fast pace seemed to fit the Vegas, billionaire life.

Sunny and Cole had a lot of chemistry right from the start. And yes, this book was pretty predictable but I had a lot of fun reading it. Sunny and Cole’s characters where fun and I loved how they made each other better. I especially loved how Cole wanted to be different for Sunny, and how protective he was right from the start. Yes, he was a bit to controlling and rough at times.. but it didn’t bother me to much.

The setting of Vegas was very fun, even though we didn’t get to read as much about it as I’d thought we would at first. There where some fun side characters I’d enjoyed reading about. And there where some cute butterfly moments.

I read ‘Sunny in Vegas’ in one day and definitely had a lot of fun with these characters. If there is one thing that this book made sure of is my determination to read the first book in the series as well. I found this authors way of writing very entertaining.

My favorite part of this novel was reading about Sunny cracking Triple Ice Cole Benton III’s outer shell for her and for her only, when no one was looking. I love a big male softy who treats his woman right.

When Sunny Johnson is called to the corporate offices of Benton Worldwide she figures her secret had been revealed and it was time to face the music. What she hadn't expected was to be blackmailed into a fake engagement with the CEO. How bad can it be to pretend to be engaged to the cold but oh so hot Cole Benton? Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how she looks at, Sunny will soon find out.
Sunny in Vegas is a great romance read about how opposites attract. Cole and Sunny transition into a relationship wasn't a smooth one but that's what made it so good between the two of them. The back and forth fight for control brought about a passionate and emotional connection that neither thought possible. I loved how Sunny let Cole know not to mistake her kindness for weakness which made him love and respect her more. Cole, who is used to having his way, learned that a little push back can be much more fun than a doormat. The story is heartwarming great read.

Sunny Johnson is stuck working three jobs in Las Vegas due to a massive mistake. One not made by her but a loved one. Stuck being a rock and a hard place, Sunny is trying to offset the huge mistake before the CEO of Benton Worldwide (also her employer) realizes the mistake. Her luck runs out when the CEO Cole “Triple Ice” Benton III calls her into his offers and offers an ultimatum. Either get married to him or else.

Coleridge “Cole” Benton III is blackmailed into making Sunny Johnson his fiancé to avoid a life changing decision that can be made by Nora (his grandma). When he meets Sunny, a plan starts to form that would allow him to remove his Grandma from the board of directors without her realizing what is happening. Lines start to cross and soon feelings become involved. Can these two make their relationship last or are they setting themselves up for failure?

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I am impressed. I love the alpha-ness of Cole and that Sunny doesn’t let him walk all over her like a doormat. I would consider reading another of Theodora’s books. Some tropes include: fake engagement/fake dating, found family, forced proximity and strangers to lovers. Some TWs to consider: mention of child neglect, death of a parent (mentioned and not really detailed), child abandonment, sexual harassment (against FMC), drug usage/rehab. Be sure to take care of yourself.

Me costo mucho terminarlo, mas que nada por la actitud posesiva y toxica del protagonista masculino. Siento que solo servía para manipular a Sunny (protagonista femenina).

Toda esta historia empieza cuando la abuela de Cole le dice que se tiene que casar para poder dejarle de herencia la empresa de la familia, en la cual Cole ha gastado su vida entera para levantarla, así que su abuela le sugiere a Sunny (que resulta ser la nieta de la mejor amiga de Cole).

Sunny, por otro lado, es bailarina de las vegas, forma parte de un grupo de mujeres que se encargan de los shows cada noche. Sin embargo todo esto cambia cuando llega la propuesta de Cole de fingir que están comprometidos, pues este le dice que solo lo hace porque su abuela esta muriendo.

Miren, desde un principio todo mal: agresivo, manipulador, posesivo, no acepta un NO por respuesta, no me gusto su forma de ser de Cole. Y lo que es aun peor, que me quisieron poner un trauma como consecuencia de su actitud. PERO DECLINE. Cuando Sunny le dijo que no quería vivir con el y el hizo de todo (hasta hizo que la mejor amiga de Sunny estuviera ocupada para que cuando le llamara no pudiera contestar/le dijera que no podía), no, no, y no.

Para todo quería hacer contrato, a tal punto que casi casi la quería hacer firmar (obligada) un contrato donde dijera que podían tener sexo en cualquier momento

Creo que por eso no disfrute el libro:(

I’m grateful for the opportunity to read a arc of this book and I’m happy I read this book because it was so good.

Once I started this book it was hard to put this book down, I enjoyed this storyline and the writing style was so easy to read because I was in a little ready slump and this book helped me get out of it.

This book has so many amazing tropes and I loved how she stole from him and then to help repay what she stole he asked her to marry him. What a grate concept and this book carried it out well in a way that I enjoyed.

I haven’t read a book by this author and I really need to go back and read the first book because this book has got me hooked on this author.

Sunny is a grate fmc and she was interesting and Im glad I got to know her character and see her grow over this book.

Nora was so funny and she was a great side character who was in the background of everything and she made me laugh.

Cole is amazing and his growth was amazing. He changed so much and I was rooting for him.

This book had spice and I enjoyed it.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the truth didn’t come out sooner because that’s my personal preference. But when the truth came out it was done in such a great way which was so interesting.

I recommend this book for anyone who thinks this book sounds good

A fast-paced, fake dating romance as Vegas showgirl Sunny finds herself blackmailed by hotel tycoon Coleridge Benton the third aka Cole into a pretend engagement charade to get his meddling grandmother and major shareholder in the company off his back about his private life and his lack in providing her great grand-babies and she had decided that Sunny, her best friend’s granddaughter fit the bill perfectly.

I wanted so much to love this book and I did love the male characters, from Cole and his BFF Lobo, the head of the Los Lobo cartel to a queer boxer named Tony and his amour Cherenity. The overall concept of the story was good where blackmail seemed to be the favourite pastime but where Sunny in Vegas fell a little flat for me was with the female characters. Sunny especially seemed a bit one dimensional and just bland while Cole’s grandmother was just an old woman behaving badly who held the threat of losing a company he’d sweated blood over, over the head of her grandson. Usually that kind of character comes across as being a bit quirky and loveable with their heart in the right place but here Nora was just nasty and manipulative. I also didn’t get any sense of connection or chemistry between Sunny and Cole despite their numerous spicy encounters, but I have been left intrigued as to what is going on between Sunny’s friend Carly and Lobo.

Sunny is working three jobs in Vegas to pay for a terrible thing someone she loves did. She was hoping that no one would find out but of course CEO of Benton Worldwide Cole Benton III, aka Triple Ice, found out. 

His solution: pay off her debt under one condition.. marry him with no questions asked. 

Sunny is truly a happy person despite all of the troubles plaguing her. She really grew into such a strong woman by the end of the book. Cole is able to find love and showed growth not only as a person but as the man that Sunny needed.

As someone who loves a marriage of convenience, grumpy x sunshine read, I was super excited to get my hands on this ARC.

I tried to get on board with Cole's reasons for proposing the fake marriage idea. His grandma who threatened to give up her shares and give to his brother Max who he has unknown animosity with, made sense in this fictional story.

Sunny's reason for accepting also made sense. She was caught stealing money from a charity fund (again the reason was unclear to me) and would be able to pay Cole back by pretending to be his finance until he booted his grandma off the board.

Where the book started to lose me was when contracts started being thrown around, feelings got involved and all of a sudden they were engaged for real, when an extremely small amount of time had passed. I am not a fan of insta-love and I thought that both our MC's caught feelings way to quick while they were both still hiding things from each other.

This book was ok to me. It was easy enough to read and I thought it had the potential to win be back enough that I finished it, but I wouldn't recommend unless you're looking for a mindless read with some mildly spicy scenes.

sunny + cole 🫶🏻

The fake marriage trope was what got me interested signing up for this ARC but I loved this book because Cole is borderline morally grey LOL Sunny has a fitting name considering she is literally a ray of sunshine and Cole lives up to his nickname as “Triple Ice.”

Cole is ruthless, cunning and the CEO of his family’s business, Benton Worldwide Hotels. When his grandma blackmails him into marrying Sunny, he decides to deceive Sunny into marrying him or else his empire will be taken over by his brother, Max who basically does nothing for the company. In Sunny’s eyes, she’s helping Cole’s grandma and it gets her debt taken care of so she is quick to agree with the fake marriage.

Sunny seems to be the complete opposite of Cole. She is warm, kind-hearted and caring. She is a dancer just like her own grandmother was. What I loved most of Sunny is that she didn’t take Cole’s BS. He needs control but Sunny wasn’t having any of it. She stood her ground at all times even when Cole was spiraling. She knew when she deserved more. This book does contain a third-act breakup so I wish there was more to it when they made up. I felt that it was rushed but overall I really enjoyed this book! The characters, the SPICE 🥵 I loved that Sunny ended up being a little brat 🤪
