CHOOSE ME!

Nina doesn’t have just one dream boy–she has two: Zero and Ichî. Both are supercute wizards, who make her heart beat a little bit faster. But which boy is Nina actually falling for? When a second pair of wizards arrives from the Magical World, Nina learns a little bit more about Zero’s and Ichî’s mysterious past, and why they’re so intent on passing the magic exam at the wizards’ academy. And faster than you can say “taffy pull,” Nina finds herself caught in a tug-of-war between the two!

Nina is a junior high school girl who is looking for a sweet, caring and loving boy to fall in love with. What she didn't imagine was to come across two handsome and equally talented guys who have decided to protect her with their lives.

The story is going interesting and the bubbling romance will be fun to watch.

Hm. I enjoyed the first volume of Mamotte! Lollipop, but the second just did nothing for me. I'm sure it didn't help that most of the book is slapstick, light romantic comedy, and that it suddenly seques into a flashback scene that's actually pretty heavily melodramatic. But the truth is that I wasn't really into either one. I'm afraid it's the end of the series for me.

The art style improved a little, nice! I like that this volume delves a little into Ichii and Zero's past, it introduced new characters but retained its lunacy. I used to have a crush on Zero back in the day, I mean, what twelve year old doesn't like a thick-headed numbskull?? Also, shoujo tropes, shoujo tropes everywhere! We've checked off excessive blushing, cross-dressing, incest, a reformed bad boy, and hot-headed heroes.
Also, the fact that Ichii had to wonder if the care he felt for Nina was what sisterly love felt like because he'd been in love with his own sister just sent me into orbit. Also, Sarasa looks EXACTLY like Nina. I remembered a lot of things about this story, but the incest was not one of them.
I do like that Nina and Zero actually have some development. It's not all, "Ooh! Cute boy? Feelings!" (Ony most of it) But their bickering to feelings arc is making my inner middle-grader excited.

I'm enjoying this, man. Probably a little more than I should but fuck it. Nostalgia!

Teams :

-Ichii & Zero : 2 boys that befriended Nina

-San & Forte : Mixed-team, the boy is always kinda forced to wear girl's clothes

-Rokka & Gou : Rokka is 5 and has feelings for Ichii. Gou is the assistant of Rokka.

-Nanase & Yakumo (new team) : This team is composed of two boys including one who's transgender.

every time i read this series i think "i don't care to read about middle schoolers." but, it is so cute that i just pretend that all of the characters are older, and i move on. you get to meet new examinees, learn about how ichi and zero got together, and see ichi's first love. all pretty well done. in a lot of series that i read, this kind of character history is not so readily divulged. which is ashame, kikuta did it in a nice, clean cut sort of way, i wish others would follow suit.

I don't know why. I SERIOUSLY now LOVE this series! It's amazing! I also love the author's little notes all over in the book. I think I'm going to use the first book of this series for my 2nd semester book talk. I don't want to do a book talk, because it involves standing up in front of my peers and talking by myself. But, I have to.

Well this volume is more cheesy than the previous one, on it we can see two new characters, algo we saw the develop of the love between Ichi and Nina also we see a little of the past of Zero and Ichi is a very interesting volume.

Super-cute boy magicians from the wizard world have dropped into Ninas lap--literally. Will one of them be the boy of her dreams?

Didn't enjoy the second volume as much as the first but it's still worth a read.
