Worship is book two in the Sinful series by Trilina Pucci. If you read the first book in this series, Truth, then you met Luca King, Dominic’s brother. There is no way you could meet this man and not be dying for his story. And what a story it is.
In the first book, Luca is badly beaten. We learn he has a wife, who never even visited him in the hospital but instead went straight to the lawyers to prepare in case he didn’t make it. Well, he did make it, and now he wants revenge. Luca also has an adorable six month old daughter, Ella, who is the center of his world.
Gretchen Andrews is Drew’s (from the first book) best friend. We knew there was some attraction already there the way Gretchen protected Luca when he was in the hospital. Now we see that attraction grow to something more. Even though she doesn’t know the whole story, Gretchen knows that Luca is married, and is therefore off limits. Gretchen is a powerful woman at work as director of marketing at Cohen Management. But when she is around Luca, she is powerless. The pull, the chemistry, is all consuming.
“She’s starting to feel like something inevitable, as if no matter how hard I try to avoid what’s set in motion, we will happen.”
I loved the way these two started. They became friends. They slowly got to know one another. They fell in love. But there is so much that Gretchen doesn’t know about Luca. She doesn’t know all the dark sides to his world. She doesn’t understand what she’d be signing on for if she was with him.
“It’s as if everything he’s made of was made for me.”
Luca can’t keep the dark side of his life separate from Gretchen forever. They were so new, they weren’t ready, when everything was revealed.
This book pretty much blew my mind. I wasn’t prepared for Luca, for how he would make me feel. Luca has all the words, ladies. ALL of them. This man could melt glaciers with his words. In Gretchen, he truly had met his equal and I think this was the hardest for him. She challenged him constantly. I didn’t even know that I needed this book right now but I really did. It’s dark and gritty while at the same time, sweet and swoony. Luca is just everything, and I couldn’t get enough of him.
In the next book, Depraved, you will meet the next brother of the King family, the brother they didn’t even know they had until recently, Dante. I can’t wait to get his story. Trilina Pucci truly has me hooked.

Luca was an outstanding follow up to Truth and a brilliant indication of how amazing this series is. I absolutely loved Truth and Dominic King and was curious as to how the author would follow up King's alpha hotness with Luca's story. And honestly? She blew it out of the water with Worship. I loved Gretchen and Luca's story. It was sexy, emotional and an amazing addition to the series.
Without giving away any spoilers, what we think we know about Luca is completely blown away from what is his truth. He shares a connection with Gretchen and despite the taboo nature of their relationship, what the heart wants, Luca takes. I loved the emotional connection they shared and the friendship they built. In this story I love how Pucci keeps Luca alpha and dominant to the core but we also see him slowly changing as his priorities shift when he meets his match. He is still ruthless, aggressive and dangerous, but he is also a man in love who's found his reason.
While their story may be unconventional, if you take a chance on them you will see that their love is raw, true and very intense. I loved Gretchen's sass, strength and self respect. She knew what she was worth and never allowed herself to deviate from that. Likewise, Luca's confident, alpha personality was the perfect counterpart. Gretchen was the one woman to bring him to his knees and her power was apparent in the way he proved himself to her. I truly love this story and am so hooked to this series. I can't wait for the next one in the series! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

This book was EVERYTHING!!! Luca is the very best kind of BBF. Genuine alpha with a capital A. Gretchen is smart, witty and just the right amount of dirty. Together they are explosive. There are scenes in this book that necessitate either hubby or B.O.B - it's that HOT!!! Trust me.
Their love is not an easy one and they certainly don't do themselves any favours - but you know what - that's why I loved it so much. They're both flawed but so absolutely perfect for each other.

WOW... I loved Dom and Drew in Truth but Pucci has raised the bar with Luca and Gretchen. The connection, the possessiveness, the heat, the obsession, the heartbreak and pain and the full-circle journey was one of the most emotional (and hottest!) things I have read in some time.
We met Luca King in book 1, he is the twin brother to Dom, married to a horrible woman, and father to his beautiful baby girl Ella. When readers first encounter the spark, the want between Luca and Gretchen, it's wrong that this feeling is between them when he is married and I didn't know what to feel until I met and fully understood his wife Shelby. (UGH!)
But Gretchen is a good girl at heart, battling her own demons with the loss of her father and while knowing what is wrong and right, she can't help but feel something more for this alpha man. With her sassiness and spunk and fire, she is the only one to tame this man and bring him to his knees.
Coupled with the secondary characters who I just LOVE with my whole heart, this is a family and nothing can tear them apart. The action, the suspense, the push and pull made my heart race and tears come to my eyes for this man who only wanted to worship the only woman he has ever loved and the woman who would be the only one to ever truly know the REAL him and what he is saying without saying all the words out loud. Oh and let's not even talk about going to Church... OMG HOT!
I just LOVED this book, reading it in one sitting and am OBSESSED with what upcoming stories the author will give us next. I love this little world she created, the layers within the story and the characters themselves and this new-to-me author has a forever fan. I am literally DYING for what comes next and I can't freakin wait!!!

REVIEW: 4+ STARS
"I hear what you mean, Luca, not just what you say."
I am in love with Luca's tongue. Get your mind out of the gutter!!! I'm just saying I loved the way he used his words as foreplay, and the way he gave me goosebumps. When a man can seductively whisper in your ear, making you flush and go weak in the knees, that's a man with some honest sex appeal. *bites knuckles* OMGosh, did this one push all the right buttons! Worship was billed as taboo with a hot, brooding Alpha, and while I didn't find anything taboo about it, I can't say that about the rest of the description. Luca was one super broody man with the sexiest tongue I've ever read, and add to that the tendencies I love to read in a true alpha character - we have a winner! But his predatory nature?? Holy crap, that was HOT. He told, he didn't ask....he was all sorts of right for me. I knew he was my favorite brother after reading TRUTH, but I didn't realize how much I was going to love him until this book. Snarky asshole. I loved him. HAHAHAHA!!
What I loved most about this book is that even though it took me longer to read than normal, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I didn't want to stop reading it when life called...and that sticks out a lot to me. When a book invades my thoughts, it makes me that much more apt to recommend it and smile while chatting about it, because you know I love to do that. The way Trilina put in these little nuances that made Luca and Gretchen their own characters, and the deeper meaning to their relationship - it was perfect. They didn't have an easy path to maneuver, which added more depth to their story. I loved seeing them grow. I enjoyed their buildup and the lengths in which they went through to get their HEA. I am, for all intents and purposes, NOT a mafia reader so it still shocks me that I am reading and loving a storyline that has that as background action. Not that I don't like them, it's just that I haven't been drawn to them. I really feel like this one had the perfect balance of drama and pleasure. Some of the drama, rather the business side, was brought to the forefront and some it was off page, and that added a nice complimenting dynamic to the drama of their relationship.
"I know she hates that she wants this as bad as I do, but she never had a choice. I wasn't giving her one."
There is nothing more pleasing than a strong character knowing their true weakness is the love they hold for their soul mate, but also the ability to know when to walk away and when to fight for it. The kind of love that makes them powerless to say no, the inability to walk away or to turn their back on each other, even when things go awry. There was a gritty push and pull to Luca and Gretchen's relationship and I was able to feel their needs and desires, but I was also able to empathize with each one of them individually in regards to their own frustrations. I can honestly say that I love alpha assholes, and I love a strong heroine who is not too stubborn or stupid with her decisions. Trilina nailed these characters, in that aspect. Luca knew who he was, but he also knew who he was with Gretchen. He was a badass, but again, he knew his weakness as well. I loved that part. Absolutely loved it. I think Gretchen's strength was also her weakness and that was a great dynamic to read as well. I love a woman so confident, she knows when to give in and it's not her being weak. So very HOT. They both were, and I am in love with their story.
Talk about leading me farther into temptation with this series! It has five more stories coming up! I know that I am anxiously awaiting at least two more stories because of how she ended this one!! I will say this much....the wait for the next book, which comes in July, is sweetened by knowing it will be Dante's. I cannot wait for that brut to fall down HARD. I'm obviously looking forward to more in this series, but I'm excited to hear what else Trilina will be bringing us in the meantime and after.
This book is billed as the second interconnected standalone in the series. I normally do not ever recommend reading out of order because I'm personally a stickler for order and progression of a storyline, but you can actually take her word for it. I appreciate the fact that this one is technically a standalone and told in a way that did not ruin anything from the first book, nor did she leave us out of any of the necessary buildup for this story. So thankful!! That's not always the case and I'm so glad it played out the way it did. BONUS: no cliffhangers!!!!
I'll leave it at this: for the record, never have I ever wanted to hear an audio book as much as I do this one. The Italian that was spoken in this book was already romantic to read , but I can only imagine hearing it spoken will up the sexiness factor of the love affair I just got to read. Next level stuff right there. Oh my, the thought of it alone makes me smile....

Worship was billed as taboo with a hot, brooding Alpha, and while I didn't find anything taboo about it, I can't say that about the rest of the description. Luca was one super broody man with the sexiest tongue I've ever read, and add to that the tendencies I love to read in a true alpha character - we have a winner! But his predatory nature?? Holy crap, that was HOT. He told, he didn't ask....he was all sorts of right for me. I knew he was my favorite brother after reading TRUTH, but I didn't realize how much I was going to love him until this book. Snarky asshole. I loved him. HAHAHAHA!!
What I loved most about this book is that even though it took me longer to read than normal, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I didn't want to stop reading it when life called...and that sticks out a lot to me. When a book invades my thoughts, it makes me that much more apt to recommend it and smile while chatting about it, because you know I love to do that. The way Trilina put in these little nuances that made Luca and Gretchen their own characters, and the deeper meaning to their relationship - it was perfect. They didn't have an easy path to maneuver, which added more depth to their story. I loved seeing them grow. I enjoyed their buildup and the lengths in which they went through to get their HEA. I am, for all intents and purposes, NOT a mafia reader so it still shocks me that I am reading and loving a storyline that has that as background action. Not that I don't like them, it's just that I haven't been drawn to them. I really feel like this one had the perfect balance of drama and pleasure. Some of the drama, rather the business side, was brought to the forefront and some it was off page, and that added a nice complimenting dynamic to the drama of their relationship.

There is nothing more pleasing than a strong character knowing their true weakness is the love they hold for their soul mate, but also the ability to know when to walk away and when to fight for it. The kind of love that makes them powerless to say no, the inability to walk away or to turn their back on each other, even when things go awry. There was a gritty push and pull to Luca and Gretchen's relationship and I was able to feel their needs and desires, but I was also able to empathize with each one of them individually in regards to their own frustrations. I can honestly say that I love alpha assholes, and I love a strong heroine who is not too stubborn or stupid with her decisions. Trilina nailed these characters, in that aspect. Luca knew who he was, but he also knew who he was with Gretchen. He was a badass, but again, he knew his weakness as well. I loved that part. Absolutely loved it. I think Gretchen's strength was also her weakness and that was a great dynamic to read as well. I love a woman so confident, she knows when to give in and it's not her being weak. So very HOT. They both were, and I am in love with their story.
Talk about leading me farther into temptation with this series! It has five more stories coming up! I know that I am anxiously awaiting at least two more stories because of how she ended this one!! I will say this much....the wait for the next book, which comes in July, is sweetened by knowing it will be Dante's. I cannot wait for that brut to fall down HARD. I'm obviously looking forward to more in this series, but I'm excited to hear what else Trilina will be bringing us in the meantime and after.
This book is billed as the second interconnected standalone in the series. I normally do not ever recommend reading out of order because I'm personally a stickler for order and progression of a storyline, but you can actually take her word for it. I appreciate the fact that this one is technically a standalone and told in a way that did not ruin anything from the first book, nor did she leave us out of any of the necessary buildup for this story. So thankful!! That's not always the case and I'm so glad it played out the way it did. BONUS: no cliffhangers!!!!
I'll leave it at this: for the record, never have I ever wanted to hear an audio book as much as I do this one. The Italian that was spoken in this book was already romantic to read , but I can only imagine hearing it spoken will up the sexiness factor of the love affair I just got to read. Next level stuff right there. Oh my, the thought of it alone makes me smile....

What a fantastic, goosebumpy, heart pitter pattering, amazing follow up to Truth!!! I thought Dominic couldn't be topped, but OH MY LUCA! Like, talk about an new incredible book boyfriend alert!!!!
Luca and Gretchen's story is super intense, angsty, sweet, delicious, scorching HOT. While their chemistry was super high and you just wanted them to give into each other, they would hold back and really built their friendship which made the story even better. Gretchen brought Luca's sweetness out and he definitely brought it and more. There are complications in his life, which he is trying to figure out and wanting Gretchen in his life definitely makes things harder but he can't stay away.
I loved this story so much, his rapport with the guys. Trilina's writing gets better and better everytime she releases a book! Such a great book, with great characters and I want MORE!

If you had no interest in learning the Italian language before you read this book, trust me when I say you'll want to devour every word of Italian once you're done. The things Luca says to her will warm your heart and melt your panties. Man Luca is sexy 🔥🔥
Gretchen is so badass, she is definitely one of my favorite heroines! She's strong, honest and a force to be reckoned with. Gretchen doesn't want to settle for anything less than being #1 in a man's life. She's not about to compromise that for Luca, no matter how much she wants to be with him. Her strength is one of her most attractive qualities.
The development of their relationship was fun and flirty. They become friends first, the respect and admiration they had for one another was beautiful. They were equals and I loved that about them!

An utterly phenomenal book! The writing was out of the world. Gretchen was such an amazing heroine, she was sassy smart and strong. The author did a great job portraying Luca's character, he was a full blown alpha male with such a vehement love for his woman.

This wasn't as dramatic as the previous book buy i did enjoy it all the same. i liked the MMC but the FMC may have gotten on my nerves more times than i could count.
Also this book had one of my pet peeves - when the MMC gives up their bad ways in the name of love. So annoying.
Other than that this was a decent read. It had better plot and character development than the previous book.

You don’t need any dictionary or lessons to learn the Italian language. Worship will give you all needed sentences, you can use while asking for a right direction…like to bed. Seriously, the chemistry between Gretchen and Luca was so strong and substantial, the cold water wasn’t enough to cool me off.
After Truth, we knew that Gretchen pretended to be Luca’s wife Shelby while he was lying in the hospital bed badly beaten and at the edge of death. I was rocking in the corner and mentally pushing the author to click publish button because the anticipation for Worship was killing me.
The second King brother is going to steal your heart, like mine. But not in the fullest way. (I am going to give it someone else). I loved his devotion and protectiveness toward family, little daughter Ella and so strong determination to make Gretchen his. I totally understand his hate toward Shelby and slowly blossoming love toward Gretchen but it is very hard to have a cake and eat a cake.
I hurt so much for Gretchen. She is so brave, successful, sassy and amazing woman and yet filled with sadness. She knew Luca was a forbidden fruit for her but the pull toward hot King brother was so strong, so raw and intense she gave up. And lord. The author knows how to make a reader all hot and bothered.
But for how long will she let him be his little secret? Will Luca understand that unconditional love of a beloved woman is worthy of letting go of his need of retribution? Will they learn to trust themselves after a misunderstood situation? And will Matteo talk dirty to me too?
Readers prepare for hot, taboo and emotional romance. Trilina Pucci again stole my heart, and make me crave next stories. So Depraved the release day.. tomorrow?

Uh I so wish I could give more than just 5 stars!!! I absolutely loved this book and have found my next one-click author.
This book has it all a broody alphahole who is a hot single dad with the ability to hold a grudge like no one else. A beautiful brazen hero who refuses to play second place. This is Gretchen and Luca's story. Love is not always black and white as there are many shades of grey. We learn this as we follow Luca and Gretchen on their journey to find the happiness they both deserve.
This is a love story, but it is not as easy as one would hope. There are a lot of outside factors that come into play. As much as you wish that it would fall right into place it takes A LOT of work for those involved to see just what can be lost if we don't fight for what it is we actually want.
Luca Knight is a force to be reckoned with when backed into a corner. In Truth we get the idea that he is the quiet one that takes all things in stride. Um let's just say that is so not the case. He will do just about anything for those he holds close to his heart. Especially his girls, no one gets away with messing with them. Gretchen is just as sassy in this book as she was in the last. She is stronger than she gives herself credit for. I get that this review may seem kinda vague, but I refuse to spoil just what a great book this is.
The secondary characters are well written and am so looking forward to ALL of their stories as well.

She was amazing!!! Luca is everything you want in a HOT Italian Alpha Hero!!! I loved watching these two form a friendship before venturing into something more. Their chemistry was off the hook ;) I thought Gretchen was the perfect match for Luca, even though their relationship was unconventional, their connection was real!!!

Worship is the second book in the Sinful series. Each can be read as a standalone, but since I really enjoyed Truth, I definitely recommend you to read it. You should know that Trilina Pucci is a new author for me and I'll certainly keep on reading her books. I absolutely loved Worship. I was sucked in from the very beginning and I literally didn’t want Luca and Gretchen ’s story to end.
Luca King is stuck in a loveless marriage and has an adorable six month old daughter, Ella. He would do anything for her and seeing them interact made my heart melt. Luca is ruthless, dangerous, protective and hot as fuck. You cannot not fall in love with him. This man also happens to share quite an intense connection with the gorgeous Gretchen.
Gretchen Andrews is battling her own demons since the loss of her father. She is very attracted to Luca but doesn’t want to date a married man, even though everything isn’t really as it seems. She is sassy, feisty, smart and strong. I really, really like her. She is confident and isn't scared of challenging Luca constantly.
I truly love Luca and Gretchen together. I love their dynamic and how it feels like he’s finally met his match. The attraction is scorching and the chemistry is EXPLOSIVE. They simply can’t fight their feelings and seeing their relationship grow and grow will only make you swoon.
Overall, Worship is a sexy, swoony, raw, emotional and angsty romance that will captivate you from the first chapter. It is filled with fantastic characters, witty dialogue, eye-tearing scenes and undeniable chemistry. I want more and more of them. I really do.
I highly recommend this book.

This is Luca and Gretchen’s tabooish story and wow it’s as good as the Truth book! Luca is a straight up alpha and knows what he wants and nothing will stop him. I love his personality and the way he is with his daughter and Gretchen! Of course lots of intense moments it’s the twin Kings of course you expect that! I hope more characters get there stories too! 5/5 stars

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Oh wow I have start off and say Luca is my favorite so far. I swear I love everything about him except for grudge tendimsies. They can be a bit extreme, but Luca believe it or not is a good man a very good man. Shelby I can't stand her from the first book I just hated her. Gretchen is my favorite of the girls too. She's not the submissive type but she also knows who calls the shots in the bedroom. I absolutely loved this book. Now I'm excited for the rest of the boys.

I could literally feel my blood rushing throughout the book , it was that good. Luca despite being the control jerk leaves all his powers just to prove his love and sincerity to his lady love which is commendable. Gretchen have that fierceness in her which molded The Luca King.

Prepare yourself dear Ladies because another of the King brothers came to steal your hearts! After reading the first part in the series I thought that no one would be able to live up to Dominic but Luca decided to prove to me how wrong I was... Worship is a damn sexy book, full of angst, unrestrained lust and strong and fierce feelings. And even though Luca and Gretchen's journey to happy ending is very bumpy it's worth every turn!
Luca is stuck in a marriage that he made to do the right thing, but as it turns out, it brings only problems and disappointment. The only good thing about it was his little daughter Ella, for whom Luca would do anything. But as soon as the man met feisty Gretchen, he knew right away that she was the woman with whom he would spend the rest of his life. But will Gretchen trust him and give him the time Luca needs to sort out his issues? Will she be able to accept his ties with the mafia?
Luca, Luca, Luca ... How wonderful it would be to listen to his Italian dirty mouth. Although he is a broody man and for half the time he behaves like a total asshole, there is no chance that the reader will not fall in love with him. His love is deep and intense and his protectiveness has no limits. 100% alpha who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to get it!
Gretchen is a type of heroine who I adore. Beautiful but also very smart. She’s also sassy and what hse gets she gives back. She knows how much she’s worth and will not be satisfied with the scraps.
Watch out, Luca King ... you just met your equal!
I love everything in this book. From the taboo, through angst, to sexy moments. Trilina Pucci has created a story that will wake up all emotions in you and leave you literally red-hot.

But boy oh boy... Luca would not just kneel for his Queen, he would surrender his kingdom under her feet he worship so and build a new different kinda kingdom just for the two of them.
