In this children's book, Rosh Hashanah is portrayed as a celebration of the world's birthday! Challahs and honey cakes, family and the start of the new year. Lovely.

Upon hearing that Rosh Hashanah is "the birthday of the world," a boy named Daniel decides that he wants to throw it a birthday party.

Overall not too profound, but cute. My favorite parts were Daniel's "birthday card" of the Six Days of Creation, and the wind blowing out the birthday candles.
