"Blueprint for Black Power details a master plan for the power revolution necessary for Black survival in the 21st century. Blueprints posits that an African American/Caribbean/Pan-African bloc would be most potent for the generation and delivery of Black power in the United States and the World to counter White and Asian power networks. Wilson frames this imperative by deconstructing the U.S. elite power structure of government, political parties, think tanks, corporations, foundations, media, interest groups, banking and foreign investment particulars. Potentially strong Black institutions as the church, media and think tanks; industry; collectives such as investment clubs and credit unions; rotating credit associations such as Afrikan-originated esusu, tontine and partner are analyzed. Pan-Afrikanism, Black Nationalism, ethnocentrism and reparation are assessed, often misused and underused financial institutions as securities, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, underwriting, and incubators advocated, thus elucidating oft-negated opportunities for economic empowerment --- ---Dick Hertz"
This book is the Bible for Nationalists. Baba Wilson was clear and concise in identifying the problems and offering concrete solutions to the issues Blacks in American know they have. He demonstrated through this writing that it is ORGANIZED power that has been used against groups of people and the solution to tyranny and oppression is the organization of the terrorized and oppressed for power over their lives. It's conclusion is an undeniable FACT that people do and can have POWER when they organize themselves for it. Bellyaching, whining and complaining won't get it. Loved it!!
The title “Blueprint for Blackpower” speaks for itself in that it is a guide to understanding, analyzing and overcoming social constructs that inhibit collective empowerment for people of the African diaspora. It’s a powerful book that can be referred to for years to come as a teaching tool to transform lives with the ultimate goal of changing the trajectory of communities. It will open the reader’s mind to a deeper understanding of the African Americans’ plight in an economical and political context. One concept deeply engraved in this book is analyzing the African American population in the context of a nation. This perspective allows Dr.Wilson to succinctly place and assess the predicament African Americans are in and a vision to get out. Highly Recommended!
It is a very powerful book that dissects the real underbelly of social structure and privilege in this country. Plus having the a solution or UN-programming path of mental success as well as monitory freedom. This is not a one time read, it should be your life altering guide to living in this country as an American aside social restrains that have been built in the inner fiber of our world of which we live. But please understand that this book is not to bring a negative position of our follow man but to identify the lies and people who hate and try to restrict people in groups in society. You can learn to ignore those folks and live your life for the first time. this is a good read for all minorities not just African Americans.
Still not finished reading it. However, it is an exceptional literary work and it is a shame Black America don't value Dr. Wilson's writing and other Black scholars like White people value writers. Black Power is the blueprint for change. It's well written and thought out by Dr. Amos Wilson. Dr. Wilson left African Americans quality writing and thinking of the Age.
African Americans have their hands tide...in the one had they have their Black life and on the other hand they have had to deal with parasitic Racism over the generations all because Racism demands all life other than white must be subordinate to the White race, minuscule that they are.
What will blacks in the future do to counter Racism? It's unknown at this point. The writer believe the Black Power book along with Dr. Claude Anderson's books will help that's if Black conservatives have anything to do with it.
I would have given this book five stars. However, some of the points were redundant and the actual blueprint doesn't start until page 500. Here's a synopsis...all other races have exploited the black race all the while developing economic empowerment for themselves through cash flow and loan systems that they developed for themselves. They didn't rely on the American system of economic development through bank loans based on credit reports. Furthermore, the main point of the book.....buy black, bank black and stay black. Really didn't need 700 pages to state that.

This book have changed the way I view life as a so-called Black man living in North America. With that being a fact, this book should be in everyone's library especially if your a black person living in American. The Great Noble Dr. Amos N Wilson [RIP] created a book for our people to think in a different way and to survive within the system not become a part of it. I suggest that everyone should get this book no matter your ethic background may be, all races need to understand what black peoples struggles are in American and they should be able to assist us with the problems with face in North American (United State of American)
