This book is quite different from the average romance novel. If you are open-minded, then you should be fine. But for those with less tolerance for differences, this is likely not a book you would enjoy.

This is the second book in a series fictionalizing the life of a true historical character. This book picks up 7 years after the death of the heroine in the first book (very unusual for an author to kill off one of the two leading characters between books, but apparently she needed to account fo

A SOLID 3.5 STARS AS AN INDIVIDUAL STORY.

WHY? WHY DID THE AUTHOR KILL OFF AURORA FROM THE FIRST STORY AND JOINED THE HERO WITH ANOTHER WOMAN? ALTHOUGH BASED ON MY REVIEW ON THE FIRST BOOK, THIS STORY CAME OFF BETTER.

OUR HERO was brought back to become the King by a friend, after he has retired at the age of 27 to the monastery to mourn his dead wife and son. It was a pity that Aurora had to die and it made no sense why..unless of course the author had planned from the start to have him wedded

Excellent read

The second in a trilogy finds a despondent king trying to live again after the death of his queen. Another book I could not put down.

Written by a woman from my hometown of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Never had the courage to try to meet her though.

I write romance novels set in the dark ages, medieval and English Regency time periods and fantasy and historical novels with Celtic influences. My books have been published in Russia, China, the Netherlands and Germany. I was raised in the Midwest but I’ve lived in Wyoming for over thirty years. I work at a public library where I have the enviable job of ordering adult fiction. I’m married and ha ...more
