In this 13th book of the Cul-De-Sac Kids club, Jason learns that telling lies and trying to trick your friends can hurt. Literally.

This easy-to-read book for 7-10 year-olds can easily be read out loud to younger kids and be used to teach basic Biblical principles to young readers and listeners.

Beverly Lewis has created characters that kids relate to and appreciate as they read through the series. These books are wholesome and encouraging for young hearts and minds.

Well, I love Beverly Lewis and have really been enjoying the Cul-de-sac Kids books ... but I do so hate spiders that this one just didn't have the same appeal to me as the others. However, it is a good story, or wanting to impress friends, and of the importance of telling the truth. Good story for kids.

Jason gets a tarantula to add to his personal zoo, but in the process tells lies to save face and to frighten his friends. He and the reader learn the value of telling the truth.
