Tar the ruler of Zylan has been looking for this lifemate.
With the help of Mica, the high priest he finds her on earth.
Nyssa just lost her job and with all the stress and worry about her future she falls into a deep sleep. When she wakes up she has very delicate chains hanging from certain parts of her body.
Tar explains to her that they are on the way to Zylar, that the chains that go through her body are used to sexually arouse her, that she has to be submissive , obey him and sexually satisfy him. He just has to think what he want to do to her and she can feel everything as he demonstrated to her several times. Nyssa is pretty ticked off. She has no intention of becoming obedient. She realizes that if the chain link can help Tar arouse her, feel her emotions and thoughts maybe she can do the same to him. Tar is schocked when Nyssa turns the tables on him. After promising her to listen to her and value her opinion they finally declare a truce. After Nyssa overhears Tar tell Mica that he is just humouring her until he has her trained Nyssa escapes to the Selven Refuge with Tar's sister. Now the chase is on. This was a very erotic and at times funny story.
SELVEN REFUGE
Tala has been in love with Mica forever. Since he has never claimed her as his lifemate she deceides to go to Selven Refuge before any other male can claim her. Once she becomes a Selven Priestess the delicate chains will come off and no man can ever claim her.
Mica loves her and can't understand that she is hiding from him. He intends to go after her when he is notified that his brother has been injured and that he is needed to save him. Now Mica has to decide whether he goes after Tala and claim her as his mate or does he go and save his brothers life.

I must say I enjoyed "Zylar's Moons" which consists of Ravyn Wilde's first two books in her Zylar's Moons series very, very much. It wasn't quite five stars for me, but very close and I just ordered the next book in the series to find out what's happening next! This series a an erotic futuristic/science fiction fantasy mix that has plenty of hot sex, but also an ongoing story line that's very fantasy oriented. It's a mix that I found fascinating and sexy at the same time.
"Zylan Captive"-Nyssa had a bad day yesterday. She lost her job and although she didn't drink to excess last night, she can't quite figure out what the HELL is going on? She wakes up in a strange place, with an incredibly sexy, but still a stranger, man standing over her with CHAINS running from some very sensitive areas of her body. Ooookay. Now Mr. Hottie is explaining that he's an alien, she's on a different planet, can't go home, and oh by the way, she's now some kind of SEX TOY?! Well, if he thinks she's just going to become Mrs. Submissive, he's got another thing comin'!
Tar is the ruler of Zylar. It's time for him to find his Companion and raise some little future rulers. With a little help from his high priest, his Companion is located on Earth. Now he'll just run get her and give her the training she'll need to become a proper, submissive mate and Companion. No problem, right?
I found myself snorting and laughing and sighing and getting just a tad overheated while reading this story. I found myself cheering for Nyssa as she turns the tables on Tar and tries to bring a little equality for the sexes to Zylar. There are a couple of subplots that kept me flipping the pages and hoping the author writes quickly.
"Selven Refuge"-Mica is the high priest of Zylar and he's known that Tar's sister Tala is his Companion for many years now. In his infinite wisdom, he's graciously given her an extra five years of freedom in an effort to mellow her views on submissive Companions and the requirements of her future. Maybe those extra years were a wee bit of a mistake?
Tala is sick and tired of loving Mica. If she were his Companion, surely he would have picked up on her hints before now and she has no intention of hanging around to watch him with some other woman. So she decides to join the order of Selven Goddesses and have her Companion chains removed forever which will give her sexual freedom and a place to refine her psychic talents. But what will Tala do when Mica finally shows up to claim her?
Even good guys can be a bit thick sometimes. Mica is the kind of hero you just want to lap up with a spoon. The interactions between these two weren't as humorous as the first book, but the continuing storyline and subplots had me enjoying this one just as much. Now I have to wait for the postman to bring me book three!

4 stars and 2 ½ stars for two stories. If you’re looking for a lot of erotic sex, it’s pretty good.
There is a vocabulary page in the back of the book which needed to be in front. I did not know it existed until too late. I was confused a number of times, and I would have looked up several words if I had known about it.

Wow. Great sex. I almost felt like I was experiencing it. The story was fine.
STORY BRIEF:
Tar is ruler of the planet Zylar. On Zylar, when a man finds his life mate, chains emerge from under his skin and attach to his nipples and other places. The same happens to the female. He can cause sexual feelings in his mate without touching her. Occasionally a life mate is found on another planet. The high priest Mica locates Nyssa on earth as being Tar’s life mate. Mica creates links for Tar to place on Nyssa. Nyssa recently was laid off from her job and has no family. Tar travels to earth, connect the links to her body, and takes her to his planet. There she learns about the links and their society. Women are to be submissive. Nyssa is not and causes some changes.

Mica is six years older than Tala. He has been a friend to her since she was a child. When Tala was twelve, Mica realized that she was his life mate. For the next thirteen years, he never told her, and he never followed his feelings for her. During that time, Tala was attracted to Mica but did not know that they were life mates. Tala is sad because she believes Mica rejects her, and she knows she will never love another man. Therefore she decides to join the Selven women who have their chains permanently removed from their bodies and live like nuns. After announcing this, Tala repeatedly hides from Mica until she’s ready to leave. Since he can’t find her, he can’t tell her that they are life mates. When Tala finally goes to the Selven women, Mica can’t go after her because of an emergency needing his healing talents (causing further suspense).
REVIEWER’S OPINION:
I did not like the plot or sources of conflict. Too much of the story was about characters not following their feelings and making inaccurate assumptions about each other (two of my pet peeves). When Mica finally decides to be honest and show his feelings he can’t, because Tala is always hiding from him. Her reasons for hiding did not make sense. Mica’s reason for thirteen years of secrecy was that he wanted Tala to have a chance to grow up independently. But I didn’t buy it, because having knowledge of her future mate shouldn’t prevent her from growing into herself. The story was hard to like. During the thirteen year delay, Mica had sex with other women. If he had told Tala they were life mates, it would have been against the rules for him to have sex with others. Somehow he got around this which was not explained well. I found him deceptive and untrustworthy, and I didn’t like him because of it. On the positive, most of the sex scenes were very good.
