Really fascinating stuff here. A series of short pieces, most without any plot to speak of, just a great setting or series of descriptive ideas. More than once reading this I went, oh, well, here's where so-and-so got such-and-such an idea.

The first half of this edition reprints his collection called "the book of wonder", which is all in the "realms of Romance" and mostly involve people crossing into (or wandering about in) fantastical lands or situations. The second half reprints "Time and the
