A really good collection surveying of the main questions and disputes over Stalinism up to 1990 (that is, predating Kotkin's Magnetic Mountain and the neo-totalitarian school, as well as the question of Stalinist subjectivity)

This is one of my free book acquisitions. It had a wide variety of different authors writing about the Stalin period from different perspectives. It was interesting.
