Let's be honest, it was never going to be the greatest literary endeavour but as a book from my childhood it was a rip roaring war adventure yarn set against Nazi occupation of Norway. Wonderful use of descriptive words makes you wonder how many school essays it influenced, maybe even resulting in a great author or two? I also detect brief indications of a homosexual crush which I'm sure if not have spotted as a boy. Overall this book is great fun!!

I read this when I was eight, and remember it as a testosterone soaked slice of action.
