Fate of the Vampire Just when Aurora and Jessie start to date like a normal couple, things go horribly wrong in the town of Tiburon, Ohio. People are disappearing, and Aurora knows it’s all her fault. She is, after all, in love with a vampire.
Fate of the Vampire is the final book in the Vanderlind Castle trilogy.
Call of the Vampire (Book 1) and Heart of the Vampire(Book 2) are already available.
This may have been book 3, however, it could have been a stand alone. Very well written. Pulls you in and makes you want to read it in one sitting. When the writer knows what they are talking about, an honest review is simple. The writing pulls at your heart...makes you want to fight for love, and will make you not want to put the book down!!! I cant get enough of the characters. The emotion that you can feel through each page. Love that makes your heart want to...re-read...over & over. This is an easy enjoyable read !
I was not expecting that ending, in fact, I wasn’t expecting half of what transpired in the book. Aside from work and sleeping, I haven’t put these books down in a day and a half. I can’t wait to read the next book. There is sex in this book in one chapter, but it is a sweet scene that is quick.
I enjoyed this book. I just don't understand how Aurora hadn't figured out who killed Collette, I mean I knew from book 1. But this book had a very interesting twists.
I can't get over how frustrated I was while reading this series. There were times when I was tempted to flung something at someone's head just to get over the negative emotions. Now, where to start?
Aurora: *flicks forehead* you immature, overly-sensitive, brave little thing.
Jessie: Oh my God, what to say? Nope, nothing except that you have got to grow a larger pair, my man. Seriously, dude. Your lack of faith in Aurora - the kid can take care of herself, that much is obvious - and yourself is something to truly be concerned over. I won't nag too much, because perhaps the time you were born in affects you. *nods* I think I'll stick with this.
Viggo: Still my favorite character, don't change. And ask Gloria to give you an extra little somethin' somethin', if you know what I mean.
Daniel: I fucking knew it the moment she said she saw Jessie killing Colette. I. Fucking. Called. It. You deserve to burn in hell, motherfucker. Tell Grumpy Grampie Vandie I said "Hi" and that he, too deserves what he got.
Mrs. Vanderline: Besides leading a tough life, she didn't let that keep her down, I appreciate that kind of strength in a person. Vampire. Whatever, people, you get me.
Grandma Gibson: God, you're a stubborn old fuck, but you're a badass and I love you for it. I really do hope you see Aurora again and that she tells you everything if that message thing didn't work.
Fred: Where the fuck where you when I was in High School, you sexy summabitch? Blossom is a lucky chica if you ever decide to tap that. *wiggles eyebrows*
Dan: You were a dick, then you weren't - I'll ignore the fact that you almost had to shit your pants to make you realize that - and then you were but kinda wasn't. So yeah, I have mixed emotions concerning you. I'll forgive you, though. You got thrown. Literally. No, really, I'm not kidding, this jerk, LITERALLY got thrown. One of the BEST book scenes ever. I had to re-read that bit because I was like "Wait, huh? This actually happened?".
Shelia: I'm not even gonna go there. Fuck you, bitch. That's all I'm going to say.
Blossom: The same thing applied to Fred goes to you: Where the fuck were you when I was in High School? Go chase Fred, I guarantee you won't regret it.
Did I miss anybody? Whelp, they're probably not as important if I did.
Anyways, my hat gets taken off here, Ms. Twist. Well done and kudos to you for not making these books as annoying as I thought they would be. Give yourself a pat on the back and have a cookie, you've earned it.
Fate of the Vampire (The Vanderlind Castle Series Book 3)
In this part of the story Aurora and Jessie go through many changes in their relationship. First they go to Budapest get shot at on their way to the Bishop tribunal. The Bishops told Jessie and Aurora they would have to discuss the decision. When Jessie tries to get a head start on hiding himself and Aurora from the Bishops he involves someone who betrays them. After the Bishops capture them back and Aurora states she will be willing to become a vampire at the age of twenty-four after having Jessie's kids. Jessie and Aurora start acting like a normal teenage dating couple or try to as much as possible. Other teenagers start to disappear without a trace around town putting stress on Jessie's and Aurora's relationship. The last shoe to drop is when Jessie's grandfather shows up and tells Jessie to end his relationship with Aurora. Aurora kills Grandfather Vanderlind with help from Fred. Jessie kills Daniel his brother with Aurora's help. Aurora dies but when she awakes she discovers she is now a vampire like Jessie and family.
I choose this rating because I very much enjoyed the reading. I loved the connection that Aurora n Jesse had. I loved that aurora had lived and died as a pair relative named Collette that was also in love with the vampire Jesse....the twist in the story were great . I would l d recommend this series to those who enjoy reading vampire love stories n the supernatural with a twist.....
Another fun read. We got some answers to who the bad guys were in this book and even though I guessed who they were it was a fun ride. I'm still wondering just what Aurora is going to tell her mother.
this book was addicting! im so upset with the way it ended though but I'll gladly read the birth of the vampire in the fall to read how they're doing with their new lives ugh I'm obsessed. definitely a great short series to read!!!!!
It was to short I need to know want happened to blossom, fred and everyone... they all were so likable especially here great grandmother I hope to read what happened to them one day.... cc
Aurora and Jessie go through a lot on their path to each other. This book will bring together the whole trilogy. I highly enjoyed the series and think others will too.
This was the final installment in the Vanderlinden Castle series. Overall, I thought this book in the series was a good read. There were a few aspects that reminded me of twilight by Stephanie Meyer. This book in the series gets three glittery stars!
I really like Gayle twists writing, a love story and so many good character's Jesse and Aurora end up being together , after all the evil vamps are killed.
