This was a book my cousin picked out for us. It was a very sweet story of the fun activities Daddies and their children partake in and enjoy together. With cute illustrations and simple text, this book was an easy and touching read.

The Book "My Daddy and I" is a fairly simple book with a strong meaning behind the story. I like the fact that it's a realistic fiction book. It's fairly short but gets the job done. It's Developmentally appropriate for the age group I intend which would be elementary setting. A father and his two children have the time of there lives. He expresses the love and respect children all around should have towards their parents and guardians. This book can make a child read between the lines and show empathy towards parents and every thing they do for their kids. It may not get noticed, but parents do amazing things everyday. The plot is understandable; the beginning, middle, and end are clear. It will hold young students' interests because the people within and situations are relate-able. Many kids can identify with a only having a father and spending quality time together.

My Daddy and I is simply a wonderful book to read to your child whether it's dad or mom reading it to your child. My daughter enjoyed the photos in this book. She also enjoyed the rhyming of the words throughout the book which always catches her attention and makes her laugh. I would recommend this to parents to read to their children because it is such a heartwarming read to share with them.

I really like this book. It gave realistic things a daddy would do with his children. I also liked that the daddy took the kids to church and helped serve an elderly person. A top toddler book for me!

Lovely story but the bit about singing hymns and quietly praying didn't quite fit in my household.
