Although the sentiments expressed in this picture book aren't particularly new. After all, there are many children's books that reassure youngsters of the love a parent or caregiver has for them. But the text here is elegant, the rhyming lines melodic, and the comparison to various animals different than the ordinary fare since penguins, tree frogs, and moose, among others, are the creatures whose love for various activities is the comparison to this mother's love. Plus, after all that emoting, the child, Rae, turns all this around on the mother. To add further to this book's pleasures, the artwork is worth a second and a third look, layered, colorful, eye-pleasing, and a vibrant companion to the text. This one is a keeper, sure to enchant readers just as much on the fifth or sixth read as on the first one.

This picture book is truly beautifully illustrated, depicting different nature scenes, which added to the story immensely.

In this book, Mom is saying goodnight to her daughter, Rae. "And know I love you more than I can find the words to say..." Mom goes on to describe her love for Rae relating it to how much animals and other parts of nature love things, such as "eagles loving to soar and glide" and "lions love to race and roar."

I think this is a great book to help explain to children how vast love can be. I think connecting human love to love in nature is a clever way of showing how it is possible to love many things. This is a must-read this Valentine's Day.

I received a gifted copy of this book from Nosy Crow. All opinions are my own.

This is such an uplifting, colourful book. I love the examples of animals doing their favourite things around the world and the artwork is stunning. The rhyme is perfect and the language is soft and soothing, perfect for bedtime. It’s also lovely that the child gets the last word. I would definitely recommend!
