Let’s get one thing I am not Calynn. In fact, unlike everyone else I’ve met in my life, I hate her. She embodies every bad thing that’s ever happened to me. I must set all that aside when my only friend, a wyvern named Derecho, comes to me for help keeping his family safe. I can’t help him on my own and I need her assistance before a creature more powerful than the wyverns decimates the nest. Now, I’m on a journey to move Derecho’s family to the refuge of Calynn’s estate. I’m out of my depth traipsing through the wilds of the Sidhe, so she sends Andras to protect me—a half-human, the lowest of the lesser fae according to the rest of the Sidhe, and a man who shouldn’t cause desire to stir within me. Can we get the nest to safety before the creature returns? And how many of my biases will Andras force me to discard before we get there?

Sarah has always been a storyteller. From when she was a child telling stories to her parents in the back seat of the car on long drives until today, she has always loved to tell stories. She tried not being a writer for a long time and then decided there was no stopping the people talking in her head so she might as well let them have the voice they seemed to crave.

When she was deciding what she wanted to write, she at first decided on Urban Fantasy. That’s what she liked to read the most, so it made sense. But as time went on, she realized she also loved to read Contemporary Romance and suddenly had an idea for a story in that genre. After spending a lot of time ignoring the voices, she knew how futile it was, and so decided to have her cake and eat it too. Now here we are with two genres.

Will there be cross-over? Only time will tell.

This was a fun side adventure in the Sidhe with Calynn's sister Nialas. I enjoyed seeing Nialas grow as a character during her quest and finding her purpose. The romance in the story was quite nice as well. Now onto Destiny in the Flames.
