Jeremiah Quick is Other, he's always been Other, and he fascinates Pretty Loberg with his Otherness. He doesn't give a fuck about society, or middle class values, or following the crowd.

To pampered, middle class good-girl Pretty Loberg, Jeremiah is terrifying. And she can't stay away.

She'd been trained since her earliest years to follow the crowd, not stand out, don't emba

Until now 'horror' was something I associated with creaking stairs, birds croaking menacingly, curling toes as the music swells to a nani-nani sound, the stranger lurking behind a curtain, a presence in a house that causes the doll to grow fingernails and throw the tea kettle at you. You just know that something awful is going to happen any minute, and you're afraid to look, really.
The novel 'Jeremiah Quick' however is tagged with terms like 'erotic horror' and 'romantic horror' by the author (S

*Might be a few Spoilers I didn't hide*

Immediately I was drawn into this book especially with all the “Labyrinth” references. For me it added a bit of playfulness and comfort. (I had a blast pointing them out and explaining what I thought they meant to a friend who, can you believe has never seen this classic?! /gasp hehe)

In the beginning of chapter 35 one can find this:

Dark Erotica
Horror with sexual content (non & dubious consent).

20/10 - Right now I am too freakn angry to rate this book.

Yes it was dark and F'd up, I expected that, actually I expected more. Around 40% I good bored and considered skimming a few chapters. Then we got to Jeremiah in Juvie and I found that totally captivating.

Then we got to the end, and I was like **what??? Seriously, that is what it was all about? Nope, not buying it. A guy with that many issues, would have done 'that' to h

Abandoned at page 30.I think that I killed off a couple of brain cells when I read this book.
I bought into the hype, climbed on the bandwagon, but had to tuck and roll very soon after. I tried, I really did - I was even (unwillingly) willing to overlook all of the STUPID things going on, the GROSS things too.... But what fucking made my mind up to desert this story was that this idiot woman allows this guy to sex her - in her own house, where she lives with her husband and children - without sa

Wow. What to say about this novel.

It's...intense. I highly doubt people will have a "neutral" reaction to this book.

Personally, I loved it. It felt real on a deep level, even if that reality was in part symbolic. It also totally resonated with relationships I had in my own high school years, in particular with a very close friend who struggled with a lot of the same issues, in terms of feeling forever out of step with the world, and needing an intensity of feeling and connection with others to

Writing a review for this book is more difficult than I imagined. When I read a book I want to get something out of it, to feel something and be changed by the experience. If that does not happen then, to me, it’s not a good book. I certainly got something from reading this book. I have to say that I didn’t enjoy reading the book and I told myself to leave it unfinished and move on to something I would enjoy, but I couldn’t, I had to know what happened to these two and how the story finished. I don't know where to start. This was a book recommended by a friend and after reading the description i figured it sounded interesting. I give five stars because i feel it deserves no less than that.

This is not the story i expected. It pushed at my limits and passed every boundary that keeps me sane. This is not a story about love, romance, and sex. It is about a shattered soul who wants nothing more than to be with his other half. I spent a lot of time misunderstanding what i was reading. I a

I'm hesitant to write this review so for now I'm going to rate it, and add my personal feeling to it.

Jeremiah Quick was a difficult read, one that I might not have finished. That said I had to force myself to adjust to it ....

"Once there was a beautiful boy, the most beautiful boy in all the world, and he lived here, and he asked for a dungeon..."

For once simple sounded good to me. I personally fell in love with Jeremiah.... I personally hated him. I wanted to shout and scream and fuck .... I w

Disclaimer: I received an e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

Pretty met Jeremiah in high school, and she was quick to latch onto him. He was the complete opposite of her and everyone around her, and he drew her attention like moth to a flame. But all of a sudden, he was gone, and she was left to make her own way through life, all alone. However, leaving the grocery store one day 10 years later, ready to head home to her husband and two children, he steps from the shadows and back into her l

It took a bit for me to get into this book but I pushed through and I am glad I did! I liked the alternating POV.

I did not like the characters through most of the book and the rest of the time I just felt sorry for them. However, I was kept on edge and turning the pages to the end. This book is well written but the entire time it is like WTF!

When Jeremiah Quick finds Pretty Loberg twenty years after high school, Pretty gets into his car, even though she knows Jeremiah will disrupt her marriage

Wow! This was a brutal read. Jeremiah was a messed up dude. At times I hated him, other times I felt sympathy for him, and by the end, I was just sad. The torture in this book was very harsh, and it was hard for me to keep reading. Had to take a few breaks. That being said, I'm glad I finished it. It's one that will haunt me for a while.
Not my scene. I found it disturbing, but it fit the category
