I can't really say that this book will help you write your college essay, but it will provide you with examples of outstanding essays. The introduction of the book is traditional of other college essay books, in that it provides basic essay tips.
Once you start reading the essays, you will see that there are a variety of college essays. There are essays about hobbies, the arts, culture, and science. Specifically, if you read a section in the book with your interested topic, it will help you tremendously. For me, reading one of the sections in this book with my interested topic has given me many ideas for my essay.
Even though this book is just like any other college essay book, it is still a great resource.
