This 1985 Pink Panther story is based on the cartoon characters. Pink Panther heads to a picnic for a special performance. He leaves son Panky in charge of his little brother Pinky. Panky's distractions leads to him losing Pinky. He does find his brother only to lose him again until he sees what the Pink Panther's surprise is!

The Pink Panther has two sons, and he told his son Pinky to take good care of his little brother Panky. The Pink Panther planned to have a surprise for them at the Picnic Surprise Show. Pinky gets busy with his friends and loses sight of Panky, whom they have to find before the show starts.

I remember the first time I saw an actual Pink Panther movie on TV and being so disappointed that it wasn't a cartoon :P
