Seamus McGraw is a regional treasure. He’s written and spoken about fracking and other profit-driven/screw-the-future assaults on the natural resources of our shared Northeastern Pennsylvania home. He’s supported other local artists (even though I’d never met him, he once took a good hour to talk with me about one of my own projects), and he’s tireless in fighting the good fight while making time to laugh.

Very funny and well constructed, with an unexpected suspenseful climax. I was moving to the edge of my chair even as I was laughing, a rare combination. I'll never look at a Shriner's clown car the same way.

Ever wonder how Rick Santorum got in a position of power? McGraw takes a fictionalized look at a politician with Santorum-like qualities in North Eastern PA and in this romp. Laugh out loud funny.
I am sorry to rate this with three stars. The writing is first rate, there is plenty of action and humor and the setting in Northeast PA is recognizable and hilarious. I know the neighborhoods and recognize the local institutions even though names have been changed. I would like to emphasize that if I were male, particularly if I were like many of the citizens of these parts, I would rate it a four or five-star read.
