USA Today Bestselling author, Shelley lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband and a rambunctious puppy.

Typical New Zealanders, Shelley and her husband left home for their big OE soon after they married (translation of New Zealand speak - big overseas experience). A year long adventure lengthened to six years of roaming the world. Enduring memories include being almost sat on by a mountain gorilla in Rwanda, lazing on white sandy beaches in India, whale watching in Alaska, searching for leprechauns in Ireland, and dealing with ghosts in an English pub.

While travel is still a big attraction, these days Shelley is most likely found in front of her computer following another love - that of writing stories of romance and adventure. Other interests include watching rugby and rugby league (strictly for research purposes), being walked by the dog, and curling up with a good book.

4 Star Misbehavior
In an act of disobedience, Charlotte Dixon attends one the social events of the year, a masquerade costume ball and lets her naughtiness escalate into one night of anonymous passion that makes her yearn for a different life. But then it’s back to her dull routine. She doesn’t have time for a man if she wants to reinvent herself, so she’s shocked when she meets her masked man in the flesh and he’s determined to win his princess.

This sexy romp of a romance is a spicy heartfelt fairytale that blends a little bit of ‘Cinderella’ and little bit of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and composes its own beautiful music in a wonderfully sexy and titillating modern fairytale that readers can’t help but envy. The romance is sweet, passionate and full of sizzling chemistry but the relationship is full of emotional turmoil and family misconduct that tries to keep this couple from reaching the happily ever after that they so obviously deserve.

The plot is fast paced and keeps readers glued to the pages in expectation of just how this fairy tale will end. The strong group of characters involved makes it easy for readers to picture Charlotte and Ashes lives which in turn makes it easy to really get to know the characters and become engaged in this rich, sensual, and very enjoyable romance.

Charlotte Dixon never imagined that the costume ball she went to would end up with her sleeping with a man she can't get out of her head. Ash Marlborough is used to women balking at his scars but when the beauty he would up with in his arms had no clue who he was or that his scars had nicknamed him The Beast.

Ash is on the verge of hiring an investigator when Charlotte walks into his office for a job interview, he knows it is her. For the first time in his life he wants more than a couple dates, he wants Charlotte forever but with the stepmother from hell trying to keep them apart he is biding his time until Charlotte understands what she really means to him.

I understood that Charlotte was treated horribly and second guessed Ash's intentions but it went on a little longer than I thought it would. Ash is great, he was an intriguing character. Fun read.

Charlotte lives with her stepmother and two stepsisters. Also her step-grandmother who she looks after. When her father died, there was nowhere else for her to go. She was about eight at the time. The stepmother and stepsisters treated her like a slave while she ran the household and took care of the old lady. Her and the old lady loved each other dearly. Ash is very rich and his face is badly scarred from a childhood fire. He and Charlotte met at a charity ball. Still wearing their masks, they had a very hot night together. Ash is fascinated by her and hopes to meet her again. Fabulous story and I loved, loved it.

This was an awesome story. You can definitely taste the Cinderella story in the background with the evil step-mom and step-sisters and the fairy Godmother is a wonderful step-grandmother, and her friends. The characters were wonderfully constructed and the story takes you on a magic carpet ride of emotions. You feel sorry, excited, scared, furious, tentative, ecstatic, sorrow, devastation. From the highest highs to the lowest lows.

Charlotte goes to a fancy masked ball, forced by her loving grandmother. Her grandmother and friends gifted her with a beautiful apricot colored ballgown. There she meets and falls for the masked Zorro. They spend every minute of the ball dancing together and then afterwards in his hotel room. They never exchanged names let alone phone numbers. The next morning she is back to waiting on her ungrateful and demanding step-mother and step-sisters. Charlotte gave up college to care for her ailing step-grandmother, but she does it with a loving heart because she really loves her grandmother. She is the only one who cares for Charlotte since her beloved father died. She stays and puts up with the abuse so she can be with her grandmother. When a job comes up at a advertising company that one of the step-sisters works at, her grandmother gets her a last minute interview. She doesn't feel that she is qualified, but she goes and is offered the job, not from the boss, but from the others that interviewed her because of her fresh view of things in her portfolio. During the interview, she sees her missing rose from her ballgown and realizes that the owner of the company is her Zorro.

Ash is the owner of the most prestigious advertising company in New Zealand. He built it from the ground up. He was badly burned in a fire when he was a child where he lost his mother. His father raised him to not give into the depression that could eat him alive and make him into a hermit. He was to get out there and live as though his skin, and face, was perfect, even when people couldn't look him in the eye or cringed. His grandmother told him to dance with the Apricot Princess at the masked ball, and she was right. The Princess was everything he would want in a woman. Until they went their own way and he never got her name. He is about to hire a PI when she walks into his office and stares at the apricot rose from her gown. His team make the decision to hire her, and then he finds out about her family. He wants to protect her and care for her since she is the only woman who can look him straight in the eye and not seem to see either his scars or dollar signs. She sees him for who he is, not his money. Now he has to protect her from the paparazzi.

Charlotte never thought fairy tales were real, until she ended up in her own. She attended a ball against her stepmother's orders and met the man of her dreams. Ash Marlborough is an advertising mogul and used to women throwing themselves at him thanks to his money and reputation. However, he was in a fire when he was young and has scars that cause people to cringe. Ash's grandmother tells him to look for the princess and that's how he meets Charlotte. I loved their grandmothers' meddling. Between the two they didn't stand a chance. Of course there is Elizabeth, Charlotte's wicked stepmother and two stepsisters. Jenny is the younger of the two and just as mean and conniving as her mother. I was really glad Ash wasn't just going to let Charlotte get away after everything Elizabeth and Jenny did to stop them from connecting. Charlotte was kinda mousy in the beginning, never standing up for herself and just letting her future slip away. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the fact that Elizabeth never really had any consequences for all her dastardly actions. Jenny got what was coming to her and Rachel wasn't such a villain after all. Perfect "happily ever after" ending. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Charlotte stays at home is cares for her step family and takes care of the house. However on the night of the masked ball she sneaks out and decides to go since no one will know she went with her wearing a mask. She has an amazing night with Ash Marlborough and disappears before he wakes the next morning. Ash knows he wants to find the woman he was with that night so he plans to hire a private investigator. However fate works in he favor when his woman walks into his office for an interview. Charlotte can't believe that Ash knows its her and is excited about the job however when she gets home her step family take all the excitement away. Will Charlotte and Ash get to be together? Will her step family take everything from her?

This is a great fairytale like story that will captivate you like no other. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Will Charlotte have her happily ever after
This is my first book by Shelley and I will definitely be looking for more books by the author. This is a Cinderella theme book where the main characters grandmothers play fairy godmother as Ash is told to look for a princess in the apricot dress (Charlotte) at the masked ball. Charlotte is mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters, but stays to take care of her grandmother who she is not even related too. When Charlotte walks through Ash’s door to interview for a position in his company, they each learn who the other is after Charlotte spots her missing rose from her costume on his desk. Charlotte is offered the position but later declines it because of her grandmother’s failing health. But when Charlotte needs a job and a place to stay, will Ash be her savior in every way? You have to read to find out and will love the way Ash brings out the best in Charlotte.

I know if you've read one, you've read them all; but this one will hot you in the heart. She's the type of girl that doesn't let life tarnish her outlook on life or how she treats others, though no one would blame her if she did. She still sees the beauty in the ugly around her because of all the ugly the world keeps throwing at her. It may have forced her to build walls to protect her heart from love and hurry, but it's not going to stop her from subconsciously wanting to be free to be herself. He is scarred, but she sees him for who he is. These two have chemistry and the world may try to keep them apart but their attraction for one another can't be stopped. It's a sweet romance that will have your heart clinching and you wishing for HEA

Good read about a self made millionaire and lonely young woman who are pushed together by their grandmother's. Ash was burned in a fire when young and has scaring on his face and body and has been given the nickname, the Beast by an ex girlfriend. Charlotte is like Cinderella as her father has passed away and her stepmother and her daughters treat her pretty awful. The grandmother is not her real grandmother but loves Charlotte as her own grandchild.
They get together at a masquerade ball which her grandmother has sent her too and he knows he wants to find her afterwards to continue the relationship. He doesn't have to look for her as she walks into his business applying for a designer position in his company. Lots of very descriptive sex in this book but still a good story about two people who should be together. They complete one another.

Nice Take on Cinderella

While this was a nice take on the Cinderella story with just enough romance, there were just enough grammatical errors to throw me off while reading a few times This book was a quick read that I finished in one evening, which I appreciated, but didn’t seem to move though the storyline too quickly considering it’s shorter length. Having a lead male who’s appearance is not 1,000% flawless and he’s not the stereotypical Prince Charming was a great detail as well! There were a handful of times when I was a little confused as to which character the dialogue was coming from, but there were just enough details to give you an image of the characters and scenes with plenty of room for imagination to fill the gaps.

Charlotte didn't realise that going to a masked ball would result in a night spent with a sizzling hot Zorro. Then it was back to a life of looking after her grandmother and being the dogsbody for her stepmother and her stepsisters. Her grandmother insisted that she went to a job interview, and she was stunned to find out that she was interviewing with her hot Zorro. She gets the job, but has to withdraw after her grandmother becomes ill. Can Ash convince her that he is interested in her.

This book is a modern take on the Cinderella story, with a few twists in the tale. It was responsible for my very late night.

A Formidable Cinderella
A contemporary Cinderella storyline that had a really really evil stepmother and sisters. Cinderella, played by a Charlotte and Ash who played by the Prince met at a charity ball where they hooked up for one night. Then her grandmother arranged for her to be interviewed for a graphic design position which turns out to be for Ash’s company. They form a formidable force to deal with the steps. The ending is unique and I loved it.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.

Fairytales come to life in this story, but not just Cinderella, I can also think there's a little Beauty & the Beast twist added in. Charlotte is definitely in need of rescuing but not only just from her step-family but also from her own lack of self-worth, I felt sorry for her, she's such a compassionate person. Ash is determined to be her Prince Charming and he is patient with her. With him and her feisty side, she blossoms. Great couple, their chemistry is off the charts and although the relationship starts with misbehavior their road to forever is an entertaining roller-coaster ride. This is a great story. I love reading anything by Shelley Munro. I loved this new story.

Charlotte spent a wonderful night with a masked man. She went to a masked ball. Her life hasn't been wonderful. Her only saving grace was her Gran. When she goes for a job interview, she is surprised to see her masked man again. Ash is stunned to see the woman he spent the night with. They had incredible chemistry. Ash and Charlotte start spending more time together but her family wants to keep them apart. Will they be able to work things out to find their happy ending?

One Night Of Misbehavior by Shelley Munro is a fabulous read. Ms. Munro has given us a well-written book packed with outstanding characters. Charlotte stays home and takes care of her step-grandmother. She's a regular Cinderella, cleaning and cooking for her step-mother and step-sisters. Ash is the owner of an advertising agency. Charlotte and Ash's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and suspense. I enjoyed reading this fun book and look forward to reading more from Shelley Munro soon. One Night Of Misbehavior is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

This is a modern Cinderella novel, but begins where the Disney tale leaves off. The ball was over when the book started and it didn’t take long at all for the Price to find her, so most of the book was her building her relationship with her man and navigating the treachery of her stepmother and stepsisters.

I did want her to grow a backbone, but I can understand her reasons for not standing up for herself.

I normally like Munro's book better than this one but I didn't care for the voice in Charlotte's head. In paranormal books I expect the voice but it just seemed weird in this one. This was kind of a mix between Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. I liked Ash. He was flawed yet loving and caring. I had mixed feelings about Charlotte. She was a sweet, caring woman but only stood up for herself when "Miss Feisty" spoke in her head. The book had plenty of steam and a definite twist on Cinderella but overall, I wasn't in love with the story.

This book is another quirky story by Shelley Munro. It’s an interesting version of Cinderella. Charlotte meets Ash at a masquerade ball and, well, you know the rest of the story. There were parts where I became annoyed with her but Charlotte has her inner “Ms. Feisty” who gets her through some tough spots. The emotional side of the story was somewhat flat, but the reader is led to recognize their attraction to each other. The ending is worth reading the book for and left me cheering for the main characters.

Charlotte stays home to take care of her grandmother. Her stepmother and stepsisters treat her terribly. She has to do all the cleaning and cooking besides caring for her grandmother. She goes to a masked ball and ends up having a one night stand and can't stop thinking about the man she had it with. Ash runs his own advertising company. He has scars on the outside from a fire. He goes to the masked ball and has a one stand but he can't get the woman out of his mind. Can these two find each other?

I enjoyed the story of Charlotte and Ash, although I do wish the insecureties and poor communication could have been tampered down a little. I do understand it was a modern version of a Cinderella story, but I wish Charlotte could have been just a little more forth comming and trusting, and I wish Ash had been better at talking to her. But all in all I did like this take on the Cinderella story and I enjoyed the writers style so I will be looking for more books from this writer!

A cross-over of Beauty and the Beast & Cinderella with heat.💞❤️️💞

This story is so fun to read! Charlotte and Ash make a fun couple with enough passion between them to burn down the house. Whew!💗🔥💕

Charlotte lets her Grandmother convince her to go to a masked costume ball, where she meets Ash and they have one sizzling evening together. But when they forget to exchange names and information, ash thinks he's going to have to hire someone to find her. The fates, however, have other plans for them.😉❣️

1.5 snooze stars.

Way too tame. And slow. And uneventful. I wanted to give up every page after the halfway mark. Somehow I powered through.

And this ain't love.

Ash kept flipping back and forth between what he believed about Charlotte's intentions with him when obviously he should be full on suspicious because I've seen zero non-cliché reason on why Charlotte is with him. She literally spits out cliché bullshit at him and expects him to believe her. Honey, I don't even believe you. Why does he?

I'm not really a fan of the whole fairytale retelling genre so while I'm a fan of the author I was cautious about this book. I didn't need to be as I absolutely enjoyed it from beginning to end. Yes, the heroine is taken advantage of by the 'steps" but it didn't have that whole fantasy vibe which turns me off. While the characters may not have always been the most believable (again - fairytale), they aren't simple characters & are have been written with care. A great standalone story.

A Cinderella Beauty and the Beast mashup.

Charlotte Dixon has a dreadful stepmother Elizabeth who spent every cent of her inheritance. She’s got a horrid jealous fiend in Jenny.

What she gets is a scarred beast with a heart of gold she meets at a masked ball. Ash. They are hooking up.

She’s get the guy, the job but will it all come crashing down when truths are revealed?

A steamy twist on the fairytale.

A modern day Cinderella meets Beauty and the Beast complete with the evil stepmother. Despite his player reputation and past, Ash is the type of man most women dream about. Charlotte is the caring person that most men want to date. Together they are perfect for each other and this make for a really enjoyable read. This is a must read book for all the romantics.

This was such a great read for me it had a lightness and ease to it. It was full of humour, sadness, love, grief, chemistry, real life, sincerity, hopes, dreams and beautiful connections. I wish it had been longer because everything was wonderful and I wanted more! Ash and Charlotte were both strong and vulnerable characters, they felt real to me and I loved them, Ash is my new book boyfriend.
