Why would God ask anyone a question? We ask questions when we don’t understand. Yet, the Creator of the universe who spoke all that we see into being asks questions. Unimaginable power and wisdom are already His. As strange as it may seem to us, the Bible is filled with questions God asks. He is not the one who nee

When God asks questions, you know its for a reason. This was a great read, I marked up the questions and make notes. Learned so much and got a new insight on God asking questions.

Have you ever wondered why the God Who Knows Everything asks people so many questions? Or, maybe, like me, you never stopped to think about this much at all. You will be amazed by the wealth of wisdom we can learn from slowing down and thinking through what God is really doing
This book is an easy read, that is, if you can handle it. Because the ideas are big, the vocabulary and style aren’t. You could hand this book to older kids (10+) without trouble [Warning: there is a bare bones description

"Adam, where are you?" It's a question so many of us have read and wondered where God was going with that. Questions God Asks invites us to reflect on conversations such as this between God and several Old Testament personalities. Though many of us are familiar with the stories presented in Israel Wayne’s latest book, he discusses this and several other questions God asks of His followers in the Old Testament. As Mr. Wayne offers fresh insight, we are also given an opportunity to reflect on our ...more

There can be no question the God of the Bible is omniscient (all-knowing). That fact is repeated like a mantra throughout Scripture. We find this evinced in passages such as Isaiah 46:10, Psalm 33:11, and Isaiah 14:24. The plans of the Lord cannot be thwarted and His divine purposes will come to pass. Why then does He ask finite man questions at various points in Scripture? If God is indeed all-knowing, why does He ask man why? Israel Wayne, in his insightful book Questions God Asks: Unlocking t ...more

The title of this book Questions God Asks by Israel Wayne grabbed my attention. God asks us questions? I know that we often ask God questions that we want answered now. Throughout the Bible, God Himself has questions that He asks of us. We don't often pay attention to that fact though.

There are 19 chapters in this book. The title of each chapter is in the form of a question that Wayne will show us the context where God asks these questions. It is easy to understand and read.

In Questions God Asks, Israel presents each chapter as a question that was asked by God to someone in the Bible. We see men like Adam, Cain, Moses, job, Joshua, Elijah, and many others as they are faced with tough questions from the Lord. The often rhetorical questions make these men of the Bible think about the points the Lord wanted to convey to them. We can now use these questions to help us better understand the Lord and the situations we are presented with throughout our lives.

Israel Wayne fervently and consistently defends the Christian faith and a biblical worldview. His straight-forward writing style invites everyone, no matter where they are in their walk, to consider the questions God poses to specific individuals, then walking the reader through Scripture to see why the answers are so important. He also explores why God would ask questions in the first place.

One aspect of this book which I feel lends itself to being a tool for evangelism is the brevity of each

Questions God Asks

this is an excellent book for Christians to read. In fact, I would recommend that all Christians should read this. This book gets you to think about what would happen if God was still talking to people in an audible voice. What He would ask you?
