With Octavia hot on my heels as always, I get to work trying to find the missing owner of the Ancients Agency. But soon it becomes clear that we desperately need help, and not just because a mysterious man in black is now chasing them.

I enlist some assistance from my best friend, Jamie, and together we get closer to the truth. It seems a military plot to control the local wolves might be to blame, but an unexpected connection to my own past really complicates matters too.

But the biggest complication of all might just be Kellen, whose destiny now appears to be irrevocably intertwined with my own. At least he’s fun to look at.

I have to say, "I fully understand and can empathize with Lexi," as far as the story blurb. I am in the same jobless position as I read this. Things keep getting more strange in this third book of the series! What happens when Joyce goes missing? Why is Lexi getting threats? What do we learn about her malfunctioning magic? Can it ever be fixed? Oh boy, I did not see some of the things coming that happened! Who is the double agent? I wondered until the end. What happened after the reveal was an even bigger shock.

The Ancients Society the actual law and order is shut down. lexie must figure out where the head has disappeared too. This is a fast moving mystery, hint of romance, murder and devious plot.
