I love Patricia Roberts knitting patterns and the premise of this book is so smart. Unfortunately, I think the organization of the book makes it hard to see how a simple substitution of yarn can completely change a sweater from a winter garment to a summer cover-up. Overlooking that, the patterns range from dense cables to intarsia, vests to cardigans, and are sumptuous and gorgeous. This is her most polished book but don't look here for instructions on technique. Most of the patterns are for knitters with experience and, to knit up most of these garments, one will need a heap of patience.

Mostly womens' sweaters. Interesting intarsia, cables, texture.

Lovely textural patterns, but a little too much bulk for the larger woman. Great idea to convert patterns for the various seasons though.
