Lord Have Mercy Part III: Rising Sun

Rate this book
In the wake of the devastating conclusion of Lord Have Mercy Part Fortunate Son, the whole club rushes to track down young Remy, and the man who abducted him. Dark threats stalk the Lean Dogs, and it’s going to take lies, deceptions, and bold risks to bring Remy home. Ava’s reached her breaking point – but she’s her own breed of monster, and in this case, the break makes her absolutely ruthless.

Rising Sun is the third installment of the four-part Dartmoor Series Book Ten. It’s not a standalone, and must be read after parts one and two, available now. Be on the lookout for the fourth and final installment, Big Son, coming soon.

SCREAMS!!!

Come on Lauren, these cliffy's are killing me. "sigh"....

Superb writing, this woman can depict a story better than Remy Lecuyer himself. The emotions, the strength and let's say it "fuck it" attitude is amazing.

What?!?!

Oh my goodness, part 3 was so worth the wait. I fear the repercussions of decisions made and I'm not sure how or even if recovery can happen at this point. Sometimes things just can't be undone. I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens next!

Unputdownable

Lauren Gilley never fails to deliver and her Lean Dogs series is one of the best series I've ever read....nobody brings the characters in a story to life the way she does. This new installment of Lord Have Mercy is no exception.

Of all the things that have happened in the Dartmoor series this instalment seems the most far fetched. Weird huh? But, I trust in the process and, knowing the author, everything will work out and be amazing. I hope.

Five stars since I love the series and I enjoyed the book, it was superbly written as always.
But there's a but. Sometimes, you can have too much of a good thing. And in the same book (if you count all the parts as the same book which I do) was a bit too much. Furthermore, while Mercy's was kinda believable, the second one didn't make any logical sense and had giant repercussions.
Also, it didn't bother me, but was surprised that for the first time I've spotted two tiny logical errors in the book. Funnily enough, it made me feel better about myself, since now I know that it happens to the best of us :-).
Anyway, can't wait for the part four, it can't come fast enough.

Okay if you don't like an ending

In all fairness this series is clearly built on cliff hangers. But this. while well written. was just not for me. When dealing with possible child abuse I don't want to wait for closure. So while I have enjoyed and bought most of her other books I would have preferred to have read this continuous series to the end.

Another great installment. Gilley's writing is as always masterful and full of imagery. I love all the Lean Dogs and their families but can we hear it for Ava Lecuyer?!?! Can't wait to see how this story wraps up in part four.

OMG

This just keeps getting better, this is crazy I love your books I could have never guessed at this turn of events. Ava has got a lot to tell Mercy, and Maggie I feel so bad for her not being able to tell Aiden what's really going on. Your books are intense

Reading this in parts is killing me!!!! Again, hopefully don't have to wait long for the next one. That ending had me cursing because I would have to wait. Whatever is going to happen in New Orleans is going to be big.

This book is a segue to the final book in this series. Plans are being made. Lies are being told on multiple fronts. Action to implement some plans have started. The actual completion of the plan or conflict does not occur.

Another great read

Some surprising turns with this one. I love Ava and Mercy, but especially the Lean Dogs. They're my favorite white knight villians. Can't wait for the next book.

whew!

The third part of 4 part story is always a bit of backfill leading up to the final showdown. Still totally engaging and I cannot wait for the finale!!

OMG. Five stars since I love the Dartmoor series and I really enjoyed Rising Sun, part III of book X Lord Have Mercy.

This installment, more than any of the others, shows some of the strongest men at their absolute lowest, which gives the ladies a chance to shine as the true steel backbone of not only their individual families, but the club as a whole.Ava’s gone full Terminator… but the others are holding the Lean Dogs together while Ava has her own little stone-cold reverse breakdown.

So much happens in this book and I’m both excited and worried for what’s coming in the fourth and final installment, Big Son. Coming soon.

Straight onto the fourth and final book now.

Brilliant.

I loved this book (like the previous two) and can’t wait for the final part.

I’m not saying anything about the book. It would hard not to give something away. You’re better just reading.
