Love on Location is a short story about a location scout who falls in love with the owner of the house she just rented for a miniseries shooting. The owner was a former child star who doesn't believe in love.

There is nothing original about the premises of Love on Location. It's very cliched so don't go expecting anything else. To me it was a palate cleanser, exactly what I needed after reading a book I didn't really enjoy. It

At First Sight: Everything seems to be falling into place for Shayna, a location scout who is about to become location manager of a production for the first time in her career - a move that will take her one step closer to her dream of working in Hollywood. All she needs to do is find the perfect house for a high profile mini-series and the manager job is hers.

Luckily, she just found the perfect house, un-luckily the house's owner (and it's architect) wants nothing to do with the entertainment b

I’m on a bit of a show business fiction kick at the moment if you haven’t noticed! There are so many wonderful stories that revolve around the glamour, fashion and mystery of what happens behind the camera. Love on Location takes a different aspect of this business – its heroine is a location scout and hero the owner of The Perfect House for a new series. It’s also an Australian setting, which was even more interesting to me because it’s a much smaller industry and I’ve been to similar places th ...more

Love on Location was a delicious, fast-paced novella set in Australia. Shayna Drake is a location scout whose dream has always been to be a location manager in Hollywood. But when she meets the sexy Lachlan Deverill, a former child-star turned award-winning architect, will she trade one dream for another?

My first love when it comes to books will always be the romance. I grew up reading Harlequins and Silhouettes that I snuck f

*3 and a 1/2 stars*

I generally don’t read a lot of novellas. I find it hard to get into them because I long for the depth of plot and characters only a full length novel can provide. With this in mind, I was very impressed with Baxter’s lead characters. Shayna is bright and bubbly and a very likeable heroine, and she had unexpected depth beneath her sunny personality. Lachlan? He’s not so likeable. At least not at first anyway. I quite enjoy a moody lead male, it makes for interesting reading. L

In this cute, rom-com novella we find Shayna scouting a location for a new film, and Lachlan being reluctant to let her use his home. It's a novella, so if I give any more away I'll be telling you the whole story! Suffice it to say, Shayna and Lachlan think they're getting into a casual fling, but their hearts have other ideas.

I liked that Shayna and Lachlan both really did want the same things. They truly believed they wouldn't fall in love - ever - and had no emotional expectations of each ot

Cute, fun, sweet romance. Shayna was a great heroine. She's kind and generous, dedicated to her job, to people she cares about. I thought her job - and the role it plays in the plot - was really interesting and illuminates the type of girl she is, and how important movies are in her life. Lachlan first appears to be a surly, grumpy guy but as the story progresses we get to know what kind of guy he really is, a talented, compassionate guy. And he has an awesome house.

Shayna and Lachlan are so mu

Love on Location is a delightful modern romance set in Pittwater, a northern suburb of Sydney. Breathtaking views of the waterway and national park, an idyllic location.

Shayna works her magic on Lachlan talking him into allowing the film crew to move in while he moves to the boat house, allowing him to keep in contact with Shayna.

Love on Location also takes a subtle look at relationships. Lachlan who was a child actor is estranged from his parents and issues with the way he was raised. The jealo

Shayna meets Lachlan, former teenage heart-throb when she wants to use his house in a new TV show. Lachlan wants no part in television any more and dares Shayna to convince him. Lachlan doesn’t make her job easy and I think he is playing a little hard to get; That is where the fun starts.

Shayna and Lachlan are both looking for soul mates but is unsure if true love really exists; until they meet each other and feel the bond that transcends the physical.

Love on location is an adorable novella set

This book is a novella so I expected a predictable storyline and it was. Though the characters are very well written and the happily ever after was just right. I was expecting more from this Rom Com. I took off a star because of the predictablility and the lack of comedy. It's definatly a fun read for those looking for the happily ever after.

The book is pretty cute and a fun, fast read.

I liked the characters and the plot, even though it was a little predictable and ended Happily Ever After like a good romance should.

It's not the best romance I've ever read, I would rate it in the top third.
