Not much new to say about this over and above my longer reviews of the other volumes in this Higurashi AU. I appreciate the effort that's been put into adding more depth and consistency to the first handful of original story arcs, and frankly dislike what's been done with Satoko's character.
Edit: decided it wasn't worth continuing. In the long run, I appreciate Ryukishi's writing in the first few arcs of the original series, and GOU was also pretty good. But I haven't liked anything else, including Umineko. It's very hard to break things off when I've been fond of a creator's work. But after several disappointments and a decent amount of wasted money, I can confidently say I'm done with his work at this point.
