Murphy Darinzo's life becomes complicated when a new girl, Ashley Douglas, provides stiff competition for him in his "gifted" class and his father puts him on a seemingly wacky health regimen
Right after I graduated HS, my father and I moved into a small old house that had been vacant for years. It was winter and we didn’t have a means of transportation yet. We spent the first two weeks cleaning up the place. I found a copy of this book in a cupboard, damp and caked with dust. We didn’t have internet or cable at the time so it was a little gold nugget of entertainment for me. I cleaned and dried the pages then read it in a day. Sweet nostalgia.
*3.5 stars* Honestly, I enjoyed this little book way more than I should have. I would recommend it for young readers for sure! It is the kind of silly story I would have liked to read at a younger age, during the ebbs of my Harry Potter obsession, of course.
