The Gramm Curse is a prequel novella to Everlasting, the first book in Candace Knoebel’s Night Watchman Series.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a great story, but it’s the characters that make it stand out for me. The book journeys into the mind of the dark and brooding Jaxen Gramm before he meets heroine Faye Middleton. Jaxen is a compelling character who takes everything his volatile life throws at him, and holds onto enough integrity to make him really likeable.

The Gramm family is cursed. W

Candace Knoebel’s, The Gramm Curse was an amazingly fast read. Like her previous novels, The Gramm Curse does not disappoint; it is fast-paced, well-written, and above all from Jaxen’s prospective. Oh how I loved getting to feel his struggles not only with his curse and Jezi, but also with his draw to Fay Middleton. I feel that I am very fortunate to have read this after book one and two, of The Night Watchman Series, and not between book one and two. I believe if I had read The Gramm Curse betw ...more

It seems that Candace Knoebel gets it right every time she writes! I have yet to come across a single flaw in any of her writing, and I am awed every time I pick up one her books, because she has this spellbinding way of drawing her readers in to the adventures she creates.

After reading Everlasting I was thrilled to hop into Jaxen's mind and read this book. I'm a huge Jax fan! In fact, I'm a huge Gramm brothers fan. Gavin and Jax will melt your heart. They did in Everlasting, but aft

I love, love, loved Everlasting, the first book in The Night Watchmen series and all that goes with it. The action, the characters, the magic, and more importantly Jaxen Gramm! *sigh* And when I found out that Candace Knoebel was going to give me a novella from his point of view I felt like running all over town spreading my extreme joy about this momentous news, but the fact that I hate to run left me just squealing and fangirling in the privacy of my very own living room.

And the fa

OMG, where to start?! Well, The Gramm Curse is set right before Everlasting. You can read them in the order you’d like, but in a way, The Gramm Curse made me understand Everlasting better, just as Everlasting made me understand The Gramm Curse better. Not making sense, am I? ;-)
As you may know, The Gramm brothers have a curse upon them. If they fall in love, their loved one dies. If they don’t fall in love with their witch…. They die. With me so far? What if you got a remote shot at findin

The Gramm Curse gives us the oportunity to get into Jaxen's mind. His mind could be describe as a secretive, obscure, depresive place but not for me. I think his mind is only the reflect of a young man trying to hard to cope with an awful curse and what looks like an inevitable destiny.

Set weeks before Evelasting this is a fast, action packed and engaging novella. We can read about the endless tension between Jezibelle and Jax. We witness some good fights against demons and learn mor

I was asked to beta read this story by the author and I was thrilled with the opportunity to do so. I enjoyed the beta read so much I purchased the ebook when it was released. Fans of YA Paranormal should enjoy this read.

The story features the two Gramm brothers, Gavin and Jaxen, but focuses on Jaxen's struggle to deal with the family curse and the feelings of his affinity partner.

Candace has created a unique would of Hunetrs and Witches who become affinity partners and their fight against vam

I was given a copy of this for an honest review for PRATR. I give this book 5 fangs. Jaxen Gramm is cursed. The curse on the Gramm line brings new meaning to the idea that love can kill. When Gramm falls in love the person they love becomes destined to die and if they manage not to fall in love it poisons their own bodies. Jaxen’s witch partner is in love with him and instead of loving her back he blocks off his emotions and acts like a major jerk. But when a demon says he knows of a way to brea ...more

A brilliant & thrilling start to a new YA series. It's told by Jaxen Gramm, he is a Night Watchman & they are each paired up with a witch, Jezy is Jaxens witch. Together they kill vampires & demonds & protect their sector. But for Jaxen & his brother, life isn't that easy, there has been a curse on there family stating if the Watchman & Witch fall in love one will die, & Jaxen isn't going to let that happen to Jezy. On a hunt a demon mentions a spell to break the curs ...more

What a great novella!!! I absolutely fell in love with Jax in Everlasting...dark, broody, damaged *sigh*

This novella really gives you a better insight into the relationship between he and Dezi and a good peek behind the walls he has built so well.

Jaxen needs cuddles! So many cuddles! The poor guy! My heart just broke for him! I love him even more now. And I love Weldon even more now too :) I love that I got to see a bit more of him. The bromance these two have is awesome. A great addition to the series. Bring on Evernight!

Candace Knoebel is a hopeless romantic with an affinity for whiskey and good music. Her love of words began when she met the boy who lived in the cupboard under the stairs. She's a self-proclaimed Lost Girl. Words are her mirror.

With two completed series, her work ranges from paranormal to contemporary, all centered heavily around romance.

Currently she lives in Florida with her husband and two children, and has just completed her thirteenth n
