A swoony, age gap, brother’s best friend, runaway bride romance from bestselling author, Chelle Sloan.
What happens when a dream wedding turns into a complete nightmare? Horrible Dress - Check ✔️ No Flowers - Check ✔️ A cheating groom pretending to be my Prince Charming - Check ✔️ What should have been a highlight of my life turned into me becoming a runaway bride after seeing my fiancé doing something no bride should ever see. And instead of celebrating my marriage at my reception with my loved ones and adoring new husband, I'm getting drunk at a dive bar with a handsome stranger. A stranger who shows up at my brother’s beach house, where I’m spending my honeymoon – alone. But it turns out that my handsome stranger isn’t a real stranger at all. Emmett Collins is also my brother's best friend and business partner. I never pictured myself wanting a man like Emmett in his country boy jeans. But he turns out to be exactly who and what I need. Two weeks. That's what we've given ourselves. It's the perfect vacation fling. He doesn't do relationships and my life is…well…a mess is putting it lightly. There's just a few problems. Emmett makes me feel safe. His quiet smile lights me up inside. And that first time he kisses me? He brings out butterflies I never knew I could feel. I think I'm falling in love with a man who doesn't believe in forever. And there's no guide to love for that.
Known for her witty sense of humor, Chelle Sloan is a former sports reporter who recently completed her master's degree in journalism, and is now putting that to good use — one happily ever after at a time.
An Ohio native, she’s fiercely loyal to Cleveland sports, is the owner of way too many — yet not enough — tumblers and will be a New Kids on the Block fan until the day she dies. She does her best writing at Panera, or any place that's not her office. Oh, and yes, you probably saw her on TikTok.
As for her own happily every after? Maybe one day...
Well, it was fine, I suppose, but I'm not entirely sold on their love story. It all happened at lightning speed, and while some people say "when you know, you know," I still can't wrap my head around how they ended up as a couple.
It only takes around a month after she ditches her own wedding and ex-fiance (who she's been with for the last four years) before the MCs became an official couple. 🥲
Stella (26) bolted on her wedding day when she discovered her fiancé had been stealing money from her and cheating with a sex worker.
She got herself at a bar, trying to drink her almost wedding, and when some guy didn’t get the hint that she wanted her space, Emmett (37) swoops in and saves the day. They hung out that night, talking and sipping drinks without even bothering to exchange names. He took her to his place since she was drunk and didn't know where else to go, but Stella slipped out the next morning.
Three days later, after her sisters kept pushing her, Stella finally decided to go on what was supposed to be her honeymoon. She and her ex decided to rent one of her brother's places in Florida because she loved the beaches. But what she didn't know was that her brother had asked Emmett to look out for her.
When they ran into each other again, they were totally surprised since they had no clue about their connection. Long story short, these two had a little vacation fling that lasted for 2 weeks.
So, after about three days of being back in reality, Stella decided to quit her job and ended up getting hired by her brother. Emmett was taken aback to find her in their new office. He decided to keep his distance for a few days, which eventually turned into a full week of expertly dodging her. As in, he didn't go to the office just to avoid her.
You’d think Stella will stand her ground after being ghosted, right? Well, that’s not how it went down. Emmett heard from her brother that she's planning to grab her stuff from her ex's place. So he sped over to the address, bulldozed his way in to helping her with her things, and threw out a half-hearted apology for being absent for a week. Even worse, it only took one kiss for Stella to melt in his hands and forget about that abandonment.
So much went down in that last 20%, but honestly, I just wasn't into it anymore. I guess part of my waning interest came from reading the ending first and realizing it has a HFN ending, which totally killed the vibe for me.
It was alright, the plot was nothing special. It’s still a decent read, though.

the cover is cute and all but why does he have to be COUNTRY EUGHHHH 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 IM GETTING TIRED OF THIS COPY AND PASTE COUNTRY BOY SHIT THAT WINDS UP IN ALL THE BOOKS ON MY TBR!!!!!!! anyways the snippet-blurb-thingy is actually adorable and interesting so im looking forward to this 💕
I have read quite a few of Chelle's books but this one skyrocketed to the #1 spot for me I absolutely loved the characters. I laughed and swooned and then laughed some more.
It was a fine, cliché wattpad story through and through 😃 I honestly don't know if I like it or not, because I can't for the life of me understand how the MCs fall for each other the moment they meet 😬 I only picked up this randomly to beat my reading slump, which I guess did the job 🙂↔️
This book was a perfect start to a brand new series and let me tell you, I am INVESTED in these characters and this world! (And also Simon being Simon for more books)
This is the second series I’ve read of Chelle’s and I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. Stella Banks is my spirit animal snd Emmett might be the dreamiest man I have ever met. With nicknames like Cap and Prince Charming, I guess I shouldn’t have expected anything less.
🩷 Runaway Bride 🩷 Brother’s Best Friend 🩷 Vacation Fling 🩷 He fakes Hard/ boy obsessed
I love a good runaway bride, and Stella and Emmett’s bar meet cute was one for the books. He called her Tiger and she called him Cao and they had no idea they would meet again after Stella’s failed wedding. But meet again they did, and the sparks that flew after that. Holy hotness Batman.
Stella really stole this one for me. Emmett was the absolute perfect book boyfriend, but watching Stella be herself and find love and healing… yeah I was all for that journey of hers.
Plus the steamy bits were fantastic. And I didn’t realize I needed more spicy desk scenes but I absolutely do.
I must admit that the cover of this book has definitely won me over and made me apply for this one. Thank you for accepting me Chelle and Valentine Pr!
It all begins with the day when Stella and Duncan have to marry. But Stella just keeps getting more alarm bells regarding her relationship with this man. Unfortunately, that sixth sense turned out to be true and Duncan stepped on the wrong foot just before the ceremony began.
Stella just needed to drown her sorrows and, while getting wasted, she ended up meeting the man which checked all her points for the man of her dreams. Emmett is a gentleman and rescues Stella from another man. That night will remain in their memories.
After a while, Stella goes to Florida, where her honeymoon supposed to be. There were the houses her brother, Simon, owned. Coincidence made that Emmett was sent to the same place by his boss. A really funny meet happens there, where I laughed a lot!
From there on, the two of them started to know each other better. That spark from when they've met the first time becomes stronger and it will led them into a very steamy relationship.
I enjoyed the romance part, having so many cute moments and sweet conversations. I saw myself a bit in Stella, in how she wanted to be perceived in a relationship - to be respected for who she was and not be forced to be someone she doesn't even recognize. I liked that Emmett respected her and was super sweet and supportive of her.
This book had put me through so many emotional stages! I was angry, I laughed, I was in awe for their love and I was full of adrenaline in the last part of the story, having something different than that 3rd act breakup. A fun book to read and perfect for gloomy days, to make you feel better💗.
Guide to Love rule 13 Sometimes you just need to scream at the top of your lungs to Taylor Swift to fully heal.
I see what you did there 👀
Stella is having doubts on her wedding day and finds some things out about her fiancé that causes her to run the day of in her ugly wedding dress to the bar. She meets “Cap” while drowning her sorrows they don’t exchange names they just have fun. So imagine her surprise when she runs into him on vacation and he turns out to be her brother’s best friend.
The chemistry between Stella and Emmett is 🔥 and the BANTER ugh I love some good banter and they have it. I love that Stella grows into herself and starts standing up for herself and realizing what she deserves. And sweet sweet Emmett being there for her in every way 💗 I love these two so much. And Duncan is the definition of the smallest man who ever lived. I’m so excited for this new series from Chelle and we will never be tired of Simon !

4.5 RUNAWAY BRIDE STARS !!! Ugh this was such a good brother’s best friend romance mixed with an age gap, a golden retriever MMC, a vacation fling, secret relationship and forced proximity .. holy goodness ! Emmet and Stella are the complete ironic meet cute match made in heaven . Stella is a literal runaway bride and Emmet is the bar owner of the bar she chooses to hide out at . One thing leads to another and now the two of them are in a secret relationship to keep it on the down low since Emmet is Stella’s brother’s best friend . I am so very excited for book two !
This is book one on the Guide to Love series and it can be read as a complete standalone .
This book was given to me for honest review by Valentine PR + Literary Management .
This book was an all around good time! I smiled, I laughed and I highlighted so many moments! The guide’s rules were perfection!
We start by meeting Stella on one of the worst days of her life, with a twist I never ever expected, and go from there. You can’t help but root for her. Her character growth alone was a pleasure to read. The way she rebuilt herself and gained confidence was everything!! Then comes Emmett. He’s perfect and top tier book boyfriend material! His little attentions and gestures, his relationship with his sister and nephew, his prince charming personality and how he protects what’s his made him the sweetest guy. Together with their banter, chemistry and connection, Stella and Emmett captivate you and you can’t help but root for them. I loved seeing their interactions with Stella’s siblings. What a supportive bunch! The ending was perfect and I can’t to see what comes next in the series.
I would like to thank Chelle Sloan and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read and review Runaway Bride’s Guide to Love.
Stella becomes a runaway bride after discovering her finance - minutes away from being her husband cheating on her. She meets a handsome stranger while drowning her sorrows. Thinking she would never see him again, she is floored to find the handsome stranger showing up to her not so great, by herself honeymoon. Turns our her handsome stranger is Emmett, her older brother's best friend. I loved this story and the rules for the runaway bride. This was great read/listen! I also loved getting to "see" Simon again!
Tyler Donne and Amanda Stribling narrated and are new to me audiobook narrators. They were so easy to listen to and brought the emotions and chemistry to the next level. They made it so easy to get invested in Stella and Emmet's story. Five Stars! Highly Recommend!
Amazing, hilarious, brother’s best friend romance with a runaway bride twist. Stella and Emmett’s story kept me hooked from page one. The spice is off the charts and parts had me actually laughing out loud. You need to read this book if you want a fun, sexy romance.
Thanks to Valentines PR for selecting me for this ARC. And a HUGE!!! thank you to the wonderful author for writing this amazing book. THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤
This book was everything and I didn't want it to end. I love Emmett and Stella so much, I fell so easily for them.
These two were a match made in heaven and to think that one didn't even want a relationship for good reason and the other just ran away from their wedding for good reason. This book was a journey, a beautiful journey and they have a special place in my heart.
I loved every aspect of this book, the big family, the found family, the romance, the spice, Simon; he was something else for sure lol. Emmett didn't ever want to get into a relationship and so he was definitely not looking for anything when he just simply helped a girl in a bar dressed in a fugly wedding dress. And Stella running away from her asshole ex and suffering from that heartbreak, she wasn't expecting to fall so hard someone else so quick. And to add to it Emmett was her brothers bestfriend and business partner. When they had that amazing night of just having fun, talking and getting drunk they didn't think they would see each other again until she went on her honeymoon. And from there everything is as they say history because thay trip paved the way for their entire relationship.
I love Emmett and I mean this is a man, he's no boy. This man was the perfect boyfriend and I mean I've said this a few times already but when you read this book you'll see why I keep saying it. But he didn't want to ever be in a relationship. His sister even knew he would make the perfect partner. The things he did and said to Stella were not things a person who just wanted a hook up or something temporary. He listened and always knew when she needed space, time or just something fun like a cake pop. He remembered or made note of things that she said she would like someone to remember she likes. And most of all he wanted to be a team, he always wanted to save her and be by her side, her being in trouble and him not being with her made him lose his mind. This man would kill and die for her. He was a special man. Stella went through so much in this book and I mean ALOT, it was blow after blow and even when she moved on, another blow came. It was so much and through it all she stood strong and she stood her ground. She found herself and she no longer held back from who she was. They were the missing part in each others lives. And trust me they fought it but after everything they couldn't resist each other. I love them so much.
Overall I give this book a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. This book was extraordinary. I loved every second and even wanted more, I'm not gonna lie. Simon who I've never read about before was an amazing brother. I feel like I hardly comment on the brothers, in the brothers bestfriend trope, and it's positive but Simon is just awesome. He's a good guy, always ready to have fun and I love how he was always there for his sisters. The other side characters were so good too and I'm hoping to see ALOT of other books in this series because I've shipped a few and also I've seen right through some so I'm ready for their books. But back to Emmett and Stella. They're a beautiful couple and not to mention they had immense chemistry. These two had me 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵. They both needed, needed, ummm, excuse me but as I'm writing this, I remember the office scene, "hide Simon is back" "crawl to me". Not to mention some other VERY VERY WILD!!!! moments. Is it getting hot in here?!?! 😏😏😏😏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
PLEASE RUN AND READ THIS BOOK. PLUS, THERE'S MORE TO COME FROM THIS SERIES AND I'M HERE FOR IT. Chelle Sloan you did your thing. I could do with some ice cream right .😉😉😉😉 ❤️❤️🥰🥰🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥🔥
This phenomenal romcom is my new favorite for a clever, hilarious, low-angst, feel-good read. I had so much fun spending time in this fictional world it ought to be illegal.
It begins with a runaway bride. Wait. Back up one step. It begins when Stella Banks feels uneasy on her wedding day and decides to talk things over with the groom who's getting ready in the honeymoon suite. Except he's not alone and Stella needs eye bleach to erase the scene in front of her. Trust me. Whatever you’re imagining, it's worse. So. Much. Worse.
Out the door Stella goes with nothing but a hideous wedding dress adorning her, finding a dark and dingy bar to hide out and get lost in. There she meets the nicest guy who watches over her and then takes her to his place to sleep off the alcohol. Except it turns out Emmett Collins, the knight in the dingy dive bar, is her brother’s best friend slash coworker, and Emmett shows up at the rental where Stella is spending her honeymoon week alone. It's a property her brother's company owns and Emmett is in town to oversee a few things for the company.
If things aren’t already complicated, Stella and Emmett share a fantastic week together and agree to walk away when they return home. But then Stella takes a job working for her brother's company. Did I mention Stella and her ex worked at the same law firm so obviously Stella needed to work elsewhere? The previously-agreed-upon walking away becomes impossible, as does the chemistry and connection between Stella and Emmett. If you’re new to this crafty storyteller's work, this is the perfect place to get started. A cinnamon roll hero, a strong, kindhearted woman, and unbreakable family bonds combine with humor, heat, drama, and tons of heart to make this an outstanding romance read. It's guaranteed to make you laugh out loud and leave your heart with a happy sigh.
On the what’s supposed to be the best day of her life, Stella finds her soon-to-be husband in a position (like literally) she never saw coming. So instead of celebrating getting married, Stella ends up in a bar in her hideous wedding dress with the hottest guy she’s ever seen keeping her company. Stella leaves her mystery man’s (aka “Cap”) house the next day, confident she’ll never see the man who saved her from the worst day of her life again… or will she ? Emmett couldn’t believe eyes when he saw a stunning blonde in a surprisingly ugly wedding dress at the bar; he’s content to let her be, that is until a finance bro decides this is his moment to score himself a bride. Emmett doesn’t even think before coming to his mystery women’s aid. Like Stella, the next day he’s confident he’ll never see his runaway bride (aka Tiger) again.. that is until work takes him to Florida and his business partner asks him to check on his little sister while he’s there. And the little sister? She’s none other than his Tiger
This book had me COMPLETELY hooked from start to finish! Stella is such a boss ass bitch and I know she’s a fictional character but I would kill for her shoe 👠 collection 🤤 Emmett might also be my new favourite book boyfriend; the way he cares for and supports Stella through the worst time in her life is completely swoon worthy😍 And the Guides to Love? Absolutely perfect and hilarious ! I was seriously laughing out loud ! The 🍒 on top of this amazing book are the tropes: 👠 Brother’s Best Friend 🔨 City girl, Country boy 👠 Age Gap 🔨Secret Romance 👠”Touch her and Die” 🔨 Vacation 🏖️ and Work Place 🖥️ Romance 👠 Nicknames 🔨 Playtime with Ice Cream 🍦 (ifykyk👀) 👠No Third Act Breakup
Runaway Bride’s Guide to Love is available to read (and you really really should read it) Oct 17
I want to thank the Author and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read this book early in exchange for an honest review 💕
While I did enjoy this book there were some elements that felt a bit odd to me! While I can get behind the when you know you know concept it did sometimes feel a bit rushed, from running away from her wedding to a month later them being an official couple felt strange. And while Emmett is great he sometimes felt unrealistic? Like the whole “I’ve been a bachelor for 37 years but for some reason I no longer want to be that because of Stella” and don’t get me wrong Stella is amazing, she’s funny and crazy and definitely a youngest child but for his entire personality and belief system to change within 1 month from 1 person just doesn’t feel realistic? I did really enjoy the banter and had a couple of good laughs and kicking my feet moments! But for a surly, construction man who is no go on the relationships he sure had quite a few heartfelt speeches which again felt kind of off? And there were a lot of repetitive things, like he kept saying “I know she has more to say so I just wait for her to keep going” I’m pretty sure that exact sentence happened like 10 times and it’s like we get it you aren’t like other guys but also we don’t need to hear it everytime. Overall - Emmett is quite possibly my dream man as a blue collar man with a thoughtfulness kink and can talk about his feelings but also build me my dream closet?
I also wish we’d spent some more time in their Florida bubble, for what their whole relationship is based off of I wish we’d spent more time getting to see that.
I don’t personally feel like Stella needed time to get over Duncan because I’ve been in a similar situation where the relationship ends and you’re more mad at yourself for what you allowed yourself to go through then you are at the other person or the relationship ending so them getting together while it does feel a bit rushed it’s not crazy to me either.
All around I enjoyed this book! I thought it was cute and well done and I appreciated there was no real “breakup” between the couple it was a nice, quick & easy read! It definitely hits a lot of the stereotype markers for this genre but I guess that’s to be expected. If you are considering picking it up I’d say do it! It was still a good cute well written book :)

This one was 4.5 ⭐️ for me. I really enjoyed this book from the get go. Stella is getting married and everything is going wrong. On top of everything she has to wear her soon to be mother in laws hideous wedding dress. We’re introduced to her hilarious and supportive family who I loved immediately. Then right before the wedding she starts spiraling a little and goes to speak to her fiancé but finds him in a very comprising position, so she does what any woman in her right mind would do and runs out in that god awful dress only to end up getting drunk in a dive bar where she meets Emmett. They never actually learn each others real names that night which leads to some hilarious shenanigans.
Emmett is everything you want in a book boyfriend and is determined not to be anyone’s anything. He doesn’t do relationships. Enter Stella who he quickly finds he can’t live without and his hold world changes. Their story is so funny and sweet. I love these two together so much. I loved watching Stella heal and find the love she deserves and watching Emmett realize he is not only capable of being in a relationship he’s amazing at it.
I listened to the audiobook version of this book dual narrated by Amanda Stribling and Tyler Donne. The narration was perfect they did a great job of keeping me engaged and I have to say I loved the southern accents!

Stella Banks finds out on her wedding day that her fiancée is a liar and a cheater, all while wearing a hideous wedding dress. What better way to spend your would-be wedding day than getting day drunk with a kind, handsome stranger? She never knew how she could thank the man that let her cry and made her laugh on the worst day of her life. Until shes on her solo honeymoon at her brother’s rental home. Suddenly, she’s face to face with him again. Neither one can believe that Emmett is her brother’s best friend and employee. Small world. While spending time together, they realize there might be more there than friendship. But what happens in Florida, stays in Florida 🤷♀️😘
This was my first read from a Chelle Sloan and it certainly won’t be my last. This book was sassy, sweet ‘n spicy. A perfect swoony rom-com.
This book releases 10/17/24
**I was given an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for my honest review**
Chelle Sloan knocked it out of the park with this book! I wasn’t sure what to expect reading her latest and let me tell you I devoured this book!!! Tiger and Cap are the best! The meet cute that happens between these two from her running from her wedding to falling apart at a bar. Emmett is the complete package book boyfriend. This golden retriever MMC claims to not be a relationship guy but he proves anything but when it comes to his friendship with Stella. I could read this book over and over and never tire of reading it. You must read this ASAP! It gives all the emotions and spice. Who knew your forever person could be so close yet so far until one day. That’s all it took for Emmet and Stella.
Favorites from the book:
"You're beautiful and smart. You're brave and bold, and yes, a little crazy."
You can learn a lot about a man by how he treats you when you're a passenger princess.
"You'll just have to be a better actress so no one knows I've f@*!ed you six ways from Sunday."
“Winning a breakup is key to moving on. Telling people your ex has a small 🍆 also helps.”
"First a shoe, now a broom? You're moving up with your choice of weapons, Tiger."
Tropes: Age Gap Golden Retriever MMC Brother’s Best Friend Close Proximity Vacation Fling Secret Romance Office Romance
This is my first Chelle Sloan book, and I'm a new fan! Stella and Emmet are the ideal meet-cute pairing. Stella is a runaway bride, and Emmet is at the the bar where she hides out. They create nicknames for one another, Tiger and Cap, while keeping their identities hidden. Emmet takes it upon himself to watch after her after discovering why she fled. Fate brings them together at their next meeting. One thing leads to another, and the two of them are now involved in a secret relationship. They decide to keep it quiet because it turns out that Emmet is Stella's brother's friend and business partner!
Their chemistry is fire! 🔥 I enjoy their witty banter and the numerous laugh-out-loud moments. I also love the strong family dynamic.
Audiobook: The narrators, Tyler Donne and Amanda Stribling, are new to me. I thought the dual narration worked really well. They naturally expressed all of the emotions, and it was an easy listen.
This is the first book in the Guide to Love series, and it may be read as a standalone.

review💭 oh wow, this was such a sweet read! emmett is the perfect gentleman and stella has so much strength, together they are incredible. i loved stella’s character a lot, after running away from her wedding and awful fiancé she stubbles across the most amazing man. everything emmett did was perfect even down to the smallest of things, he was kind, passionate and caring. i loved their story a lot and it shows that there is no right time to meet ‘the one’ and it might just be at the most unconventional of times but for those two it was the perfect time. right away you could see all emmett wanted to do was protect and love stella. he knew she didn’t need because she could handle herself but he still wanted to help and fight with her which was lovely. they had amazing chemistry and a beautiful connection that was so enjoyable to read. the way these two met as well was lovely, his tiger and her cap 🥰
this was my first chelle sloan book and i'm so grateful i got to read this arc! i will defo be carrying on the series as and when they are released 🤭
I thought that this was such an adorable romcom! It was so cute and I was laughing so much at Stella's antics. Stella is our runaway bride who happens to meet a stranger at a bar and he helps her get through the worst day of her life. Fast forward a little bit and she meets him once again when she takes a solo honeymoon. Only this time she realizes who the stranger is. Her brother's best friend.
This is one of those books that you just have such a great time reading. It is funny and it really keeps your attention. We also get a hot country boy who will do anything for his woman. Also he has a dog and who can turn down a man who loves dogs? I also loved the side characters in this book. They brought so much to the story and I am so excited to read some of the sister's stories later on. I'm also interested in going back and reading some of Chelle's backlist.
Overall if you are wanting a cute romcom where you can laugh and enjoy a cute story, then this is the one for you.
What to expect: ~ Runaway bride ~ Age gap ~ Brother's bestfriend ~ City girl x country boy ~ Vacation fling
To anyone who feels like life is passing them by, and they need to “fit in,” I implore you to read this book. Yes, it was titled “Runaway Bride’s Guide to Love,” but I feel Chelle touched on such a deeper meaning.
Stella Banks did what she thought she was supposed to. All her friends were pairing off and she felt she needed to too. (Raise your hand if you also entered and stayed in a relationship because of that feeling.)
Thankfully for Stella, and hopefully the rest of us, we saw those red flags and got out while we still could. In Emmett, Stella found pieces of herself again, but through Emmett, he showed her how she can rewrite the narrative on her own.
An overarching theme I saw throughout this book was that you are on your own timeline, and did that resonate with me. Emmett didn’t find love until he was 37, and Stella, it took her 26 years to rewrite her story on her terms.
I think Maeve said it best: “ You have time. There’s no timetable for life. When you find where you fit, you’ll know, because it’ll be as easy as breathing.”
So like Emmett and Stella, here’s to making it count!
This was my first time reading one of Chelle Sloan’s books and let me tell you it did not disappoint! I loved all the characters and how they all had very distinct personalities. Simon made me laugh out loud and Stella’s “crazy” moments were some of my favorite scenes in the book. I really liked how Stella had confidence in herself and I didn’t immediately feel like I had to pity her when her life started going downhill. Yes, she did have insecurities in her relationships and identity but her confidence in both those grew as the book progressed.
Overall I appreciated how the author didn’t make Stella need Emmett for everything. It felt like although their relationship strengthened, it felt like she didn’t necessarily need him to survive, he was just a great addition to her life. I really really hate when authors make the FMC a damsel in distress that absolutely needs a man in her life so this was a refreshing change! I will definitely be reading more of Chelle Sloan’s books and I’m excited to read Maeve’s story next!
this was my first ever time reading anything by Chelle Sloan and it did not disappoint!!
i finished this book within 24hrs because i was so hooked and couldn't put it down. i mean i knew within the first few chapters that i was going to fall completely in love with this book.
i was without a doubt swooning over emmett. that man is absolute perfection and i love him. and that BANTER. i was eating it up like no other. the spice is off the charts. i also couldn't stop giggling and even laughing out loud.
this honestly might be my favorite read of the month so far. i love the story and all of the characters, well not duncan but everyone else😂.
Runaway Bride's Guide to Love is absolutely worth every second and i could not recommend it more. please go check this one out when it comes out on the 17th of October.
thank you so much valentine pr and chelle sloan for this wonderful arc of my new favorite book.
This was such a cute one! I love a good romcom and this book was swoony, low angst, and just so lighthearted and fun - which I loved! Stella is such a spitfire I loved her wild and fun personality! Emmet was so kind and caring towards her and I loved his protectiveness! They were such a great match! I also really enjoyed the family aspect of this story and can’t wait for the next book in the series!
I listened to the audiobook which is narrated by Tyler Donne and Amanda Stribling who were both great for the characters! Thank you so much Chelle and Valentine PR for an ALC I loved this one! 🩷

Runaway Bride’s Guide to Love had me swooning and fanning myself the entire time I was reading. Emmett & Stella are Fire but it's more than just their physical chemistry. The spitfire that is Stella goes perfectly with Emmett and his (carefully planned out & set your watch by his repetitive schedule) the perfect opposites attract. Emmett is the Blue collar knight in work boots & tee-shirts that a lot of women dream about. And completely took Stella by surprise when she realized he was her dream man. This book is sizzling and Chelle Sloan has once again taken my heart with her phenomenal characters and HEA storyline.
Thank you Valentine PR for this gifted copy! 🩷👰🏼♀️
I really enjoyed this age gap, brother’s best friend, runaway bride romance! Tiger and her Cap meet when she flees her wedding after finding out that her fiancé is a liar and cheater. She meets a mysterious stranger and they don’t share real names.
When they both end up in Destin at the same time, they have a vacation fling. But, he’s her brother’s friend and business partner. Also, he doesn’t do relationships.
When back in Tennessee, they begin working together and can’t deny they have fallen in love! There’s no third act break up and a cute pup!

Stella and Emmett meet when Stella is RUNNING from her wedding. (For such a good reason 😱) They quickly hit it off. I don't want to say too much because I'm all for going in blind. The bullet points above get enough across!
But these two had me cracking up, swooning and sweating 🥵!! We get some drama thrown in and I was here for it.
I just loved this book and ate it up! The fun chapter titles with a rule was a fun touch as well. (Swifties there's one good one in there for you too 😘)
Thank you @valentine_pr_ and Chelle for the arc in return for an honest review. Sorry for the late review!!
