1 Dark Conspiracy + 1 Missing Friend + 1 Magi in seriously over her head = No more Miss Nice Girl
Someone is moving in the shadows, working to unleash a group of magical tyrants on the world. They’re good enough that the most powerful Magi I’ve ever met can’t seem to find them.
And now their creepy servant, the Whisper, has bodysnatched my buddy Will.
Is the Whisper working to further its masters’ goals, or its own? And how am I supposed to figure that out now that I’ve been saddled with an apprentice? How can I possibly keep a meddlesome teenager from getting killed when it takes all I’ve got to fight to keep my city in one piece?
Things are shifting in Boston.
The Dreamers are waking up…and as the bindings imprisoning them are weakened, their power seeps back into the world, bringing the nightmares of Boston citizens to devastating, terrifying life.
But the enemy made one big mistake—they took Will.
I’ll do whatever it takes to get him back. They want nightmares? I’ll give them nightmares.
Go up and hit “Read for Free” or “Buy Now” and get ready to cheer for the science geek Magi from Boston!
The first three books where sooo good. The fourth was ok considering it was written just because the first three sold well. But, now we’re getting into just writing to sell. There’s nothing good here. No world building, no adventure and no romance, basically just dead space. The author is ruining any reputation built in the first three books.
Having tempest co author didn't help the book is incoherent. The sentence structure makes no sense the plot and whole concept is decipherable truly bad the only things I liked were the raven the family relationship and her relationship with stephan that was good otherwise I have no clue what this book is about nmm, kkkjjjjjjjhjjjjjjj
This one just didn't do it for me. I enjoyed earlier books, but this one seemed to be repetitive and very slow. It was almost a DNF in the beginning. There was so much "in her head" communication and not really relevant info that I was going to bail. The plot did pick up some, but truthfully, I'm not certain I'll continue with the series now.
The problem of the whisper and it having taken Will means learning to use the magic but Lacey proves useful and from that in the end a solution is found and with the help of her allies it works. The problem of the dreamers however continues to ripple. I enjoyed this installment and can't wait to find out what comes next.
I recall the previous book In the series seemed perfunctory. Some plot advanced. I really thought the series was not for me after all then after setting it aside 30 pages in. Either things shifted for the good or, more likely, I found the book come alive. No one character cul de sacs. World building continues. Satisfying book.
I love that even though she has so much still to learn Aisling manages to have lightbulb moments and join the dots. She also listens to suggestions and considers the options. I truly hope Bastion is able to stay with her.
What I love about all of these authors stories is the humor! It always come when you need it! Great characters Great action Great wold(s) This story missed a meal at the folkes, but was great in every other way!
Book four was a continuous great read, I was suddenly surprised when I reached the end as we were barreling along. Already sad there is only one more book…
