I learned about a book, Our Sisters in the Bible, when learning about Acts 2 at www.gospeldoctrine.com The topic fascinated me. When I went to Amazon to order the book, I found this other book, Our Sisters in the Latter-day Scriptures, by the same author, so I bought both books. Through this book I saw women in the scriptures in a whole new light and have so much more appreciation for the influence (good AND bad) women can have---an influence that can have a tremendous effect beyond their seemingly small circle of influence.

Loved the insights into the importance of women in general and of specific examples in the lives of women and families they impacted in the scriptures and in the lives of Joseph Smith's family, which I didn't know before reading.
