Published in 1971, this series is a comprehensive overview of many aspects of photography. Only the titles specific to equipment; The Camera; Light and Film; and The Print are a bit outdated, but not completely for the same principles still apply such as shutter speed, depth of field, etc. By far, a great series for any would be serious photographer even today.
This book describes the history of black and white photography with many beautiful examples from the past. Various aspects of light and film such as ASA, light meters, flash bulbs, filtering, and graininess are described and demonstrated. It is nice from a historical point of view.

Really simplistic pre-digital information, but very helpful because of this. It dissects things in a pretty straight-forward manner. Ok for damn timelife thingy. I need to learn lighting NOW.
