Glad we got more backstory, but I'm ready for this series to be over with the next volume.

Model Vol. 6 starts out with a blank canvas. Even though Jae loves Michael, she doesn’t know if her feelings are returned. And she still doesn’t understand Michael enough to paint a picture of him that satisfies her artistic vision. Meanwhile, Michael has decided to send Jae away. He gives her a mere two weeks to finish the painting and be gone from his life, forever. That means that she has a very short window of time to unravel the secrets that bind everyone together, and the ways that the past has come back to haunt them. Something is wrong with Ken. And Adrian is smack dab in the middle of everything.

Ugh this series... it can be so confusing, especially when Adrian has like 3 forms and at least own or two of them look like Michael... wasn’t shocked at all to find out Ken is the offspring of Adrian and Eva, though the not having a soul thing was interesting. Though it’s amusing that it was sort of forgotten he’s part supernatural after the first (?) volume... At least it was explained why Michael turned him and that Ken had wanted it (at least at one point). And we finally find out that Jae actually painted!!! But actually *seeing* her paint (or try) would have been a lot better... and now Michael is admitting he loves Jae too and they can live unhappily ever after!!! *eye roll*. Seriously, this whole series is a giant dumpster fire.. no that is better bc at least that keeps you warm. How The hell did this series go on for SEVEN volumes? I can’t believe standards were that bad twenty years ago.

The writing of this series is getting worst each page passing, so I'll happily leave it at this point even if what I've read are free scans available online (don't pay real money for this because it's not worth it). It's really a shame because the second and third book gave me the Kamen Rider Kiva/Changerion vibes I was searching for (I got interested in this series because my worship of Kamen Rider Kiva as one of the best tokusatsus ever written in history, together with Changerion and, in some parts, the very good Chojin Sentai Jetman) but, unfortunately, not only those vibes are completely gone now but also the thing is completely getting out of control and it's clear the inexperienced writer of this mahwa had no friggin' idea of what she was doing and made things on the spot with no coherent vision to speak of. Avoid with no remorse whatsoever.

I wasn’t a fan of this series. I was just bored most of the time. I do have to say I liked the ending. But for the most part I never got into the story line. There were too many sudden character switches in the story line with, there was zero transitions. It was hard to follow at times. The art didn’t help much. It wasn’t horrible, but the male characters all looked the same and with some of the shadings it was hard to tell if it was the main male character or a different male character. I’m a fan of supernatural shoujo, but I only finished reading this series was because I had hopes it was just slow and would catch my interest by the end.

Ugh. This was really hard to follow. Barely anything made sense. It just jumps around with no real direction, or maybe I'm just an idiot. Idk, but I didn't like it. 🤷🏻♀️ I've got the final volume so I might as well read it.

I love how in like every volume there is a shot of Michael shirtless with something loosely draped around him, lol.

I enjoyed this more than the last volume (although the cover isn't anywhere as nice), but I was constantly confusing characters with each other, especially Eva and Jae, which caused a lot of confusion lolol. We get to understand all of the characters more, and we get a really nice scene between Michael and Jae towards the end. Let's hope the series has a strong finish with the last volume.

If you thought plot line would be wrapping up in this penultimate installment, then you're right. However, we get a ton of new ones as well. Eva and Ken's past is much more tragic than we knew before. We understand more about Michael's maker as well. One of Jae's suitors makes a hugely bold move, but it ends in more heartbreak. Adrian, a mysterious force throughout the series thus far, seems to have all of the answers. How will everything pan out in the end?
The story lines are fairly balanced which I like. We get a lot of focus on Eva, Ken, and Adrian's backstory that explains the deal with the souls. Even still, it isn't that extensive or deep, but I'm glad to have had some explanation. Based on all of the tragedy I do hope to see the characters find some sort of happy ending. So much despair behind so much beauty.
The story isn't the most original, and the men are drawn so beautifully to the point of where they look like women, at least if they have long hair. The art style isn't really my favorite as the features are a bit disproportionate for my tastes, but it didn't hinder my enjoyment of the series. Jae's character could be worse. She makes pretty stupid decisions, but I do like that she stands up for herself every so often. And she certainly has her dedication to art. You can't deny that. This being the penultimate volume, she is still consistent with what she wants which I like. It's usually really annoying to see a conflicted heroine. Characters like Eva grew on me as well. Though she's not admirable, there is at least more to her than we originally thought.
I purchased the whole series at once on Ebay for about $30. It was an excellent deal and I've gladly kept every one. It is FAR from the best series, but I've certainly read worse.

6th volume of 7 of this gothic drama. We learn that Ken is the biological son of Eva and Adrian, a spirit. He has no soul so Eva shares one of hers with him. Ken proposes to Jae who refuses because she's still in love with Michael. Sketchy and confusing. Adrian is a complete enigma and if I'm not very much mistaken keeps changing his appearance just to make things even more difficult to follow.
I like the idea of a hybrid human spirit child having no soul and the dual soul idea of humans is also intriguing. However the story of this manga is like tracle, slow to wade through and obscure. Not keen on the artwork either. I really dislike the stylized stick limbs/bodies and find the angular, androgynous faces confusing as they all look so similar.
Not my favourite vampire manga by a long shot, this particular volume is slightly more interesting plotwise than earlier installments.

This volume was pretty weak, especially considering the strength of the previous volumes. Jae fails to finish her painting, and there's drama; Michael is trying to kick her out, and there's drama. We get more backstory about Eva, Ken, and Adrian, but honestly I'm a little bored with all that now. The love triangle between Ken, Jae, and Michael is really lopsided because Ken always feels like a physical threat rather than an actual choice. Then we finally get Jae's admission of feelings for Michael and his response, but it feels a bit truncated. The story threads keep cutting into one another to provoke tension, but really it just feels messy.

The Model series has proven to be addictive! The artwork is fantastic, the characters are dynamic, and the end of each book keeps you begging for more. The series is also short, only 7 books, so its worth a read. For those of you who love vampires, look into this series.

Wow! Finally the pieces of the puzzle of Ken, Eva and Michael’s past fall into place. Michael’s motivations are so much clearer. And finally Ken, Eva and Michael’s characters have crystallized. This volume is not to be missed!

So much happening, but I don't care. I mean, I kinda like the plot and even the characters a bit, but I don't really connect to them. This manga seems interesting, but soulless.
