Another excellent edition to this series. Reading the book in the Hebrew style (spine on right and flipping pages as if reading backwards) has made a strong impression on my student, as well as the parallel Hebrew and English text. He is really getting it that Hebrew is a different language, and he is also asking questions about translations.

He is also understanding the patriarchal role of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The story of Abraham spans over ten chapters and 8 specific times the LORD spoke to him. This book merely hits the highlights, but it's an excellent review/ reinforcement for young students. And the illustrations are WONDERFUL! They are colorful with a strong Mesopotamian feel. When asked to select an illustration to represent Abraham, my student immediately went to this book. He chose 7 of the 10 picture for consideration. After several minutes of discussion of each picture and what it contained about the story of Abraham, he was able to chose one!

This is a rare book, and we inter-library loaned it. I arrived a couple of weeks later from two states away. After seeing the quality of this book and the Babel one, we ordered several from the series. I am pleased to have them in our home library.

I was first introduced to this series through the Tower of Babel book, see my review here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
