Recommends it for: foodies
I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It's a collection of candy recipes which ranges from simple to more difficult, from chocolate to toffee to nut clusters. Some of the recipes are absolutely mouth-watering to read, and some are even relatively inexpensive. A few use corn syrup, which saddened me, but most stick to simple ingredients: sugar, liqueur, nuts, and chocolate.

I haven’t yet tried any of the recipes in here. I can see that I’ll have to keep a careful watch (& taste) in allowing for the differences in chocolate and cream between Britain and America.

Mr Hubig’s illustrations are charmingly reminiscent of the 1950s.
