He's the small-town ER doctor with a playboy reputation for breaking hearts. She's the town’s most notorious flirt, not about to become his latest conquest. Her defiant challenge - a reckless holiday bet, the first to kiss the other before New Year’s loses - neither realizing the true stakes.

Everyone at Eastport General knows Dr. Reggie Morgan's reputation—devastatingly handsome, wickedly charming, and untouchable where it counts. But his teasing facade hides a carefully guarded secret—one that's kept him from letting anyone get too close.

Ivy Springwood, the fiery volleyball coach now stuck in his ER, sees past his practiced lines and perfect smile. Instead of swooning, she challenges him to a holiday game: It starts as a perfect distraction, or it would be—if every heated glance and mistletoe moment didn’t threaten to ignite the spark between them.

But as Holiday snowflakes swirl and Christmas lights cast their glow, their playful competition ignites something neither expected. Behind Reggie's practiced charm, Ivy glimpses a man hiding from his past. And beneath her flirtatious bravado, Reggie discovers a woman who makes him want to risk everything.

But in this game of hearts, playing it safe is the biggest risk of all.

Fall in love with DOCTOR CHARMER, where holiday magic meets medical romance in this standalone addition to the Doctors of Eastport General Hospital Series.

Charmer versus Charmer. I wanted to say Player versus Player except neither Ivy nor Reggie was ever malicious. However, these two could have been the definition behind that old joke about how porcupines mate: there were lots of spiky defenses between them and the need for careful approaches. I now begin to realize that I’ve been missing out on the earlier books in this series. This one stands perfectly well on its own; I was never at a loss while reading this book, but there were references to events and the couples from previous books that make my one-click finger itchy to add the rest of the series to my library. I’ve only barely closed the covers and I’m already missing these characters.

Oh, so much fun! Full of humor and wit!
Reggie is head of the ER at Eastport General. He's very good at his job, but he's got a reputation as a huge flirt. In fact, he's known around the hospital as Dr. Charmer. It seems he can flash a smile and charm his way into or out of anything. He's handsome and confident, and he's not shy about leaning into the reputation.
Ivy is a college volleyball coach. She's on a road trip with her team when they get in an accident on icy roads and end up in the ER. More worried about her team than herself, Ivy doesn't even want to get checked out, despite a gash on her head. Reggie persuades her, using his charming ways. He's surprised, though, when she returns his smooth talking with some of her own. Ivy, too, has a reputation. Her team affectionately calls her Coach Flirt-a-lot.
They find themselves drawn into bantering with each other, playing the game they both know so well. The problem is, the reputations are just a facade. Reggie isn't quite sure what to do when Ivy is not only unfazed by his charm, but seems to feed off of it, throwing it right back at him and calling him out on it. It's fun, but there's something under the surface that he can't ignore. He feels seen. For the first time in a long time, he feels drawn to someone beyond the superficial.
Can two people who are used to hiding their true selves find a deeper connection with each other? Or will they keep their walls up because they're afraid of what the other might see?
Such great banter! They loved to push each other's buttons, and they both relished the thrill of their game of cat and mouse. They really were so much alike, and probably the only ones who could appreciate the reasons for the facades they showed to the world. But all either of them really wanted was to be seen.
This was fun and flirty, but also had a bit of drama to round it out. Great characters. And I loved the gossip mill of the hospital. Can't get away with anything!
This is the first book I've read in this series, but I'm looking forward to catching up!

“I’m slowly discovering every version of you, and something tells me I’m going to like each one of them.”

Doctor Charmer is a quick holiday read that introduces us to Dr. Reggie Morgan and Ivy Springwood in the small Rhode Island town of Eastport. He’s known as a consummate charmer, especially around the hospital where he works. She’s known as Coach Flirts-a-lot and never misses a moment for a flirty moment. Their lives intersect when Reggie is the attending doctor at the ER when Ivy and her volleyball team are brought in after being in a car accident on an icy road on the way to a tournament. His commitment to his staff and desire to provide the best care to his patients matches Ivy’s desire to give everything she can to her team. We get to see where that part of their relationship shines, even when they butt their flirtatious heads against one another and make a bet to see who gives in first.

“I’m no different from Dalia and Victoria - haven’t you realized you’re my Griffin? I’m developing a condition known as resting crush syndrome. It only has one cure.”

Mel did a fantastic job writing a sweet romance that focused on the cute relationship between the characters. Reggie quickly shows his true persona with Ivy, how protective he is, and how kind his heart is. Ivy quickly showed Reggie how strong she could be and supported him when he faced conflict and difficulty at his job. They meshed well together, and I enjoyed reading their interactions with the supporting characters. Mel wrote a sweet, funny romance with quality writing, a solid plot, and realistic characters. This is the first book of Mel’s I’ve read, and I know I’ll be reading more of his books! They’re the perfect, enjoyable palette cleanser.

These honest opinions in this review are mine.

Coach Ivy Springwood was listening to her team tease their driver Griff. She coached the women's volleyball team at Cromwell College and they never thought they would make regionals. Griff, a member of the men's team, was able to score the men's team's van and volunteered to drive them.

Griff was coming around a turn when he swerved the van to avoid the accident in front of him. But when his eyes widen she saw the truck heading directly for them. All she could think about was protecting her eight girls. Yelling for them to 'grab their balls' she threw her body over Griff before everything went black.

Everyone in Emergency ran toward the bay as the ambulances were arriving. A multi-car accident and they needed to get everyone into treatment rooms to see the damages. The worst was a van that was hit head-on. He headed for the last ambulance only to find the door being pushed open by a woman saying she was ok and refusing treatment. Her focus on her team.

It was time to live up to his name Doctor Charmer he wasn't letting her see her team until she was checked out.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Ivy can flirt with the best of them and the handsome doctor and his charm are the perfect distraction as she worries about her team's injuries.

Another great Mel Walker romance. Ivy's dreams of the Olympics were taken away by and injury. Dr. Morgan hides his protective tendencies behind charm. Highly recommend!

Doctor Charmer is a medical romance story. To be completely honest I don’t read very many medical romance stories but when I do read them, I find them to be quite amazing books. Doctor Charmer is an ease to read, has fantastic characters, suspenseful, definite page-turner, romantic/steamy, entertaining/enjoyable, and a happily ever after for the main characters. Doctor Charmer follows the story of Ivy and Reggie who are fabulously developed/written and amazingly executed throughout the book. I adored getting to know both of these characters as well as witnessing their love unfold throughout the book. Reggie is the head of the ER at Eastport General, who is known for his charm and good looks. Ivy is seen as the vivacious coach of a college volleyball team, who lands in Reggie’s ER after an accident involving the team’s bus. The chemistry between Ivy and Reggie is undeniable, electrifying, and smoldering hot to where they could no longer ignore the feelings, they have for one another. Doctor Charmer is definitely a book that I would give as a recommendation to other readers who enjoy reading medical romance stories. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Author Mel Walker will come up with for her next book.

Doctor Charmer a book in the multi author series Doctors of Eastport General. This is the third book by Mel Walker I’ve read from the series and I enjoyed it immensely, as I did the other two. You don’t have to read all the books in the series to enjoy the stories, but I did read the three by Mr. Walker in order. Dr. Reggie Morgan was first introduced in the book Doctor Fix-it and it was fun to see him again. Reggie has come by his nickname honestly, he’s one of the biggest flirts at the hospital. When patients from a major vehicle accident are brought in he treats the coach, Ivy Springwood. Luckily her injuries are minor and he can release her as a patient because he has met his match, flirt by flirt. Some of her students are admitted to the hospital so she stays around. It was so fun watching both of them grow and change from charming, nothings serious flirts to individuals that open up to their true selves and show their feelings. Also, there’s just enough interaction with other doctors and staff that I can’t wait to read more from this series to maybe find out their stories too.

This was the second book I have read of Mel Walker and I'm loving his writing. This book was so good. I love all things medical. I watch every medical tv show on television so when I saw he was writing this after The Coffee Loft Series book I knew I wanted to read it and I'm so glad I did. Reggie and Ivy were EVERYTHING!! I just loved these two characters. Reggie was known as Dr. Charmer and Ivy was Coach Flirt. Two peas in a pod. These two also have the biggest hearts. Ivy and her team were on their way to a state championship when they get into an accident. That leads them to Dr. Reggie's hospital where they will soon realize they were meant to be together. This book had me laughing, smiling and was heartwarming. Mel made me feel like I was there with these characters. They were so well written and enjoyable. I didn't want this one to end, I would HIGHLY recommend this book. I look forward to reading more of Mel Walker's book.

Thank you Mel Walker for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

Doctor Charmer is part of the Doctors of Eastport General. A series of books about different doctors at this amazing hospital. Charmer vs Charmer is what you are getting with this book. Two very unique people who are so different yet so alike. Reggie has come by his nickname very naturally - he is one of the biggest flirts at the hospital. But he is also hiding something.
Patients from a major bus accident come into the hospital and one of those patients will forever change his way of thinking. Ivy Springwood is a badass coach and a charmer. Someone that could charm the pants right off a male. But at the same time, she is loyal and caring.
Put these two together and hold on because they have some serious chemistry. I absolutely loved reading about Ivy and Reggie. These two bring the storyline to life and really made you see that opposites due indeed go together. This was the second book I have read from this series, and it was a great read.

Dr. Reggie Morgan and Ivy Springwood are both flirts and when a multiple vehicle accidents lands Ivy in Reggie’s ER, they both feed off of the other’s flirtatiousness. Ivy is headstrong and hard headed and only takes Reggie’s medical advice once he convinces her he will check on her students.

Reggie and Ivy push each other’s buttons, but when it all comes to a head there is hospital situation that Reggie agrees to allow Ivy to help him resolve. The results prove they support, see, and respect each other enough to have a relationship.

It’s a great romance, with plenty of spunk (Ivy’s a hoot), sparks, and more than one budding romance. Definitely one of my favorites by the author because he transformed the male character, Dr. Reggie Morgan from a jerk in the beginning of the series to someone a reader wants to see get their happy ending.

Ivy and her college volleyball team gets into a car accident and is sent to Eastport hospital where they are attended to by Reggie and his ER team. Right from the start, Reggie and Ivy are attracted to each other.

While Reggie is known as Dr Charmer in the hospital, Ivy is also equally flirtatious. Both of them would like the other to make the first move and hence they start a stupid bet – the first person who kisses the other loses. 🤣

Over and above their flirtatious facade, both of them see each other for their true selves after spending time together in close proximity. Reggie is kind-hearted and dedicated to his job, just as Ivy is the same to her volleyball team.

I enjoyed those deep conversations where they shared their past experiences which led them to where they are today. Their plot to unravel the truth was also an amazing one.

Dr. Reggie Morgan is one of those mouth watering hot doctors with a certain reputation, but little does anyone know, still waters run deep in this doc. Ivy is a college volleyball coach who was on the way to a tournament with her team when they found themselves in a mean car wreck. She lands in Reggie's ER, and from that moment on, the sparks are flying between these two. To make matters even more entertaining, he's charming while she's a big flirt so they came up with a super fun game that made me smile so big. As they're going along this way, they really start to get to know each other, and it's easy to see they're perfect for each other but there are some things to work out first. Doctor Charmer was a sweet holiday story that everyone needs in their lives as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

An accident crosses their paths...but was it meant to be

Doctor Charmer by Mel Walker is part of the multi-author Doctor's of Eastport General series. This is the first book I have ready by this author so I was not sure what to expect. I have read several other books in this series and enjoyed them so thought I would explore a new author and see what happened. I quite enjoyed this engaging story about Ivy and Reggie. She is the coach of a woman's volleyball team at Cromwell College. He is an ER doctor with the nickname Doctor Charmer. When the team in involved in a crash they are taken to Eastport General Hospital and that is where these two meet as she is getting out of an ambulance and refusing treatment as she is concerned about the girls. Reggie lays on the charm to get Ivy to be checked over and then the charm never stops.

Doctor Charmer is part of the multi author series, Doctors of Eastport General. Dr. Reggie Morgan was first introduced in the book Doctor Fix-it and it was fun to see him again. Having said that, this book is easily read as a standalone without being confused or like you've missed an important piece of the story.
Reggie and Ivy are both self-proclaimed flirts and both come by it naturally. It was enjoyable to see these two spar and banter back and forth. Of course, being a medical romance, we still have the adrenaline rushing surges mixed in with the heated chemistry and banter.
This was another great book written by Mr. Walker and a perfect addition to the Doctors of Eastport General series.

Doctor Charmer is the first book by Mel Walker I have had the pleasure to reading and it was a joy to read. We are given a story that is sweet, easy to read and will have you laughing at the interesting interactions between the two MC, Ivy and Dr. Reggie, who is also also known as the hospitals Dr. Charmer. An accident sees Ivy in the ER, Dr. Charmer happens to be working and there is an instant attraction. The both of them are flirts however at the same time they know how to get under one another's skin. Talk about pushing each other's buttons. They two of them have a spark that ignites into something more with the close proximity they find themselves in.

I really enjoyed this quick read that pulled me into their world and didn't let go. The story gave me lightness and fun, along with moments that had me holding on. Ivy and Reggie click easily. She's strong willed, a protector of her players and very easy to love. He's dedicated to his ER, his team, and a protector as well. The story flowed well and I loved the connection that grew between Ivy and Reggie. The back and forth is feisty, and keeps the pages turning. A great read to curl up with.

Doctor Reggie “Charmer” has finally met his match when Ivy “Coach Flirt-a-lot” ends up in his ER after a car accident involving her and her volleyball team. What starts as flirting quickly turns into something more as they both let their guards down and let the other in. I love the two of them together and they are both so protective of those they care about. They’re the perfect match and make a great team! The side stories involving the volleyball players and the hospital staff are intriguing and I couldn’t put this book down waiting to find out how all of the stories played out!!

This is my first book from this author and my first in this series. While I liked Reggie, I just had a hard time with Ivy and Louise from HR. Louise from HR was unprofessional in my opinion. You either have a policy and enforce it with everyone or you don't. Then comes Ivy, to me her actions spoke louder than words. She would have never been able to stay all night after visiting hours etc. Too many things didn't add up for me. I'd certainly read more in the series though.

He's the head doctor in the ER and has the reputation of being a charmer. When they are notified of a serious accident with one person refusing to follow medical advice, he assigns himself to treat her.
She's the coach of the volleyball team. When they are in an accident she does everything she possibly can to protect them.
What happens when she gets to the hospital? How does she end up helping him?.

Reggie & Ivy have met their match with one another in Doctor Charmer by Mel Walker. Ivy is flirty and sassy and dedicated to everyone she cares about especially her volleyball team. Reggie is caring and charming and protective of his ER team. Once they meet, all bets are off (or are they? 🤫) This book put a smile on my face and has me thinking about the holidays coming our way.

Over Protective

Dr. Reggie Morgan and volleyball Coach Ivy Springwood have the same problem, they believe in protecting the people they work with at all costs. At the same time protecting themselves. The connection they have with each other is magic. Each knows just what the other needs without it being spoken. Ivey was my favorite character, and the HR director was my least favorite.
